Let's be real, 90% of people who spend minimal effort into build research is gonna get one of those click-baity builds and never run them on anything above Malice, and frankly they will carry quite a lot of matches and think the build worked. In reality just having the desire to win puts you on the top half of the playerbase and you don't even need talents to carry in these level of stuff.
I'm gonna make a build guide "REAVER OF DEATH SPACE MARINE BUILD". It's gonna be sick as fuck, yo. Thematically anyways. Not in practice. Anywho, I get that you edited out [REDACTED], but maybe if you don't wanna get into a pissing match like you said maybe don't call them an exceptional individual. I get the absolute ire when you see someone spreading blatant misinformation, but even just a little diplomacy can go an incredible distance. It was cathartic though. I catharted all over myself one might say.

My two cents on the situation is that while it may come across as you not being as hostile as you intended, others won't feel the same given the aggressive tone of this video. I understand that you despise completely careless misinformation and how it influences players to make terrible decisions that would be otherwise easily avoidable, but when you're talking about other content creators, you should employ a bit of tact discussing them, especially when you didn't do as good as a job redacting the origin of the video when you virtually name drop it which led viewers finding it and the other content creator finding you. He probably wouldn't respond in quite as hostile of a manner if you tone it down, which is something quite a number of viewers have commented on on several other videos. I truly enjoy the videos you put out and the excellent quality and analysis of the information provided in easily digestible bits, but I also echo the sentiment that you should temper your language to not come across as overly aggressive. You may say this is your normal tone, but others may find it offensive as it is in this case.

You’re right about the good content never gets views, whenever I see great builds it’s always low view no following pages who are just playing the build in a duo or solo auric mission with a link to the build page or quickly showing it for a few secs at the start
I agree with you and I think it's an issue of delegating, compartmentalizing, and organizing your CZcams set-up. Hire good editors, brand and marketing people and people on your team that can milk the fucking tit out of the algorithm. Get their asses over to you and let the content speak for itself.

Your videos have been helping me optimize my builds a lot, and also taught me that my friends have no idea how to build some things (2 wound curios on psyker was not a good idea, i now run toughness stam and health with block efficiency) Also watching this at work so i keep dipping and coming back, this is gold. Some people make builds and only test them on sedition and it shows
I'm trying to get into making builds for youtube, and this was super helpful. I've been guilty of using clickbaity titles before, but I've started moving away from it. I'm pretty confident in my builds, but this video reminded me I need to keep it humble and keep learning all I can about the game, so thanks for that!
Is dead shot worth it with an auto gun or does it burn stamina too quick. Usually run one 3+ stamina curio and 3x stamina regen perks . Or do you need them all to be stamina curios

Honestly I don't consider myself a good player but even I had kind of a breakdown when I saw the video of the build. The guy had the balls to call it ultimate something build in the goddamn title. It sucks. I lost my mind when the guy said "grenades are good but I don't use them".
im adjusting my sniper build rn trying to test some break points and trying to make it better overall in the long run for both sniping and melee gameplay, ive noticed the spotting perk ive ran with is great its just sadly for me personally i dont see much break point changes over marksman keychain with my helbore sniper build

Is it generally better to take +toughness than +health in curio for most build? (also curious of how you think about Ryken XIV videos, to me he is some of the better darktide youtuber)
Run his old vet build (standard) from his old video. It uses the Columbus but for recon I recommend switching the weapons specialist and melee speed nodes for +5% crit node and use no ammo on crit for las weapons. Then run infernus with the crit chance on weak spot hit blessings. For perks crit chance + maniac. Works really well in my view.
I tried running the left keystone with it but it sucks as it can't one hit headshot trash mobs like Columbus and it doesn't benefit from weapon specialist as its crits come in twos not fives.
Oh and I ended up swapping the 25 toughness for long shot but depends how survivable you find yourself. I run it with devil's claw mk IV but you could run chain sword or knife with it.
Isn't the point of counter-fire to help keep your stance going by giving you more targets? I thought you said it was good in your talent tree guide. Or is that just not worth the point?
I like how the criticisms are backed up by numbers in the meat grinder. Only thing missing is to spawn 6 crushers to further demonstrate the point. And there is a recommendation on what to do instead. Make more content man
After watching this video I am a little bit confused. Yesterday I was watching your video about vet skill tree. Maybe I misunderstood or wasn't properly listening (I was preparing for the exam at the same time). However as I remember in vet skilltree video there were things like: grenades shouldn't be used for crowd clearing; veteran has good stamina management; ammo refund on lasgun crits is viable in conjuction with other ammo perks. Maybe there are more, but I can't remember the video in details (it's hour long). Did opinion/balance change over this time or I am not getting something? I am pretty new to this game (less than 1 week), so there are no obvious things for me. P.S. if I want to use this fixed build, what about things outside talents, like stats on lasgun, melee weapon of choice and curios?
No vet has good stamania management TOOLS if you dont take them he sucks. Critical ammo on las is viable not good. Grenades on hordes isnt optimal its better than whats suggested

