Practical of Ultrasonic Testing Procedure

I am back with another video and this video is on the Ultrasonic testing of welding joints.
If I describe ultrasonic testing in simple words the Ultrasonic testing technology is basically based on the ability of high-frequency oscillations (about 20,000 Hz) to propagate into the metal and be reflected from surface scratches, voids, and other discontinuities. The artificially created and the directed diagnostic wave enters into the tested material and in the case of a defect deviates from its normal propagation. The nature of the defect can be recognized by graphical and parametric readings.

overlapping and scanning speed

Sir, pipe thickness 6.4 mm, dia 4".ut testing half skip catch one defect sir, but defect beam bath full beambath is coming, why is this happening, sir 70 degree probe use sir true angle 69 degree, but defect half skip and depth ok sir but beam bath only high full beam bath coming sir. Why sir. Please tell me sir

Sir,
When scanning a weld in 10mm plate using 45degree probe. Range is 125. Machine shows SP=43.5, SD=30.7,D= 30.7. How can I calculate where is deffect??? Sir please help..

45 degree probe for job thickness above 45 mm

How much overlap you taken , too blender mistake you did probe scanning movement is very poor , please scan 10%overlap i.e and one thing you must scan 100mm skip distance you doing 50mm skip distance only , and probe scanning speed 150mm/sec only you are doing too fast . So please be careful about scanning .
