Hye young at first wanted to get close to Jojo but was shy, eventually made it clear that he was interested in Jojo but never ever begged her to like him back. He quietly supported her even if there wasn't any chances of his feelings being reciprocated. He didn't interfere in Jojo and sunoh's relationship, didn't put her in any uncomfortable situation. He didn't act like he is entitled to her because he likes her, he let Jojo make her own decisions. The beginning part was him being in one sided love,he was hurt but handled the situation in a mature way.

I think the reason she broke up with him is cause she had a lot on her plate, so she felt like being alone was the best way that she can't hurt other people or being hurt. SunOh figured out the hidden meaning behind her IG posts then he felt bad because of it. They had one last talk to give closure to each other and moved on, at least that's how I think.

It takes maturity to understand the beauty and message of the story. We don't always end up with our first love, do we? No matter how much this two people love each other, they can't stay together if it's "heavy", it's just really hard to force. They won't be truly happy because of the weight. We all deserve to find the love that is meant for us, a love so smooth that truly makes us happy. Love Alarm 2 relayed that message perfectly. ❤️

This quote has nothing to do with her relationship decisions. Its such a beautiful quote that you are misinterpreting. She’s referring to her younger self and all the tragedies they carry. Which are just “too heavy” to continue to live with.

I love Love Alarm because of the story and the message it wants to convey. A lot of people and me included got carried away by the so called chemistry of the characters of Sun Oh and Kim Jojo but after watching season 2 I finally realized that its not about the chemistry but about the story. I just hope they could have elaborate more on those on scripts or scenes because I think thats why a lot of people didnt get the moral of the story because its not well explained but overall very good kdrama for me. Kudos to the writer/script writer for following the original story in webtoon.

Jojo's love for Hye-yeong has always been there, but she kept doubting herself. People may think it's boring, or that they don't have chemistry. But, I love the ending. The stability, and sureness of a relationship. One that you know you can grow as a person in. If that's not what love is, then I don't know what is. I'm happy that in the end, they all knew what they wanted. With or without the sound of that alarm.

I didn't know why i love the ending so much. Even though sun oh love jojo, he was relying on the alarm and forcing her to like him back n i find that toxic. But at the end, i am happy that he understands her and I am also happy that he finally open his heart for Yuk Jo (I really love her character too.) Not to mentioned, Nok Jo and he young character never give up for their loves for their loves one.

Jung Ga-ram is hellaa cute !! i can't take my eyes off him! season 2 is so beautifully directed. I mean the aesthetics were so eye-pleasing. Hyeyoung's character is my favourite. Such a GOOD boy he is. Im glad his patience finally paid off and he could get a happy ending with Jojo. On the other hand, I'm happy for Sun-oh too. He showed some character development in the last few episodes. EVERYONE GOT THEIR RESPECTIVE HAPPY ENDINGS. YEAHH!!!

