That man saved my life by helping me get into a routine and walks. Thank you DJ, for being there for me when I hit rock bottom.
You're a warrior of your own life. Wake up everyday and continue the fight. You got this brother
@@BurnerTurner Thank you brother

Keep grinding every F’n day! 💪
I can listen to this man talk for HOURS. Feels like listening to an actual human instead of some influential media personality. Thanks for sharing this.
Listen to his interview with Shawn Ryan. It literally beats any action movie you will ever see.
@@markwhite6782 i have, several times, on youtube and spotify. that’s how i got introduced to DJ and many other SOF guys sharing their incredible stories.
what you need to do is get a life
@@markwhite6782 I guess it pleased you fan boy? more stuff for you to dream about when playing with your xbox
@@deathlarsen7502 Only a coward criticizes on-line. Love to meet you in person when your out of your moms basement.
DJ is an American hero. I’m glad he’s still here, he has a lot of important things to say. God bless him.
Don’t forget deadbeat father . He cheats on his dead seal “brothers” widow and gets the chick pregnant and abandons the kid when his wife finds out . Real role model
@@JoeRogansForehead don't forget a back stabber and a straight up racist snake as well
@@JoeRogansForehead Hey friend, so what it is, are war widows off limits forever? Shit happens brother, shit happens! Now, there was a lot of bunk information flowing around the community, including Don Sr. and momma trashing Patsy Shipley (Dietz) Here's the thing brother. Not sure if you are in the community or not. But shit is tough especially in Ship's world. Is he the first cat to cheat on his wife? No! Is he the first SEAL to cheat and go back to his wife. Whatever is going on, it doesn't help anyone for you or other cats to throw shit out there that we no very little about. Ship got himself into a shit sandwich, and it has splintered relationships with his own folks, as well as his wife as well as his child and former side-chick.
Lastly friend, nobody aspires to be a role model. It just happens. He's a role model for taking it to the tip of the spear, not Hubby of the year
I’m thinking that you taught him .
Really? Explain exactly how that is? You need to read the other comment.i just left. If you want to see whst destriyed this country. Look in the mirror.
I’ve listened to a lot of SEAL’s. This guy is on a whole different level with his depth and authenticity
Same with the new-breed SAS over here in UK. Self-advertising special forces troopers sicken me. "Look at me" : "Buy my books". FA "Special" about behaving like that. Rant over.
I agree. His dad was a SEAL, he grew up in the teams and had a long career in the teams. I’m glad he’s humble and down to earth. My stepdad was special forces for 20 years and he hardly talks about himself and he always praises my service. Love guys like that, I try to do the same.
@@KernowekTimtim, anyone who has operational experience may find it difficult to find gainful employment after officially returning to a civilian life and there isn't anything easy about the transition from government employment to civilian. I understand you never fought i got that part about you but for some making the change isn't easy so some resort to a Hollywood approach to life when they get out. I personally see no reason whatsoever to do that because im happy with life but for you to vent questions your real motivations. Are you a boy who wanted to be a warrior and never had the strength or mental health to achieve such a goal or do you just like talking about your feelings? I can hold your hand and walk you across the street if it makes you feel safe timmy? Hey calm down no one is out to get you so no need for the emotionally charged rant.
I’m pretty sure he wasn’t just a navy seal, he was also a part of Dev Gru the tier one aspect of that branch
I was on dialysis for 8 years, and nurses wanted to keep pushing me to do dialysis treatments at home. I always declined that option. I wanted to do my treatments at the clinic with other hemodialysis patients just like me. Human contact helped me push forward; the conversations and hearing someone else’s story helped me every day. Talking to someone face-to-face was the best prescription for me.
I received my third kidney Transplant on April 8 2023.
As DJ talks about what goes through his mind as he prepares for a mission was so brutally honest. How many of us are capable of that kind of mindset? Few.
Damn really? Everything he’s talking about makes sense to me.
Bahahaaaa
D.J. comes across as a very humble but committed warrior. No ego, no bravado, no social media hyped "influencer" trying to sell something.....just a man that has walked the walk. True leadership in my opinion.
you've got those two points absolutely backwards. The guy is a total pos and has pimped his trident every step of the way out of Dam Neck where he isn't even welcome anymore
I'm 50 and haven't worked out in 24 years. I'm tired of being a dad bodied old guy! Thanks man, I am getting off my fat ass, whip my acreage into shape and will be in shape myself before 51.
47 here. I’m doing the same.
Sorry for the unsolicited feedback but tracking my workouts with a smart watch helps me.
I’m waking up at 5:00am and getting at least 30 minutes in.
And there is plenty of inexpensive home gym equipment on Amazon.
@@BetaBuxDelux I'm looking for a weight bench and other stuff on Facebook. Then I'm dumping Facebook again

