Who am I?
Expert singing teacher, specialising in teaching children and young adults in singing and musical theatre. She has worked with the likes of The Saturdays for MTV, on shows such as Just the Two of Us for the BBC and many more. Throughout her years of teaching she has judged in many competitions, judging Lucy Spraggan, George Samson, amongst others who have gone onto succeed in the business.

In my personal openion, Mariah is the best vocalist in the business, but I have to acknowledge that there other excellent vocalists as well such as Celine, Christina, Lady Gaga & Toni Braxton.
This woman is supernatural! Did you guys hear those riffs, the lightning fast run at the end?! She gave us belts, low bass notes, melisma, agility, whistles!!?!? I don’t think there is a single voice in the history of mainstream music that even comes close to Mariah’s flawless technique and musicality. BRAVO!
I feel like Whitney is the only one that can compete. There are no other voices like those 2.
@@quentincarey Whitney has only power in mid belts as a superiority. And I will prefer a gentle angelic voice over a powerful voice anyday. Moreover, I can't even connect with Whitney's music much, because she cannot write her lyrics.

On “Vision of Love” she seemed to avoid vibrato in belted notes by cutting them short into runs, but it was still the best I’ve heard her sing live in years. Quarantine rest has been good for her pipes!
Weird though bc she could do the vibratos really well on Close My Eyes, even though that's falsetto, maybe it's easier in that register for her

Not to mentions she got her nodules removed during quarantine cause she never had time to remove them from tours and after surgery, you need rest, so quarantine was the perfect time for her. Thats why she never sang live for quarantine

She definitely sounded very confident here. So she was more willing to sing a little more free and not worry about the notes
I remember the first time I heard her sing ever. It was in the Arsenio Hall Show. She sang Vision Of Love. I was 19 or 20. I was so mesmerized by her and her voice that I literally didn’t sleep that night. Now her voice has been the soundtrack of my life. A marriage with 2 kids, a second marriage & the kids all grown up now. The years flew by but her talent has remained. Love her forever!!🙏🏽❤️

She did a snippet in The Netherlands last year on her Caution Tour. It was her reaction to a fan's sign. It was the first time I ever heard that live! I was shookETH then and today 😍 This is one of my own llifesavers.... And for alot of us. One of her deepest and personal. Yes please look up the lyrics. Again... lifesaver. In my opinion that’s the best Vision of Love performance since 1997. This is DEFINITELY her 3rd prime and I’m loving every second of it! 😁
Tbh, some of her best VOL performances were from 2003 and 2005. This VOL performance is definitely better than most VOL performances from 2006 and upwards.

It's the first time since 2006 during the Adventures of Mimi tour that she sings Vision of love with a whistle. Vision of Love is one of the songs she has never lip synced, it's a legacy song for her career and she brings it to performances on TV only when people need a reminder she is still a master vocalist, when she was about to release The Emancipation of Mimi at the Bet blueprint (best live of that song), right after New Years Eve debacle and right now. The second song is named "Close my eyes" it's from her album Butterfly, it's one of her top 3 favorite songs next to "Underneath the Stars" (Daydream) and "The Roof" (Butterfly). Critics said that Close my eyes was one of her most interesting songs up to that point, different musical arrangement, honest lyrics full of metaphors, it's basically sung in falsetto most of it however she has changed it sometimes like on the Rosie O'Donnell show she performed in a fuller tone shows how versatile the song can be, the arrangement is very unique, the climax is sort of modest however you can feel is a climax and the lyrics are very personal. She used to cry a lot when performing it in the Butterfly tour. She skipped a whole part in here where she sings "Funny how one can learn to grow numb to the madness and block it away, I left the worse unsaid, let it all dissipate and I try to forget" and the original song does not have a whistle. What she sings and you didn't understand is "Orange clouds roll by, they burn into your image and you're still alive".
