Makes the concept of Peach being replaced by Toadette more frightening either because the Toads would find her a better replacement, or because if Toadette becomes Princess she’ll just become worse with power abuse.
On a side note I like the idea of Peach ascending to take Queenly responsibility while Toadette becomes princess.
Since MKDS was my first video game in general, I mistook Daisy as the original queenly figure… because back then I barely knew her!!! I feel like a jester for not doing any research!

Kinda funny how matpat has flipped our views on the 2 kingdoms, I now realize that bowser is altogether a better and more caring ruler, would it be better if he *did* take over peachs kingdom?
I know this is old, but, if Bowser did take over Peach's kingdom, he would definitely be a better ruler.
As we see in another of Matpat's theory, Peach is actually a queen of a mushroom infection that kicked the gumbas (?) out of their kingdom.
That's right, Peach's kingdom was actually the Gumbas' (?).
Anyway! By taking over "Peach's" kingdom, Bowser is helping the Gumbas (?) get their kingdom back, while also giving his children a mother (and a full family) he didn't get himself.
I cannot link the video, but search it up and you'll understand more.
TL;DR - Bowser would, yes, make a better ruler then Peach, since she is a thief of kingdoms. She'd also make a mother for Bowser's children because he didn't get a family himself.

Yeah, but Peach's entire purpose in that game was to undo that curse. That's why Bowser kidnaps her.
Plus, not all of the bricks in that game are Toads. The instruction booklet clearly states that when you find a transformed toad, they reward you with a power-up.

That actually makes a lot of sense. If all the labour of mining for brick materials can be reduced to just getting one guy to conjure bricks, the cost of bricks would be way less.

One thing you need to know is that even though gold is cheap, you have to think about how much people actually have it. They may be unwilling to go get gold for themselves because the only way Mario gets them is by adventuring with his life on his line. The way to get it and the risk of getting the gold coin may increase the price.

Problem with that theory is that no work is done until mario provides the funds. If they had most of the money and stuff you'd think they'd do what they could on their own.
@Danemr Reschke Not really, there are a notable amount of things in construction that need to be fully done within a certain timeframe or that show it when it was done by different people or at different moments
Technically true, though for matters like the stained glass window, I'm not sure if they already had a part of the funds for it. I haven't played the game myself, so correct me if I'm wrong there. If they didn't already have any funds for the stained glass window, then the comparison of real world money to coins would still be more or less accurate. Even if some things in the game that you pay for, like the foundation, still had what were NEARLY the appropriate funds, it certainly doesn't discredit the fact that the toad workers are treated horribly, with negligence and incompetent leadership. Anywho. That's just my two coins on the matter.

I think Peach had nothing to do with this, likely in captivity by Bowser at the moment, and as soon as she was gone, Toadette ruined everything for her own personal greed.

@@evacesartcorner9840 he was in both the ui's for the making levels part of super Mario maker and super Mario maker 2. You press the dog to undo something you made. Basically the most thing you'll use. Lol. Also the rocket is a button that if you hold for 5 seconds will completely reset and wipe the whole level to start over. It's a nice reference to all those people who make levels rather than play

My guess would be that not just gold has a different cost, but also other building materials. It could still be the cheapest materials, and they are still probably underpaid, but to a bit less of the extent (at least for the cheapest materials part)