I was disappointed with Season 2. Not because Jojo ended up with Hye-yeong (I personally would have preferred Jojo with Sun-oh) but the way she ended up with him. She put the shield to hide from Sun-oh and used the spear for Hye-yeong. I would have rather seen the shield be removed, then Jojo ends up ringing both Sun-oh and Hye-yeong's love alarm, then she tries to figure out who she really loves. I don't buy how she loves Sun-oh, breaks up with him (without a good reason in my opinion), and then decides Hye-yeong is the one she loves.
Have you watched ep 6, where duk gu explained to hye yeong why jojo decided to use the spear? the shield cant be broken, while jojo wants to show her heart to hyeyeong.
And, in the end of ep, the logs show that (if there is no shield), jojo DID rang Hyeyeong alarm.
@@beatrices27 yes I did watch. I watched all the episodes. I just don't agree with it. I just think it is a cop out. Dug-ku can create the shield and not remove it, but can create a spear. Plus I don't buy how Jojo who was in love Sun-oh, breaks up with him (with no good reason, in my opinion), runs away and stops her love for him just like that, and then loves Hye-yeong. People don't just stop loving someone that abruptly. I am not saying that she shouldn't end up with Hye-yeong (of course I personally would have preferred Sun-oh) but I just found it hard to relate to and believe in. I understand the point of her making a decision without an app doing it for her. It is only my opinion but I just couldn't connect with season 2 compared to season 1. There was no fluidity from one season to the other, from how Jojo loved Sun-oh to loving Hye-yeong. For me, it didn't make sense how she went from one to the other. That's why I didn't enjoy season 2. [I think all the actors were great and did the best with the material they had, I just didn't enjoy or agree with the storyline that was created for season 2.]
In the webtoon, she got rid of the shield and she rang Hye yeong’s love alarm, not Sun-oh’s.
In the last part of the series, it was shown in her log that she rang Hye yeong’s love alarm even before she used the spear. 😊 It was reassurance that she did love him and she chose him.
But i guess I do get where you’re coming from with regard to the transition from season 1 episode 8 and season 2 episode 1.
As of the part where a person does not get over someone abruptly, 4-5 years has passed. Most people get over someone within a year. 😅 she decided she didn’t want to be with sun-oh, maybe she felt there was something missing. She couldn’t fight for their love. But she was willing to fight for Hye-Yeong. Doesn’t that mean something though?

I get why jojo chose hyeyoung in the end. sun oh's love was too intense it overwhelmed her while hyeyoung's love was patient and subtle. she's already suffering enough as it was and it didn't help that sun oh always puts her on the spot, burdening her even more. then there was sun oh's dysfunctional family who no doubt would affect her more negatively what's with their toxicity.
hyeyoung on the other hand paced it better. he was gentle and respectful through and through knowing that a slight push would make her go away. what jojo really needed was a discreet and peaceful relationship which she got from hyeyoung. we could only wish that she should've been honest and upfront with her feelings for the both of them but given her trauma and personality, that's not easy. but hyeyoung understood that and so he heldback a lot.
and who says sun oh lost when he got the best girl- yukjo? yukjo was the perfect balance for sun oh, she was kind and forgiving whereas he was temperamental. sun oh was the total example of a person who gives his all for love that's why he deserves a second chance at it. once sun oh's and yukjo's feelings aligned, it would be a splendid one.
jojo and sun oh were cute together on s1 but jojo x hyeyoung and sun oh x yukjo made more sense. s1 was about youthful love, s2 was about mature love.
p.s. I want to take sun oh away from that household. also he better treat yukjo-best-girl right this time around. jojo and hyeyoung can go on with their quiet dates and keep being cuties.

People will not even realize how glowing Jojo is when she is with Hye Yeong. She also finally able to share her darkest past with the person who is also matured enough to listen and understand her. Sun oh would've probably listened to her with utmost sincerity as well. The scene in S1 where jojo asks him why he isn't asking her about her jeju experience he said that she could tell him to him whenever she wanted and was comfortable. He never forced her as well.

I think mature audiences recognise that Hye Yeong is the better guy for JoJo.
Their relationship is healthy and mature and stable.
Whereas Sun-oh and JoJo's relationship was juvenile and tumultuous and just a typical high school fling.
I also hated how Sun-oh kissed her without her consent in Season 2, knowing fully well that she was in a relationship with Hye Yeong. That just shows that Sun-oh didn't really grow up and a lot of his behaviour just felt stalker-ish.
During the fight scene, Hye Yeong is just worried about Jojo because of the video going viral. He doesn't even question her, he's simply worried about her! And Hye Yeong is a gentleman who wouldn't go around kissing women without their consent and when they are with someone else.
I have rooted for Hye Yeong right from the Season 1 and am very happy with the ending of Love Alarm 😊

