Become A Scouting Expert on FIFA Career Mode!

- I’ve talked about scouting a lot in the past, but I realised ive never actually gone in depth on where to scout, what to look for, how to do it, you know, the most important parts of scouting a new player. If you want to know more about youth scouting, check the video in the card at the top left, but today we’re looking at fully grown players who are playing for actual clubs in the game.
So scouting, what's the point? Not only is it the easiest way to find players that fit your tactics, but also it can be an easy way of adding some realism to FIFA. Scout instructions are a big part of that, so let's first have a look at what they mean.
The majority of the time, you’ll want to have First Team Quality selected, or you’ll be getting scouts recommending Jamie Vardy while your club is playing in League Two. The rest are pretty easy to understand, Tall brings back tall players, Pacey brings back fast players and Aerial Threat looks for Jumping and Heading Accuracy. The instructions are 100% something you should look at on day one of starting your save, first set up a tactic, and write down which type of player you want in each position.
With the 6 slots, you can easily cover the majority of the squad. Let's say you play a 4-4-2 formation, use one for the attackers, one for the wingers, one for the centre mids, one for the full backs, one for the centre backs, and the final one to look for goalkeepers, or for a different type of player in one of the other positions.
Unlike with youth scouting, I don't feel like having the best scouts makes you super over powered in career mode. Judgement and Experience still work the same way, Judgment finds players who fit the instructions better you set and also scouts players faster, while Experience finds more players in general, so you can fill up your reports list pretty quickly.
If you're still worried this will make things easy, you can easily restrict yourself to only using scouts with a lower star rating than your team. For example, if you’re manager of a 2 star team, keep your scouts at 1 star. If you improve and get the squad up to 3 stars, improve your scouts to 2 stars. This will definitely slow your progression down, which i know is something a lot of FIFA players enjoy doing.
So now you know what kind of players the scouts are trying to find, you also know how good your scouts are at following orders, where should you be sending them to find that ideal player?
Again, unlike the youth scouting, there isn't a predefined best place to send your scout. You’ll need to have a small amount of real world knowledge to send scouts to where they can find the player you want. With a maximum of 6 scouts, you can easily look at 6 different nations which have different types of players.
Knowing that the MLS has really over rated physical stats can find you that box to box mid you need, while also having a realistically low overall to fit in a championship team. Knowing that Italy produces tall and strong centre backs can find the anchor to your entire team. Knowing that Argentina produces small but agile wingers can find the player you need to win you games.
Where you send your scouts depends on who you want, but also the ability of the league. Theres almost no point a Premier League side sending a scout to Australia, but a League Two side could find some cheap bargains down under. Likewise theres no point a League Two side scouting the Netherlands, with there being no second division the majority of the players will be too expensive.
Lets fast forward a few months and have a look at some scouted players. A good time to look at the scout reports is around one month before a transfer window, because this gives you time to fully scout the most interesting looking players.
From partial scouting, we get a small look at the players stats. Usually a range of around 10 pts in the 6 categories, this information can be used with other aspects like height, value, age and wage to decide which players are worth scouting further. Depending on the star rating of your scout, you can fully scout between 5 and 15 players in one nation at a time, so this can be quite limited.

Can you do a video on the finance side of the game (transfer fee profits, release clauses, weekly wages, contract lengths, loans). I just got sacked from a team (A-League) even though I won 3 league titles in a row, raised the budget and raised the team average by 6 points! I was livid. But I think I either had weekly wages too high or didn't make the profit objective. Which is stupid because I certainly did but the progress bar for this objective never moved when I sold players!
Bizarrely two of the best ive ever had started as a 47 and 48 overall, their both now 85 and 83 rated on my Brisbane Roar save, both are still only 20, ones an Ivorian winger, Modeste Diaby (85 overall and worth £95m) and ones a Canadian striker Jimmy Stewart(83) ive got a few decent player from various places, like a centre back Adrian Morley from Australia (76) potential to be special and still only 19

Maybe a video on players like Sadio Berahino and others who didn’t live up to their potential, players you can give another chance for a lower league club.

is it always good to scout defensive players? just cause how many good attacking options u get to buy each year and good regens too mostly are of attackers only.
Im looking for players to play midfield on the sides and up the pitch to help the cm/cdms and lb/rb or to help strikers/cf to score goals. Do you have an idea of where to look by chance? Hope this made sense.

Six scouts sent to every country in a season with their only set instructions being to find players with 0-1 year left on contract. Players found that meet that criteria >20, those found and suggested outside that criteria
On the second season on Fifa23 ,the scouts are not giving any reports, I choose them to scout the players, but they don't come with players scouted, any help please?

I will never get how these scouts work. I have sent 6 scouts to 6 different countries and they all bring me back the exact same players.
Are the 6 scout instruction boxes for each scouts(at the same box position)? Or do each scouts find players that fit any of the instructions?

I've done this before by scouting for 'Full-backs' and then adding 'Attack Minded' on the attributes - most of the players you get will be wing backs🙂
new to fifa. Everytime i shoot the ball, it flies way above. Can't seem to figure it out and no youtube videos focus on super basic.
Anyone know how to fix the scouting glitch that happens after a few seasons? Scouts don't find any players and you get a message that you haven't set up any instructions.
Probably happens when you put a lot or complex introductions for them to find and theirs is probably not much players with thoses instructions so they can’t find anyone
@@fifafuty1195 that's not it unfortunately. Even the simplest instructions don't work after a while. I've even tried deleting all instructions and just putting one simple one and nothing comes through. It's a glitch that others have experienced as well

how to become a scouting expert is simple , save your game one day before scout report and refresh the save until you get amazing youth player😄
Can It guarantee that 10 time refresh would bring us at least one player who has 90 potential above?
