Btw they are saying either 3 similar sounding words;
1. Naega~means "I" honorific/polite speech use for younger to older person ie: child to parent speech
2. Nega~ Same "I"or "me"
but informal or casual speech like older sibling to younger sibling
talk.
3. Niga~means "you"
casual speech like when talking between close friends/same age group or siblings. Used more when complaining or fighting.
*Nurga (Neoga) same meaning as above. Honorific/polite speech, but older person speaking to a younger person ie: teacher to student

Jaega (제가) jeonun(저는) are ONLY polite formal words for "I" and "me"
"You" is almost never used in formal speech Korean it's always the persons name or status only sometimes dangsin(당신) is used but it's always either dramatic or rude tho

Don't know where this clip is from but I saw a video of Jimin talking about toxic masculinity and how he felt like he had to act a certain way. At the end he says "Hurry up and be yourself" (adressing his younger self). I would argue that Jimin *is* feminine. But he's also masculine, and androgynous. He's everything.

They weren't trying to be something they're not, BTS started as a hip hop group and were built around a dope ass rapper. They just to tried to look like how they saw hip hop portrayed. They corrected that though. Their love of, knowledge of and respect of hip hop is solid. Its part of the DNA that is BTS. 12:37 I understand where you’re coming from, but I wouldn’t put it as ‘they’re trying to be something that they’re not’. BTS started as a hip hop group, the first 3 members are the rap line. They have grown up, matured, evolved, but make no mistake hip hop is still at BTS’ core to this day. Across albums, through the years, hip hop is a through-line. I don’t think you’ve done these yet, but you will understand better when you watch ‘Born Singer’ and ‘Hip Hop Lover’. You need to see them perform these songs, but just as important you need to pay attention to the lyrics. I hope to see reactions to both songs on here. Also looking forward to the guide to BTS. ✌🏽
I’m waiting for those reactions, too, I love all my boys, but it’s not all about Jimin, the seducer of the group. My bias is Hobi, especially because of his idiosyncrasies and his swag, and his showmanship, and JK, along with the others, are my wreckers.
Agreed. They started off as a hip hop group and evolved. They were kids having fun. It’s not a forced thing. Jimin grew into himself like everyone does. BigHit was not forcing them to do anything. The entire group evolved as they grew and found themselves. Make no mistake about it, they all love hip hop in different ways. The clothes were more so what they could afford. They built the company from the ground up.

You are all still very new to bts, I don't think you should be making these bold claims that "this is not bts anymore". How do you know? Have you listened to their entire discography for the past 2 years? NO. You haven't. "Jimin was forced to do this". How do you know? Did he ever say that? NO. He actually has always demonstrated enthusiasm for hiphop even if he wasn't an underground rapper like Suga and RM, during a stage practice for their "Red Bullet tour" (their first tour in which their perfomed songs from their initial discography which was heavy hiphop) he said to JK, who was recording his own vlog, that he liked ALL of their songs and that he wished they could perform more of them on music shows (which usually only allowed them 1 song or brigded performances, if they were able to perform at all bc of the lack of influence their label had).
I don't know if this "this wasn't really jimin (and the rest of the vocal line)" comes from solos and you all just started repeating it or what but it's a bunch of lies, all it takes is to watch bts content and trust their words in and out of production abt their music to know it.
It looks that they caught one statement from one fan that spoke without context and now jimin is boiled down feminine and that he forced into this concept when there are so many layers to him. They need to watch more natural behind the scenes of Bts so that they see what bts is for themselves instead of creating a concept for them in the head
It's more that Jimin didn't like the pressure of looking 100% all the time especially showing off his abs. He still likes to but wants to when he wants too not cuz he was told too. It was hard for him to keep that tone look and not be worried about gaining weight. While not be able to eat the way he wants. That's why he is so against dieting now cuz he pushed himself till it hurt him. For example, not eating for a week only allowing himself 1 meal. Still going to practice and gym everyday for hours. It wasn't cuz he doesn't like Hip Hop style or music tho.

He also has a tattoo from Suga’s aggressive rap intro Nevermind inked on his body. Yes, this particular brand of hip hop from their earlier years that they whole group moved on from over time may have not been his exact cup of tea but he is into hip hop. He knowingly joined a hip hop group (I don’t know why people are saying he didn’t), and idols are very aware that part of their job is to express different concepts and understand the art in that. It’s important to listen to what he says about his experiences but I find some of the takes about Jimin really extra. Dude is not oppressed.

Who said Jimin was forced. He auditioned for a hip hop group . lol. As far as style, it’s very natural for people to evolve. What you like as a teenager is different as an adult.
He auditioned for BigHit, not "a hip hop group".
NO ONE auditions for a specific group, just the company itself. Half the time, MOST of the time, the companies don't even HAVE a group in mind...the companies just train them to "do it all" and place them where (rather, with who) they feel they'll fit best.
Pass the audition, you go where you're assigned, so...yes...he was forced.

Thankfully, he did end up loving most genres/styles of music (and dance), though.
His love for rap came mostly thanks to the rap line having the entire group listen to a LOT of rap (Korean and American) in the dorm. LOL

Suga said once that someone had asked him about it but he didn't know what to say because it was a $10 shirt and the staff wrote on it, so every clothing on them was inexpensive and probably decorated by the staff. First album, no money, remember.
Not sure if y'all are just giving E Man a hard time or not. The "block" may mean something particular in hood lingo. But technically any neighborhood can have blocks. They are strips of buildings, houses, etc. between intersecting streets. Like if your trying to find a place and someone says its 3 more blocks from here. Most of the time I disagree with E Man but got to give him credit for that one. Just saying. 💜

Thanks was fun. Last year Jimin's pre debut street dance battle footage was found in one local dance club channel. A bit of it is included in the dance compilations Park Jimin dance evolution and versatility by The Jimin Videos (same channel who made Park Jimin introduction 2023 that you watched). You can see Jimin started with hip hop which he loves. Please watch it.
Sadly his dance footages were blurred from Seotaji x BTS concert for copyright reasons but you can watch them in the concert.

You're entitled to your opinion, but I don't agree that Jimin was so unhappy and not being himself. All the members knowingly signed up to be part of a hip hop group. It took the members and their company a while to figure out the best direction for BTS. The guide to BTS show, Jimin, did Modern dance and Hip hop dancing before BTS. 💜

"The block" is not just the hood. I lived in the projects in Brooklyn New York and lived in a house in Queens New York and still called it the block. Now I live in FL in a house in a beautiful area and my son will tell his friends I'm going to the block ( referring to going home)

This is their debut 2013. Jungkook was only 15. They were very young, everyone is different from teen to young adult to full on adult men. They debut as a hip hop group and they evolved. Each new album is a new side of BTS.
Well, we have to acknowledge PD's first vision of BTS being a Hip hop group. However, bringing seven individuals with seven different talent skills would've been difficult from the get-go. However, they are now tapping into their individuality now; it's part of artists growth, and PD acknowledged how they needed to grow as a group and supported the 7. But in saying that, I love their early songs.
