I so deeply appreciate what Michael Sarnoski, Nicolas Cage and the entire crew did with Pig. It is such a beautiful film. It really makes the audience feel and that is cinema at its purest form.
I woke up the morning after seeing the film feeling sad. I was mourning the loss of a pet pig that I had just met. Mr. Sarnoski is keeping cinema alive and for that I truly thank him. I can't wait to see his future projects.
Cage can really do anything. This film was way better than I anticipated. Good job!
Really like Sarnoski, and his "who has my pig?" shirt.
Still can’t forget the restaurant scene
This movie might look boring but it’s anything BUT. So much feeling with so little words.
I desperately wanted this CZcams video to include an explanation of the dang fight club scene for real
Robin submitting to a beat down was part of his ritualistic journey to make amends for his long-ago trespass. What was his trespass? I didn't realize what it was until I heard Cassandra Violet's childlike rendition of "I'm on Fire" at the very end of the movie. "Pig" was the first time I'd ever heard "I'm On Fire," so I had no previous associations with it, and that's why it illuminated Robin's story for me like a dazzling flash of lightning. Or as an Emily Dickinson poem puts it: "Like lightning to the children eased with explanation kind/ The truth must dazzle gradually, or every man be blind."
When you realize thar the names of the restaurants in the film are references to Greek Mythology you can see the "inspiration" or "adaptation" of the story of Orpheus and Eurydice, the fight scene is like Orpheus being killed by the Thracians to enter Hades.
Incredible filmmaking
Awesome insight and BTS video! About to shoot my first feature, this was motivating. thnk u!
Che esta re buena esta entrevista, no entiendo como no es más conocida
I dunno...I kinda gave up on watching Nicholas Cage movies anymore, but this one looks interesting and scored pretty good.
Nic Cage doing very interesting movies in the last few years
it's not for everyone, but I thought it was one of the best films I've seen in a while. amazing debut feature from the director too
I loved this movie. But be warned: It expects intelligence from its audience.
This film is excellent. You won't be disappointed. It's award worthy.
This is one of his best acted movies of his career. I loved MANDY too but that movie is almost the exact OPPOSITE of this one, borderline crazy.
Great video. Thank you for PIG. I don't know what that woman is talking about @ 7:36. She must not have seen the film to claim its mostly an all male cast when the pig is female.
Terrible.
