This video covers my 1990 Honda Civic Si survivor; when was the last time you saw one in this condition, without a bunch of terrible modifications? #efcivic #civicsi #efhatch
Had an '89 Si. One of the favorite cars I've owned. If you live near winding roads, or if you do track days, it's a brilliant car. And you can drive it hard without going to jail.
They drive brilliantly. Visibility, low weight, nice engine, nice shifter, great ergos, etc. And more forgiving than a rear engined sports car with a tendency for snap oversteer :P
I just picked one up at $500 bucks, clean title and all original everything except for my wheels. (LS mesh) I’m so anxious to build it starting this week!! Sucks that mine isn’t an SI
Hey man! I know this video is a little old but it makes me so happy seeing another EF like mine, thing is in pristine condition. Really does make my heart warm seeing more of these such well preserved EFs especially when they have an owner that loves and takes such good care of it. Hope u keep it 😂Good luck man🙏🏼
Thats so clean wow. Ive been slowly rebuilding my b20 swapped ef hatch over the past two years trying to make it like that. Love seeing this clean of an EF on the road still
Hey Man, congratulations on your new rig. I'm 48 now and bought my first new car, a black 90 Civic Si 5 speed manual when I was 18 years old. I still have it which was never winter driven and is in mint condition 44000 km, which was not my daily driver. One thing to mention, the 4th gen Si originally had dual exhaust tips. All other trims had the single exhaust tip. My car is mostly unmolested except a cold air intake, 17inch rims and I had a push button starter installed which only works with the original key in the ignition. I live in Canada so the Canadian version of the car has some minor variants. I don't have the seatbelt on the door nor do I have that warning light mounted to the rearview mirror. If you would like to see pictures and chat about our cars through e-mail or WhatsApp it would be my pleasure as there aren't too many of our vehicles around clean or close to stock condition. Let me know...
I've tried and failed to find an OEM exhaust, so I think I might pick up an HKS exhaust since it has a twin tip outlet similar to the original muffler. I'll hit you up this spring, right now I'm pretty focused on snowmobile projects :)
I want to see more people doing MORE to EF Hatchbacks. I have one in excellent condition garage kept and plan to one day work on it. Ended up getting it from a friend that passed away so I keep it in the garage for now. Someday hopefully get something going with it. Looks just like this one honestly. :)
I has close to this find a few years ago but it was the STD model. Got it for 250 with a dead cylinder. Built it for years now and im sure it will never be done. Cant wait for the build
Crazy I found your channel, I’m pretty sure that was my car. Sold it in 2017 in Southeast Wisconsin! I put the suspension on, Crx si wheels, radius arm bushings, different hood actually. Never did get around to the axle back exhaust… haha glad it ended up in your hands
Sound deadener on the inner doors and along the floor (car audio style deadener) makes a HUGE difference in these cars. Even at 25% coverage, it'll transform the tinny sound.
@@ADDvanced Having now owned/driven regularly something like 6 or 7 early 90's-mid-2000's Honda, it's a must for me. If you happen to take your headliner out, that's an amazing improvement there as well. Any of the bigger flat surfaces that don't have direct bracing on them hit with at least 25% coverage and WOW, like it's a different car.
@@ChrisMeirose The roof on this one is all .... messed up, when the original owner parked it, it was used to store boxes on it, so the roof is all mangled. Need to see what paintless dent removal can do, so the headliner is coming out for sure. Also it has some tears, so... yeah, going to find a new one.
Awesome new project! Pristine condition and looks like alot of fun to work on. Congrats and look forward to seeing what you can do with it! (But don't give up on the 911 - those of us still working on our own still diggin' your work!).
@@ADDvanced I’ve been looking for an SI for YEARS! lol you just can’t find one at all, I’ve got 2 crx si’s that are in pretty good shape, had a RT4WD wagon I had to let go of recently /: and my lastest pick up was a 90 4 speed std hatch that I’ve converted basically to an SI. Keep up the good work man love seeing these guys get some love.
@@Tycrx89 Me too! I've had 3g accord, 3g prelude si 4ws, EF sedan, and I picked up an 86 Si a few years ago that I basically never drive but it's pretty nice, but ultimately the EF is just a better car. I love driving this car and some people might think it's just a cheap old honda but I love this more than most things made today.
@@ADDvanced I can’t wait how it will look when it’s all the way you want it to be. I’ll be watching for sure. Let me know if you let it go. I really am interested in it. Like I said I had 2 of them. Great cars to drive. These are classics.
I love these cars. Just so simple but non-offensive styling wise. If you compare this to modern shitbuckets it's not even a contest. The modern cars like the Mirage look horrendous. Proportions are totally off, they look like whales with wheels.
I wish I could drive this year round. Really believe it's one of the all time best cars; the visibility and handling are incredible, the interior is great, the shifter is awesome, only thing that isn't perfect is the engine, but that can be swapped.
@@ADDvanced Exactly. It's a shame that these are getting so old and hard to find nowadays. I don't think there are any modern cars that even come close to the old civics. Even the new ones are a bit too premium instead of just being a solid basic car that can also be modified and look great.
Maybe at some point, actually doing an alignment on it right now, have to drive 2 hours with it tomorrow. It has some flaws and I wish the AC worked but man I love driving this thing
Hey ADDvanced, here almost heading to college and wondering if this would be a good first car to zoom around in? Ive found a cheap one with minor mechanical issues and im loving to think about it! What do you think of this car for being a first car?
Hey ef guys and gals i have a 1990 civic hatch and im really trying to get the trunk floor cover ? Or if anyone made one ? They are really hard to find and will be much appreciated to find one thanks, gotta keep the efs alive
Back in the late 90's early 2000's that was our ideal high school race car. Now that we are older we appreciate it in its original glory ten fold!
I actually hated Hondas in HS, lol. Then I bought a cheap one as a daily. The suspension and build quality is awesome!

Still have it! Check out the playlist I have on it, I fixed the rear bumper, and restored a set of crazy rare wheels for it. Love this thing!

It's blowing my mind. The last time I saw one like this was probably in the mid 2000s.
Man shes super clean,2 thumbs up👍👍💯
It's so clean I got 🍆 up, too! Can't wait to drive this once the salt is gone!

I got one exactly like this, its like I'm looking at my own car. This car was also on my bucket list, been my dream car since high school. Great vid👍🏽
Awesome! I love them! People who hate on them have never driven them before. They're not fast, they are FUN.

I’d love to buy one someday. It’s the first car I fell in love with during my childhood
Best time to buy one was 10 years ago, followed by 9 years ago, then 8, then 7, etc. Prices only goin up! Get one now! :D
Really clean like mine
The best!
Awesome!
Thanks! Loving this car!
Awesome man. Building mine this summer
What is the plan?
Dream first car
Good ..car.. condicion 👍👍🇲🇾awersom...
The Canadian version thankfully didn't come with that seatbelt set up.
I don't even notice it anymore. Just unbuckle and rebuckle like a normal car.
Ooh ooh uuuh oooh
Wish I could find something like this local to me. What did you pay for it?
Under 5k, but above 3k. :P
Would you sell it? I would be interested. I love this car had a red and a black one. Always fun to drive.
Idk yet, I've only driven it one time. Definitely want to make this a lot nicer this summer, then might be for sale.

A bit under 2 hours away, south of Milwaukee

2k for a rust bucket and 5-15k for a cleaner one
