Move the center link arm to the low position on the tractor. That may give you the tilt up you are looking for when you lift the bale.

We have used a hydrualic cylinder as the top link when using a 3-point bale mover. It allows you to angle the spear to pierce bale at the correct angle similarly to the loader. Then you can angle the spear up at the back once you raise the 3-point to help keep the bale in place.

Evan, before you go thru the work of remanning the hay spear play around with the top link geometry a little to see if will do what you want. ie. shorten the top link or change the pin location to a different hole on the tractor. It might be enough. You may have done that off camera but if not give it a shot. Looks great and got the job done as is so not a failure at all.

Just a piece of advice on the sheep hay feeder you might want to get a sheep panel or one with small holes to line the feeder with. It will keep them from pulling hay out and wasting it. And also when they lamb be careful about putting hay in the feeder the sheep will lay under it where it is warm and smush there lambs. Not telling you what to do but just a few things we have learned while raising sheep. Always enjoy the videos.

This year in our area every one is getting 30% off the field. A friend usually gets 200 rounds this year they had 67. So I ended up buying a flat of hay cubes. It should keep my animals over winter and I did get a few rounds ( 3 ) so I can give them some hay bags to keep them busy between feeding. I only have a horse a mini horse and a goat. The goat will get pelleted feed. I nursed an old horse on hay cubes over winter so it should be fine. I'll need to get a heated bucket for very cold days. We do get -35c or less. Will be an interesting year ;) I'm hoping to find a second cut and get a few more, but my petting zoo isn't high on any ones list, & I get that. Some ones lively hood is more important for sure. I can do buckets of slop ;) My winter area is right out my back door lol
