Why are we so pressed about whether the ring is Pandora, cluster, family hand me down, pawn shop - whatever. It’s not OUR money!! Furthermore, statistically, the more people spend on (expensive) weddings, the more likely they are to divorce. I’d much rather have a modest ring and have money left over for a house and our savings. You can always upgrade later (if you choose) when you’re financially able.

A very valid observation! Many women tend to compare the carat size, the cut and the style to other women. But you should only care about the ring on your hand. Why does it matter if the next woman loves a cluster ring?!