U can be like 90 percent of dudes these days and get on TRT what I keep seeing everyone says it's like a miracle drug
Shout-out to the Regular Military, and the ones that we don't seem to listen to because they're not a part of the Special Operations. Truck drivers regular infantry artillery, etc... I served in Kuwait Iraq and Afghanistan RIP BROWN
Thank you boss for your service and for this well deserved shout out for all the regular military out there that makes things happen!!!
@aw412 thanks brother! 💯✊🏻
Bro. Thanks for saying this. I love hearing all these stories but man us regular infantry guys have mountains of stories no one wants to hear because we weren’t “spec ops.” I spent years of my life over there, walking around villages 12 hours a day, raids at night, getting blown up by IEDs or mortars a couple times a week. We never had a day off and spent 12 months at a time over there. But, no one seems to give a shit unless you’re a SEAL or Delta.
@@LP3memaybe you have but if you haven’t, try and put some work into telling your stories…if not for you, then for those that didn’t come home. I guarantee people want to hear the stories. You need to figure out how to tell them and do it in a manner that makes the audience come back for more.
Been working at a truck stop since December to save $ to finish my college degree out & a LOT of veterans are truck drivers, talked to more veterans in the last 6 months than I have my entire life. 101st airborne guy recently had a 45 min convo w & a lifelong army guy who was telling me ab the iraq war & crossing the saddam line, we talked for ab 1.5 hours, vets are some of the best ppl to talk to. & shame on my company petro / TA for not having a military/veteran discount. “Travel centers of America” you don’t even have a veterans discount? Disgraceful
As a military wife, as well as military sister. This put so much into perspective. Thank you very much. I am from Iraq but married an American. My older brother was an Iraqi commando who served with men like this and my husband. I just went to my younger brother’s graduation in Coronado, California who will be in a similar life. Nothing makes you invincible but effort can make you prepared.
WOW
How was Iraq like?
Hope you know he also cheated on his wife with multiple women for years, had an illegitimate child, and rejected his dad from contacting him again (after he called DJ basically a dead beat dad).
Awesome!
@@GardenGuy1943There are always more than one side to a story. You have no idea what he went through, no idea how explosions mess with your brain and all the other stuff. You literally can become a different person your brain is hurt and trying to heal. It can really mess with you.
@@GardenGuy1943 he admitted all of this already on shawn ryan show
A) Glad you made it home.
B) Thank you for being in this video. It will and has helped many.
C) Like a lot of people who have watched your mom and dad's parodies, I hope you inherited some of their sense if humor.
DJ is probably my favorite one of these operators who is now talking about their time served and their way of life. He’s humble and calm, but you can tell at any moment, he could take on a whole group of people.
Agreed
Easily, DJ is the real deal. Him and Cole Fackler. Straight up tip of the spear, these 2 are the only 2 i really take seriously.
@@easbreid9879 don’t think I’ve come across Cole yet but I’ll give him a gander per your statement 🤘🏽
@@zrl1017 GBRS
DJ is a piece of shit father and his dad called him out on it publicly and they’ve since never seen eye to eye. So Take what ever Dj says with a grain of salt on Don.
To add some context; DJ married Patty Dietz (Danny Dietz, the that was killed in OPRW) only a few months after Danny had died. While going on deployments DJ had cheated on her with loads of different women. He made a alternate Instagram page that he hid from his teammates and her to message them on. She eventually found out and while going through the messages, she found that he had gotten one of them pregnant.
DJ being a shitbag that he is, completely left the mother and the kid hanging. No calls, no visits, nothing. This pissed DJ’s dad off and he called him out on it.
Don and Diane Shipley are raising that kid themselves to this day.
He is a trash bag! If he is your Favorit Ewwwww!
FROG Brit here. I much prefer this man's attitude and persona to the former SAS trooper Ant Middleton's brash, macho, in-your-face, "hard-eyed", narcissistic type. It's the quiet spoken ones that have nothing to prove and no-one to impress. The quiet ones are the absolute 'Real Deal'. The old-school SAS were quiet, unassuming men. I know this thing. Silence is Golden. God bless you man and keep after you always.. From Cornwall UK.
I'm sure he'd smile.
Yet you’ve just told everyone you’re a frog!..
🇬🇧 here in 🇺🇸… agreed!!!!
Ant = SBS not SAS
Beware the soft spoken man with cauliflower ear and the stare.
PTSD is the "I'm fine" jail we put ourselves in and can't be breached without saying help me