I was going to comment how it felt a bit wrong to recommend not taking counterfire AND not taking suppression immunity as if you're in a situation where there arent enough elites then that's a recipe for suffering from suppression when it matters... but in hindsight in auric maelstrom that NEVER happens, so its more for regular damnation and lower that that would be a thing.
If you run no dead shot. Stam isnt needed its just nice arguably optimal. Some guns benefit greatly from deadshot which alos benefits greatly from stam. Which creates a positive feedback loop

First of all, I find this video very funny and entertaining. I don't understand why and how it offends anyone. It's like a comedian, who acts like he's really pissed of by something to make his joke more funny. If Tanner was narrating something like "I'd like to offer a few suggestions for the build of this very respectful and definitely great Darktide player..." and so on, this video would be just boring. But this video as it is is just fun.
I would love for you to DESTROY my kantrael shotgun veteran build like this! Just been testing it around in damnation and so far it's actually pretty decent. Uses Deadshot and Marksman's Focus to oneshot just about anything from medium range.
I don’t know why the combat axes have such different damage models. I don’t think any other weapon variant aside from the shovels have more differences than just swing patterns. I don’t know if the Achlys axe has the same damage against armor as the Rashaad but even if it did the first heavy being horizontal makes it unfun to aim with.
ive used the aklys extensively. its like a mid point between the antax and rasheed, so not great against horde or monsters. you can get bye with it in a pinch. but i take rasheed now. However it is the coolest looking axe which is a shame.
Rashad has stronger maniac damage+stagger on its light chain than its heavy chain which makes no sense. 1 hit headshot on both flamers with light attacks or 2 on heavy. Only thing you need to bear in mind when using it.
Suppression immunity is one of my favorite talent nodes and it’s slept on by some players because it’s not a flashy dps talent. Great point about its redundancy with Executioner’s Stance, but I go with the shout myself. The utility that suppression immunity offers is hard to overstate. Playing Auric with a ton of gunners bearing down and a few snipers? No issues with taking care of business. It’s extremely annoying to try to take down priority targets quickly with the reticle jumping all over the place.
I wonder if you'll do this with that grenade spam build that some people like to praise, perhaps not as aggressive since it at least has some merits its just not god like as some people say it is.
i'll be completely honest, so far I haven't completely agreed on your builds and stuff, but we just like things a bit differently and I'm not that big meta guy. This video tho, got me, a big like and a sub. Many ppl fear voicing their opinions about others and stuff like these garbage videos, good breakdown, and the flame on that asionrobot was even better
While I agree 100% that shooting into a horde is terribly inefficient for horde clear, it's actually a decent way to quickly build stacks of Marksman's Focus while you're waiting for something more dangerous to shoot at. Probably not that useful in auric maelstroms, since there will always be higher prio targets to shoot at in those, but it works fine for regular/auric damnation (which is what my scrubby ass plays mostly).

Huh, I've gone like 400 hours and the only Curios I've run on Veteran are +Toughness and +Sniper. I've basically been living the entire time without Deadshot or Duck and Dive.

But I see on most of your videos you have like 137 max toughness or something, so I can probably get on with growing a pair and drop from 250 to 200 at least. Your previous videos thoroughly convinced me about running at least one curio with +3 stam, regen, block and or sprint efficiency (I now need to figure out how to find one), but how much of a difference does only running one curio with all three of those perks make?
Someone tried to tell me that Boltgun and Marksman's Focus are good together the other day. Wasn't aware Executioner stance gives you Suppression immunity. Doesn't say anything about it in the tooltip. But guess it's another Fatshark can't write descriptions moment
Also on suppression immunity, just take ghost and you'll be immune to both ranged attacks and suppression. I don't get why he would spend the talent either.

I saw his video 15 minutes before checking this one and I was like...wtf mate, I'm not the best player in the game but this build suck, and I said my piece in the comment section, because "fun" content is a poor excuse for bad content, especially when you have the word "ultimate" in it. Because many players who don't know shit about the game are gonna do this build and think they gonna be good with it. This kind of thing is not "fun content", it's cheaply made, poorly thought mass entertainment.
Maybe you guys should collab instead of arguing and make the BEST CADIA SHOCK TROOPER BUILD FOR CARRY YOUR TEAM IN THE Backpack AND NOT IN THE SCOREBOARD together. Love you both tho..

