  • Here is Carl Jones (mandolin) and Erynn Marshall (guitar) playing Mississippi Sawyer in the Key of D. Inspired by the fiddling of Smith McInnis from Raeford, Hoke County North Carolina. He had some nice variations on this popular tune. He was featured at a Raleigh North Carolina fiddler's convention several years ago. Always a popular tune and fun to play, a recap of a concert window mandolin workshop.

Thanks folks. I like the 2 octave melody. I have tabs for this tune in a book somewhere, but this version I need to learn. It's a good jam tune with a clawhammer banjo and guitar and bass for the bottom rhythm. Thanks Bob
