This is an amazing teaching. Tim you are a brave & grace shaped Christ follower. Thank you!
Tim Mackie is wonderful...such a blessing to the world.
Tim Mackie had bless my family so much by taking the Bible in biblical times to explain it beautifully and with such joy he had a great sense of humor as well 😅we love him and I’m so happy to see that my family are reading the Bible more and enjoying his teaching. God bless you Tim ❤
Imagine walking and christ appears lectures you and then makes it like he didn’t understand what was going on but still taught us the way just marvelous
What a blessing. Thank you for this reminder.
This is the most powerful message of the cross I have ever heard.
I feel the same as you. Glad you found us. Stay tuned! We’re so glad you’re here and we have so much more to share. Subscribe for more
Tim’s teaching always speaks truth and healing to my heart. I do not appreciate the music in the background, it is distracting.
God blessings on all involved with this video
THANKS
Absolutely brilliant !
Tim’s message is powerful and so, so true and relevant to this world. God’s love has conquered all. Now let’’s live and love like it!
I understand the point. I personally really don't see Y that matters to people at all. Jesus was the savior of the world. Not the white, black, brown, or whatever color world. THE ENTIRE WORLD. All Glory To God.
I would hang that picture of Jesus, I would rather be accurate then appeasing to everyone else's sensibilities.
Thank you 🙏
You’re welcome 😊
Very nice.
Amen
That's why I love the 'Chosen" series it depicts Christ more realisticly. I am so glad the blinders are coming off.
Agreed ❤️🔔❤️
The chosen doesn’t depict Christ realistically at all.
@@gouchscowl8601 Amen 🙏
'Chosen' doesn't depict Jesus realistically..in fact it's an attempt to debase Christ divinity & sanctity by the Hollywood.
The video cuts off to a screenshot at 21:33 and I think it’s a pivotal transition statement. It doesn’t connect what he’s saying to the Sermon on the Plain reference.
definitely confused me as well. is there a full video somewhere?
at 27 min. Then why God did not hardwire that type of logic in our brains about loving thy enemy. It will take less effort, energy, explanation for us to follow, Jesus!
What happened to the whole story of the Maccabee revolt? Pretty big chunk missing from the video
We had that picture on the wall in my parents' home. Long time later I learned He probably did not look like that because He was Jewish. But I still liked it.
He was an Israelite of the tribe of Judah. There is a difference.
Wonderful video! Thank you for the teaching. God truly is great and we must rely on Him for wisdom and how to love and live.
Absolutely!
Just like the 'image' we are given of the earth is no where near what the truth of it is.
Can you please share where the full message is? Missing the connection with the historical context of Emmaus. The video shuts off.
First of all, Jesus is very down to earth so you don’t have to be afraid to be yourself when you speak to him. Maybe that’s the problem. You don’t understand come as you are and people think they have to be super holy and that’s not true
Arrius Calpurnius Piso - the story teller.
Great word. … but please stop the music.
Noted ✅ I have made this change for future content. Stay Tuned, The Beginning Is Near🔔✌️❤️
Has anyone noticed how much Tim Mackie sounds just like Jad Abrumad?
Although I always agree with Tim 99 percent of the time, the picture analogy doesn’t work because if I grew up with the 2nd picture of Jesus for 50 years the first one would actually look wrong to me. Also since no one can debunk it I believe he left a picture on the the Shroud that looks like him. And no I’m not catholic. The imprinted face is on the material from a light that cannot be duplicated
Sorry you feel that way, I’ll stick with Tim
Absolutely 💯.
Yeshua's actual portrait is on the shroud of turin. also the earliest icons and first century mosaics in churches have a very similar portraits to that of the shrine .. so yeah we have a pretty good idea what our lord looks like 👍
Yeah but what about..... :)
I don’t think I care. I never thought Jesus was white anyway but colour doesn’t matter. It was just logical. We should not judge by appearance but by character.
If you really listen to this video it’s not talking about understanding what color Jesus’ skin was. It’s about us meeting the Hebrew Scriptures, the Bible, and ultimately Jesus on their own terms. Not letting modern western ideals mold our thinking. Hope that makes sense and hope you stick around!
I think the shroud of Turin is a pretty good likeness and is not a 'graven image.' Photography is defined as 'writing with light' which makes the shroud of Turin the closest we have to a photograph...
Why not describe this Bible passage by using the word account rather than story? Story sort of sounds like a child's fairytale than an actual event that happened.
This guy does that, though. People need to watch his sermons with their bibles open, so they can see how he subtly tweaks truth until it is no longer truth. People who love his sermons have itching ears.
What exactly did Tim Mackie say that was untrue? All he is doing is provide some background and context to the events being described in Luke 24. He relates everything back to the text as it is written in verse 13 through 24. He is helping us better understand the text so we grasp the meaning and significance of what the original author is trying to convey. He doing what every good teacher is suppose to do. So again I ask, what specifically did Tim Mackie say that was unbiblical or untrue?
iyiyi
Does it? Plenty of people use "story" to mean "account" rather than fiction. I would agree its ambiguous and you could use the phrase to mean something made up but to be honest "an account" can be made up to.
The actual "fairytale" is the deceptive presentation in the picture to the world. Thanks you Pasmtor.
