- After an enforced lengthy break from angling due to a broken hand, Scott returns to Dinton Pastures in the hope of starting the year off with a bang. The lake had done very limited bites throughout the winter, so he had his work cut out for him!

I had the same thing Thursday just gone, fishing inbetween 2 weed beds on a 7.5ft zig and snapped just before the knot, was obvious it was a good fish, brought back 7 foot of zig line, one thing i have learnt is just to up that zig link when fishing any weedy waters the fish know what there doing 1000%, there can be mussles or anythink is the weed

Great vlog as usual, not done much zig fishing myself but looking to use them in the future so is there any particular reason you use a curve shank hook rather than a wide gape ?
Hi Paul,
Scott was using our Curve Point hooks, which are a wide gaped style hook. These tend to be the best hooks for getting secure hook holds on zigs.

If it wernt for the zigs and light hooklinks he probs wouldn’t of got the bite anyway! He ain’t gonna sit behind motionless rods for 3 days cos there’s abit of weed and you don’t want him to zig 🤣 .... great angler !