I was so pleasantly surprised that they just kept going the HY x JJ route in S2 and kept building their relationship slowly and in (mainly) very healthy ways. For most of S1 and the beginning of S2 I was half expecting them to pull the "but your first love is your REAL love forever" card and throw everything else out the window, and realizing they wouldn't go there after all made me so happy.
SO was sweet, but inconsiderate in many ways, and his actions felt like a typical kid that never really got to feel consequences for inappropriate behavior. He needed a bit of growing up, like all of them. But even so, he deserved way better than being dumped without reason and ignored for years. This ending made me feel so bad for him, even though he finally got some closure.
JJ kinda needed a therapist instead of two boyfriends, but I liked her development in the last episodes, and HY did a great job helping her get over herself too.
HY got his dream girl absolutely deservedly. He didn't pack the same emotional punch as SO, but he was damn awesome to JJ throughout the entire show and had so many great qualities, I think that deserves a reward in itself.

If you've really watched Love Alarm 2 you're well aware that Sun Oh got a proper happy ending - he experienced growth & is ready to understand & give chance to the feelings of others.

every interview Song Kang, Kim So Hyun and Ga Ram show a very good friendship.. they LOL together.. like brother and sister.. love to watch them happy playing together..
I love how comfortable they are! Sohyun is one evil maknae, jung garam and song kang always look speechless and end up smiling when she teases them hahaha. Last year they were still looking awkward with each other but now they look much closer and comfortable than before. Enough with the sunoh-jojo and hyeyoung-jojo fight, the trio friendship is the best!
I will surely miss seeing this trio in one frame:( we know how kdrama industry works they probably won't meet each other again ........

I would never accept how they unfold the stories in season 2. They can at least give reasonable story of why Jojo’s feeling changed. They can at least give Sun Oh the closure he needs, like why she broke him up. Honestly the reason is still unclear. I can see that romance started growing between Jojo and Hye Young but in my eyes it can’t be compared with how Jojo and Sun Oh react around each other. If the drama wants a different plot, make the second lead (hye young in my mind) gets the girl....I’m cool with it. Because that’s possible in real life. BUT they need to make sure it makes sense. Not comparing...but in the drama True Beauty, even if the girl end up with the second lead I somehow can understand. I can see the chemistry. I can see the reason why. This one, nope. Not at all.

know it’s not the ending a lot of people were hoping for, but Hye-yeong was the right choice in the end. He had unwavering feelings towards Jojo and they fell in love the natural ‘old fashioned’ way. Their relationship and feelings developed slowly and purely. It was sweet and more importantly, it was healthy! I am so happy for them!
I know Jojo ended her relationship rashly with Sun-oh in Season 1, but in Season 2 you see her apologising and she explains that she was immature back then. At the end of the day, they were merely high school students when they dated. It was a fleeting romance that meant a lot to Jojo and she will always have a place in her heart for Sun-oh, but she’s looking to gain more from an adult relationship.
Also on a side note - I have noticed a lot of angry comments such as “she didn’t end up with Song Kang”, this proves to me that these people are rooting for the actor and not the character Sun-oh. Sun-oh as a character wasn’t the most mature person if I’m honest and he shown a lot of immature traits. Please differentiate Sun-oh from Song Kang.

Jojo started to actually block her feelings for Sun oh as soon as she put the shield up. It’s not like she randomly switched her feelings at the last minute, it took her years to get over Sun oh and it took saying Hye Yeong for awhile before she even rang his love alarm. Also I’m pretty sure the scene where Sun oh and Jojo are talking before she fed to Jeju is the moment of closure for Sun oh, or it was supposed to be. Overall I think it makes sense for them to end together and I think they had chemistry but that’s just my opinion

I felt like people don't get the story line. It's not about forcing love. Sometimes you don't even realise when you love someone. Sunoh definitely likes yukjo's company and there is no such a thing in relationship only taling about chemistry. Relationship is a commitment. Just like the sunoh's mom and dad. Even though the mom doesn't ring his dad alarm, in the end she is the one staying in commitment. This drama actually telling people that there is no end of possibilities that you'll ends up liking someone. Don't limit yourself or scale someone else's feeling's or heart just by data.

i liked season 2, Hye-yeong was able to win over Jojo’s heart after trying for four years, I was happy that she was finally able to love him back although it was sad for Sun-Oh he still had a great girl who loved him as well and deserved him and who he had more things in common with. I think the story unfolded well, there was a lot of mystery and they really wanted to confuse us on who she really loved.

It is already cooked, we can't change anything but we can show them that we are disappointed so they will make better drama for the future. It is not hated, it is a disappointment to the story and it is okay because people have free will to state their opinion. If they feel annoyed or such it because they care about the drama story, if they didn't comment anything that means no one cares about the drama. I ever create content and there are no comments no hate or love, it way worse feeling because I don't get feedback results from my work.

@Vaishnavi Gagrani I actually think Gul mi started to appreciate her mother a lot more which was sort of her development and she acknowledged hard working people, she also stopped treating Jojo like shit so that’s pretty good too. Overall you can’t expect her to be a saint because her character development started at the beginning of season 2 and that seasons duration was a few months I think? So I do believe they’ve set up her character to slowly become better in the future, and I like that they didn’t just outright do it because people don’t work like that. Fixing your selfish view of things takes time and it won’t happen in the span of a few months so I think they did her character alright

Also that moment he realized why Jojo broke up with him (reading the Ringing World I think it’s called) and talking to her about in the same place they used to walk during high school. Overall I think he got many meaningful scenes. OH YEAH and the scene with Hye Yeong at the end 🥺 they decided to be friends again, that meant a lot too

I'm so disappointed in season 2 that's even hard to watch the interview. I wish I never watched, can't believe I waited 1 year and a half to see that. Don't get me wrong, HyeYoung is a gentleman and deserves all the happiness in the world but if they wanted to make her stay with him then don't make an entire Season 1 when the plot is how basically Sun Oh is the love of her life and she's lying and going all over the place to protect him, not to mention that they basically changed the lead actor from season 1 and 2, Sun Oh who was the male main character had hardly any meaningful scene, it was all about him being petty and crying (where was his lines? he barely got any). It was such a good show, but i don't know what they tried to do with the second season, but boy let me tell IT DIDN'T WORK, and i'm not even talking just because I don't ship Jojo and HyeYoung, it was just all over the place. One thing that I can't hold it any longer is Park Gul Mi (the girl that lives with jojo), the entire first season was showing how she was so child, arrogant, just wanted money, no personality, basically a terrible person who treated everyone like trash, the literally FINISHED the season with her being like this, and they made season 2 portraying her character LITERALLY the same way! No character development whatsoever! I'm sorry about the rant but DAMN was i pissed when I finished. Anyways, the actors are amazing i love them all, can't wait to their next projects, but this show was a waste of a really good cast and the show had a lot of fans, it could've been a hit again. (Just saying AGAIN, I DONT hate HyeYoung I just wish they wrote the script different in season 1 so it was always clear who was endgame.)

The ending wouldn’t be as bad if only they had shown a transition of feelings. Season 1 ended with a cliff hanger where Jojo had to choose between the two. Season 1 showed us the chemistry of Jojo and Sun oh whereas Hye Yeong was just always in the corner watching. Now here comes season 2 starting with Jojo and Hye Yeong together. People watching would never be able to move past Jojo and Sun oh’s romance because the drama never showed Hye Yeong’s chemistry with Jojo. And Jojo breaking up with Sun oh because she was scared to be hurt and that people will leave her? But here we are in season 2 where she’s with Hye Yeong? WTH! Sun oh chased her and she still had feelings. But she kept on denying it. Even in season 2 she still had feeling for Sun oh. It seemed to me like she never really chose Hye Yeong because of love. I like both of the lead actors but just the twist of this series is so twisted.