I think what got me most about the original video is he acknowledged that the build could use any melee weapon when he could have just recommended actual weapons from there or just power sword straight up. It's like the build can't be tooo good or else it isn't interesting and makes me barf.
Thing is, negativity only get you so far. Dunking on other creators doesn't give you increased coverage and only portrays you as a salty creator, which is not many peoples cup of tea. I know that you don't respond to creative criticism, so I'm gonna leave it at that. BTW, this creator does provide with gameplay to show the build and I must say that he carries himself really well and does end up with the unequivocally the highest score (yes, he also has the scoreboard mod and shows the results).

I kinda like shock trooper/opening salvo with a surgical helbore, though it's mostly funny in the seconds before things get really hairy.
It's fun. I run shock trooper all the time. It's nothing compared to columnus, but it's neat.

@@TannerLindbergi still prefer atleast 1 stamina curio in that circumstance, you only have 2 stamina bars with a combat knife otherwise iirc.

I would love for you to DESTROY my kantrael shotgun veteran build like this! Just been testing it around in damnation and so far it's actually pretty decent. Uses Deadshot and Marksman's Focus to oneshot just about anything from medium range.
I don’t know why the combat axes have such different damage models. I don’t think any other weapon variant aside from the shovels have more differences than just swing patterns. I don’t know if the Achlys axe has the same damage against armor as the Rashaad but even if it did the first heavy being horizontal makes it unfun to aim with.
ive used the aklys extensively. its like a mid point between the antax and rasheed, so not great against horde or monsters. you can get bye with it in a pinch. but i take rasheed now. However it is the coolest looking axe which is a shame.
Rashad has stronger maniac damage+stagger on its light chain than its heavy chain which makes no sense. 1 hit headshot on both flamers with light attacks or 2 on heavy. Only thing you need to bear in mind when using it.
Suppression immunity is one of my favorite talent nodes and it’s slept on by some players because it’s not a flashy dps talent. Great point about its redundancy with Executioner’s Stance, but I go with the shout myself. The utility that suppression immunity offers is hard to overstate. Playing Auric with a ton of gunners bearing down and a few snipers? No issues with taking care of business. It’s extremely annoying to try to take down priority targets quickly with the reticle jumping all over the place.

I wonder if you'll do this with that grenade spam build that some people like to praise, perhaps not as aggressive since it at least has some merits its just not god like as some people say it is.
it would be no where near as aggrrsive. i actually think that build is okay minus maybe the plus 1 nade node.

This video tho, got me, a big like and a sub. Many ppl fear voicing their opinions about others and stuff like these garbage videos, good breakdown, and the flame on that asionrobot was even better

While I agree 100% that shooting into a horde is terribly inefficient for horde clear, it's actually a decent way to quickly build stacks of Marksman's Focus while you're waiting for something more dangerous to shoot at. Probably not that useful in auric maelstroms, since there will always be higher prio targets to shoot at in those, but it works fine for regular/auric damnation (which is what my scrubby ass plays mostly).

Huh, I've gone like 400 hours and the only Curios I've run on Veteran are +Toughness and +Sniper. I've basically been living the entire time without Deadshot or Duck and Dive.
Yeah it isnt needed. Its just try hard optimization for deadshot
@@TannerLindberg Fair enough, it might be my being used to the funny "Can't die from being shot while in exec stance if toughness number big" mentality from before the skill tree rework. But I see on most of your videos you have like 137 max toughness or something, so I can probably get on with growing a pair and drop from 250 to 200 at least.
Your previous videos thoroughly convinced me about running at least one curio with +3 stam, regen, block and or sprint efficiency (I now need to figure out how to find one), but how much of a difference does only running one curio with all three of those perks make?

Wasn't aware Executioner stance gives you Suppression immunity. Doesn't say anything about it in the tooltip. But guess it's another Fatshark can't write descriptions moment

Also on suppression immunity, just take ghost and you'll be immune to both ranged attacks and suppression. I don't get why he would spend the talent either.

I haven’t found any other knives yet to get the good blessings, so I’m sticking to my haymaker since it does remove some threats not all of them but some I will get a better knife someday within a month just need to farm more Plast steel

I saw his video 15 minutes before checking this one and I was like...wtf mate, I'm not the best player in the game but this build suck, and I said my piece in the comment section, because "fun" content is a poor excuse for bad content, especially when you have the word "ultimate" in it. Because many players who don't know shit about the game are gonna do this build and think they gonna be good with it. This kind of thing is not "fun content", it's cheaply made, poorly thought mass entertainment.

I think what got me most about the original video is he acknowledged that the build could use any melee weapon when he could have just recommended actual weapons from there or just power sword straight up.
It's like the build can't be tooo good or else it isn't interesting and makes me barf.

Thing is, negativity only get you so far. Dunking on other creators doesn't give you increased coverage and only portrays you as a salty creator, which is not many peoples cup of tea.

BTW, this creator does provide with gameplay to show the build and I must say that he carries himself really well and does end up with the unequivocally the highest score (yes, he also has the scoreboard mod and shows the results).
