  • In this video I cover the 4 plastic composite mag pouches I purchased from Double Alpha Academy and compare them to their aluminum counterparts. They're $80.00 less expensive than the aluminum version and yet are exact in every way except that the outer pouch is a plastic composite. I also discuss the DAA Lynx belt that I'll now be using at my local non-USPSA events.

Hey Marcus! Thanks for watching, and I'm glad you found it informative. I'll be using that belt and mag pouches for my local club competitions with my new Canik SPx Rival.

Cheers for the informative video. Can you mount a magnet on the forward mag holder?

Thanks for watching! Yes, the pouch has a hole in the front of it but since it's plastic, you have to get this kit: www.doublealpha.biz/us/daa-racer-pouch-magnet-kit
It has a special nut that presses into the plastic of the pouch and allows you to mount a magnet.
      I hope that helps!

I put my pouches in the certain of the lynx and not on the hinge thinking it would be more sturdy and fold better. Are the pouches suppose to mount on the hinge?

Thanks for watching! You can mount them any way you want to. I don't think it really matters if they are on the hinge or in the middle of the link. You still get great purchase of the velcro on both surfaces.

How easy is it to change from accs. If u use belt for 3gun , idpa.. rimfire matchs? Are far as different mag. Pouches gun holster etc.

Hey John, thanks for watching! Well, I would say it depends on what you're changing out. The mag pouches come off with just 2 torx head screws, and you'd keep your alignment identical if you put whatever pouch you were changing it out to if you put it on the same belt link. I would say the same for a holster. What I do is just have a belt/'rig' for each of the main guns I shoot. I have one for my 9mm Atlas Hyperion, one for my 40 cal Atlas Nemesis, another for my PCC (just a Lynx belt and mag pouches) and one for my 9mm guns (I use one belt for my Canik SFX Rival, M&P Pro Series, and Sig Sauer P320 X5 Legion--all I do is swap out the holsters since I use the Henning T1000 mount and changing out a holster takes about 2 minutes). All of those guns above use the same mag pouches, so I don't have to change them out. The Lynx belt is so inexpensive having a couple of them on-hand isn't a budget breaker.

What spacer would you use for Glock mags?

Thanks for watching and that's a great question. You could email that question to Saul Kirsch the owner of DAA:
