I love how Nicola, Luke and Adjoa really have soaked up their characters from the books and translate this to the show's versions as well.
This gives me high hopes that I'll enjoy what they did with this season, because Polin's book is my favourite (followed by Kanthony's).
Some examples of how they understand and fan service their respective characters: Luke since day one made sure he's often seen with food in his hand as a an easter egg to book Colin. Here in the video you can hear Nicola speak upon how Pen had put Colin on a pedestal and now realises there is other sides to him beside the charming one he shows polite society. And Adjoa also often speaks about the characters in a way that shows her understanding in interviews, but a small detail that made me tear up: the cast had a screening of some of the episodes of season 3 and apparently afterwards Adjoa turned to Nicola and said "this is for the wallflowers" which made Nicola tear up.
