I just found your videos, and now I cannot remember which was the first one I found of your family. I have a lot of very strong mixed emotions watching your vlogs/content. I will be 48 this fall, have always dreamed of having a family, and alas it will not be possible in this life. My late husband passed almost a year ago from pancreatic cancer. It is very hard to see someone you decay and leave this world you love, and are very hurt and betrayed by. I suffered betrayal trauma two years before he passed, and stayed because he wanted to reconcile and I am one who can't leave anything on the table in terms of what more can be done. I cannot imagine going through what I have with kids, and yet I have always wanted a family. Watching you with your kids I can tell you had a safe childhood and are passing that on to them. It is a joy to see, especially to see your joy in your kids' joy and learning. My memories are always walking on eggs shells and trying to keep mom happy. I try to put all my unkowns on my Savior's alter and know I will have my chance to have a family. For now I choose to have faith that all things can be for my experience and through my Savior for my turned for good. I know acceptance doesn't take the pain away, and I hope that perhaps since my chances of having kids have been hedged up, that maybe I am able to break the maladaptive cycles in my family. I get great joy and deep painful longing watching your family. I am learning that it is healthy to have strong, even opposing, emotions all at once. I embrace it now. It is also a joy to see a couple who can trust and rely on one another as partners, and grow through all things. I do not believe in the static and plastic "perfection ideals" and love that you try to keep it real. Perfection in the world's sense is an illusion. I love seeing you Ashley learning to let things unfold even if they don't turn out as hoped or envisioned. I love to see Dallin be so supportive and involved in all things. That's one thing I loved about my dad.He pitched in everywhere I had no idea there were illusions of male/female roles until I got married the first time. It's all about teamwork. Keep on keepin' on!

How we transitioned our little one from the pacifier was sending her off to her grandparents house around 1.5yo. Lol they kept her so busy that she didn’t have much time to think about it, she did ask for it at night/nap time but they never gave in. The different environment helped too.
Her teeth went back to normal very quickly as well.
I miss you guys . Violet is growing so much.

We did the same the 3rd year of our last. Her bday was in Sept. We started potty training, plus the "beep beep" became a Christmas tree ornament that year. We had to hide it because she saw it Christmas morning and wanted it, even though she hadn't had it for a while. Then she was fine the next Christmas and loved hanging it herself.