They showed their feelings grow, hye yeong and her could talk abt everything, they are willing to wait for each other when they are busy, they always take time out to meet each other, their relationship was sincere, she gave him the chance while clearly telling him she don't know if she will like him but she will give it a try and he agreed (in season1) and their relationship development was slow paced and sweet, I don't think their relationship transition was missing but the change from season1 to season 2 was a bit off but they explained things on the way

I love Love Alarm because of the story and the message it wants to convey. A lot of people and me included got carried away by the so called chemistry of the characters of Sun Oh and Kim Jojo but after watching season 2 I finally realized that its not about the chemistry but about the story. I just hope they could have elaborate more on those on scripts or scenes because I think thats why a lot of people didnt get the moral of the story because its not well explained but overall very good kdrama for me. Kudos to the writer/script writer for following the original story in webtoon.
When I'd watched season one, I'd predicted she will end up with Hye-yeong for some reason so I'm not disappointed about who she ended up. Jojo (not the actress) is probably the most unlikeable female character. I spent most of season one and two, trying desperately to understand her and accept why she treated Sun-Oh like that. Plus, she has a habit of kissing other dudes when she's already in a relationship. By the time season two started, she already chose Hye-yeong. What was the point of not giving Sun-Oh a reason that whole time?
Well it is because Jojo was never in love with Sun-ho to begin with. Season 1 clears all your doubts actually if you watch it closely. She is selfish, self-centered and the pain she has been carrying since her childhood, has made her a cold person. It was just a like from the beginning for Jojo.. She was never in love with Sun-ho
I think Jojo-Sun Oh fell in love is because they share similar pain, lonely, feeling abandoned, not worthy. While hye young and the other girl are warm person that jojo and sun oh actually need.

To me the ending was a good example of happy ending. Sun Oh finally started to fell for Yuk Jo. She is such a sweetheart and Sun Oh needed someone like her. Sun Oh deserved her so did she.
Then Hye Yeong and Jojo. I LOVED IT. It was a sweet, matured relationship. It shows that they have grown up and also how they are willing to wait for each other. I personally aftee watching season 1, i thought even if she ended up with Hye Yeong in season 2 maybe it would be more like her doing this to make Sun Oh completely hate her and also to make Hye Yeong happy. But now after i watched it , i think yeah they did her justice. The way she fell even harder for him and made the first move was amazing.
Although everyone is not happy with the ending cause of Sun Oh and Jojo didnt end up together.
But lets be honest the storyline did make sense. Your first love can be beautiful and hard to move on from. You might think will i ever be able to move on and think you guys were meant to be but when someone else comes into the picture and you fall for that person more than your first love. Thats when you know, that the first love was not your last love. And its okay to move on from that. The first love then will be a beautiful memory, it is a person you crossed path with in the time of your journey and made nice memories otw to your destinition ( who is your soulmate). Hye Yeong and Jojo was meant to be Sun Oh and Yuk Jo was meant to be . Just remember everything doesnt start out sweet. It takes time for love to grow. Some takes 5 min then some takes 1 year. So lets all appreciate the fact we got this amazing drama.

Usually I judge a character OUTSIDE of how they are with their love interest (the one supposedly making them a better person). Hye Yeong was already a good kind compassionate loving guy and he wasn't even in a relationship with the girl for most of S1. S2 just proved why he was the solid foundation someone like JoJo needed. I'd trade all the Sun Ho's in the world for even ONE Hye Yeong.
THIS. sun oh represents a childhood first love and will always remain special, but it’s not always the “forever” kind of love. I’m glad jojo chose hye young in the end.

How are there only a few people who see that Sun Oh was literally selfish the entire time and didn't even consider Hye Yeongs feelings when it came to Jojo. It's about time the 2nd main guy get the girl. I was not disappointed with season 2 at all. Both guys were great but I just love Hye-Yeong. He was always there for Jojo, knowing she may not love him back. Make sense why she have a change of heart. Alot of people are upset that she didn't end up with Sun-oh and I get it but overall it's not as bad as everyone mention. Love all the sweet moment jojo and Hye-Yeong have together. A lot of heart skipping scene for me. I do feel bad about Sun-Oh but he have someone to keep him company.