Didn’t think I could respect DJ more than I already do. I was wrong. Very impressive.
In Marine Corps I had just turned 17 . I was too young for the Seals and OCS. So I excelled in the III MAF, 3rd MAF.

This one goes into my books.
What a man and a human being. I'm glad for technology to be able to hear what he has experienced and has to say.Semper Fi.
Second podcast I have seen with DJ Shipley. He is one intense honest individual. It takes a big personality to dig this deep. The Shawn Ryan interview was intense as well.

I was on my way to the gym when this video popped up. Those words were my gasoline.....
He not only realized a mental awareness of himself he has the rare clarity to understand how some others are thinking and putting out words of wisdom to help. Thx DJ❤
Thank you DJ. Enough said.
Once more I'll say that DJ is the definition of a man speaking from his heart, definitely a pro on this one too. Thanks!

Thank you for this video. watched it the whole way through! Awesome production, great guest. He’s an awesome story teller and you can tell he’s deep thinker.
This is one of the few men who DESERVE this! DJ Shipley and his father are two of some of the greatest examples of the American soldier. Great job!
this documentary is cold blooded. good shit. its nice to see well produced documentaries on everyday people and not just sports, that can share their story to inspire. I coudnt imagine being a SEAL at 19. I was drinking 40s at the mall and playing Tony hawk when some of these photos were taken.
Man bro I thought I was the only one that feels and thinks the way I do about all the horrible shit going on in our schools, stores and Government! It's nice to you and other people feel just like me! God bless you and your family. Thanks for all your doing!
This guys description of his reality is impeccable. I felt like I was there with him! You’re the man bro!!!
DJ Shipley's journey is nothing short of extraordinary, and hearing him share his experiences on this documentary is incredibly inspiring. His story from SEAL Team Six is a testament to resilience and dedication in modern warfare. I remember reading about his exploits and being in awe of his bravery and skill. This podcast promises to be a compelling exploration of leadership, courage, and the relentless pursuit of excellence in the face of adversity.
Thank you for serving!
DJ… Thank you brother!! You inspire me to be a better Man, Husband, Father. I was diagnosed with asthma at a young age, and was declined from Military service. Iv always felt that it was my purpose on this earth, to go and fight, but was never allowed to,because of the asthma. I struggled many years trying to find my place and purpose, so I’ve played football my whole life, and understand what it means when we say Team, it’s not just about I. Iv always looked for the comradery I experienced with football, and joining the military was what I needed, and was never allowed to join. So there are those of us that were never allowed to join, and had to suffer trying to find our way. Again thank you brother for everything you have givin this Country. I’m also sober now, but I’m missing warriors like yourself in my life, I need to be surrounded by people like you and don’t know where I can find them, I’m in Indiana
Listening to these extraordinary people describing how they got to where they have been and the opposition to get there is very inspiring for a normal guy
What a great interview. Very honest, very real, not gung ho or BS. So many great messages to take away. Many thanks
Truly inspiring. Are you more afraid of change or staying the same. What are you going to do? Whatever it takes. Love that!
Huge Fan of DJ and his Father!!!💪🏾👊🏾

DJ's story is absolutely incredible, motivating and inspiring. I have such respect for this man.
