Watching you mike, brings back memories of when we use to dive the dumpsters in the trailer parks for aluminum. We’d use the cash for gas just to get out of the park.

The Gravograph things are for engraving/cutting machines you may get $20 each for them.

There are different styles of the engraving stylist. Some only engrave plastic, others are made for brass/aluminum and then some are for ss steel. New they cost between 20 to 30 bucks.

J.C. Superstar is a good movie and have to cd and the dvd.That curved monitor voltage is the same as some hp laptops. Power supply should be around $7 - 15.

You create the best ad hoc scripts, Mike. Always entertaining commentaries! I never knew about Cat Wire until I started watching you two weeks ago. Now, the first thing I look for, is Cat Wire when you open the dumpster, climb up the big dumpster trailer. 😆😆😆
Looks like something hit it, says the guy who has been tossing metal so wildly that it misses the truck entirely! Surprise! 🤣 Good haul of wire- some of the new stuff should be saleable?
You left behind some of the crane webbing you were calling "tow straps", those things are $10-15 a piece used when you can find them for the 1", new they're $25-$50 and the 2"-3" you got are worth much much more. The wider and longer they are the more they're worth. Bigger companies like utility companies and state agencies, military etc. have to throw them away if they get so much as a nick in them or show any wear. Smaller construction companies who aren't under the same scrutiny use the used ones all day every day and are always on the hunt for them. They have to have the orange sewed in label though which those had.

Great haul tonight, the peach milkshake sounded great. When I was way younger our family restaurant would get peach ice cream when it was peach season up in Georgia, I couldn't wait to open it up. I was afraid you might order the (lemon Kale salad) LOL.

Love the videos, My buddy Mike built a very nice house from dumpster diving junk steal, etc.
hard work and not very glamorous but it pays the bills and helps the environment .
I remember people staring when I went with him a few times dumpster diving.
they had no clue , thought we were homeless people looking for food but what we had was huge plates 120 pounds plus each of clean stainless steel and massive clean aluminum plates that someone threw away .
we cashed in that day over 800 bucks in Aluminum alone. I appreciate the work you do , its not only a living that most people would never think of doing but it is also hard work and you can get lucky sometimes and fine that holy grail of clean steel , copper and aluminum .
he ended up buying a smelting set up cheap and now melts anything aluminum he has hundreds if not thousands of little 5 pound ingots of clean aluminum . he even grabs cans now out of dumpsters he says each can is less than a penny in aluminum but when you have hundreds of thousands of cans melted down it just means MO MONEY BABY!!!!

I love when you start picking the tops of garbage cans, I'm just sitting here saying yep he's definitely going in lol. I miss dumpster diving and I'm like you, I could never literally believe the stuff people threw away. Insane the awesome things that I found just totally blew my mind. :)

I really like the scavengers video's, and look forward to every new one he produces. I just wish he would close the lids on the dumpsters. My boss doesn't mind the scavengers but he has a sign up that reads " PLEASE CLOSE THE LIDS". If the lids are left open he locks the dumpster for awhile.
I think he closes lids he just does not show in video to save space for more interesting stuff
I know those lifting straps are worth upwards of $40 apiece.. I buy em for pull straps on my wrecker.. easier on customers units than chain..
I have straps that were used to lift B-52's I used them to lift heavy loads.

The TURK cables are for any kind of digital electronics....they are fairly expensive. Use them every day at work

Lapp Cable is damn expensive cabling because they manufacture special application cables like high flex cables.
I love to grab good stuff that was put to the curb. I used to dumpster dive . I found all kinds of good stuff. Keep the videos coming.

Nice day out scrapping Mike. Before I got sick I loved scrapping.
You should always go through the big plastic boxes you find like the one in the dumpster full of wire. They send big expensive parts for airplanes tanks and other trucks in the armed forces. Just letting you know for next time always check them we always put the bad part back into them. You could walk away with a ton of scrap.
Your TURCK cables are used extensively in automated machines and material handling. They are used to connect sensors to the programmable controller. Could be photo cell, laser, proximity sensor or magnetic sensors. They are pretty expensive new, unless you're an OEM who has negotiated a deal. The cords always have a plug on one end. This is the type of stuff I worked with for about 30 of my 50 years in the trade.
