I hope you test the new scintillation...the three burst strand nightfall linear...it can roll reconstruction/reservoir burst
I am pretty excited to get my hands on that roll. I would assume it should function in a very similar manner, but have a little extra potential damage in the 3 round burst archetype. 👍🍻

I did that new activity Enigma Protocol at the Helm recently. If you actually complete it all the way the 3 weapons (scout, sidearm, Linear FR) all drop with double perks. So I actually do have a Line In The Sand with Clown Cartridge & Reservoir Burst. I’m at work right now but I’ll give it a try when I’m home later & see if it also works with the Artefact Perk 👍🏼

I'm pretty sure clown cartridge will work with reservoir burst since envious + reservoir has been a staple combo for fusions--so pretty much any overflow mechanic counts.
I was under the same assumption. I figured and overflowed mag is an overflowed mag, and it should work just fine, but I'm often cautious about making any definitive claims in the video without testing it. 😅👍

I have this with clown cartridge and reservoir burst and yes it does work as you think it does, I find myself shooting one shot and reloaded before I start any encounter where I need to pump out that extra damage
I also tested clown cartridge reservoir burst. It does work but does not overfill over double the magazine. It may save you a melee hit or two depending on how much you overflow the mag with clown.
I imagine clown cartridge + reservoir is exactly why they decided to put reservoir on here in the first place.

I think the point of reservoir is to actually give linears some utility. Compared to every other heavy weapon type, linears only role is to deal good sustained damage, and that has been the case for a while. Even machine guns are good at not only add clearing, but also doing solid enough sustained damage on majors and minibosses. Thats also why euphony and still hunt are really good weapons, as they deal incredible amounts of damage as special weapons, letting you free up the heavy slot.
They should let the origin perk overflow it by default. Maybe not to 2x bc that seems a bit much for an origin, but maybe to 1.5x mag size
I have a enhanced ResB/CC roll, with CC & then the weapon origin perk enhanced by the artifact it goes to 15 rounds.
I have deconstruct and bait & switch. I was doing 100k per shot with bait and swich to the warden servitor boss. There's arc surges ofc
If were speaking mostly on best Reservoir Burst use case, I'd recommend Arc Warlock with Ball Lightning melee for range (you're using a linear) and the fragments "Beacons" for blind explosions on arc heavy while amplified, and then "Brilliance" for blind explosions on blinded enemies. Deconstruct in 3rd column could add "potential" damage boost so I'd probably go for that since I'll want to be relying on origin trait and artifact mod as a reloading mechanic.

From my understanding, any damage changes they are going to make in the future may change the specific numbers for a particular weapon, but the proportionality of that number vs. another weapon's numbers will stay the same. Provided surges are factored out, obviously. For example, we currently know weapon A does 100 dps and weapon B does 200 dps. The relationship of those values won't change; it'll always be B = 2A.
To the best of my knowledge as well, that should be 100% accurate. Good to know we're on the same page! 😁👍
Does the AoE hits trigger Deconstruct?
I haven't tested it, but since it is weapon bound damage, I would assume that it would. 👍👍
been looking at line in the sand as a potential anti tormentor option for in the raid.
Sleeper is good but slow, low reserves and takes up exotic.
Just tested a roll with clown/res burst,
got a god roll with both ChargeTime decreases, Clown + BnS. I enjoyed it using in the hero nightfall for the arc surge. Tho that’s probably the only time i’ll really use it, just for surges
I think that could be the overall best roll on Line for most situations! 👍🍻

In all seriousness it's a fun as all helios roll, and clown DOES stack with the origin trait. I got 13 rounds in the mag, and I love the fact that this thing is back with my one of my favorite perks in the game.

the changes coming will make it as if ALL surges are on, so it doesnt eeally matter whether you adjust it to without a surge
The problem is, that if this statement is untrue by even a single percentage point vs any enemy type, it is technically incorrect. When it comes to collecting and presenting data, that's not a chance I'm willing to take. 👍🏻👍🏻
Have the Clown + Burst combo. Yeah it's pretty good but doesn't stack with the artifact boosted perk. Gonna be using it a bunch on arc Hunter.
Your succession was getting the surge bonus as well because it’s kinetic and you had a super selected that was also a surge.
That is only true with an Overcharged Weapon Modifier active. This has already been discussed and disproven in the videos comment section.
I'm not sure if it's the case, but with your succession testing, you had an arc subclass on, which i think gives that bonus to kinetic weapons. If not, then ignore me, but I am just trying to give a friendly reminder ❤

Reconstruction and reservoir burst could be good. All overflowed rounds proc reservoir burst. Clown should do the same.
That could be a nice combo to hang onto as well! Any perks that can overflow the mag should be quite handy, especially when Saint's Inspiration exits the Seasonal Artifact! 👍🍻
using a linear fusion for ad clear is like using a wave frame GL for boss damage lol, it’s just not meant for that

It does lend itself to being a fun hybrid-type weapon for general play, but I agree, the fact that it really doesn't excel in damage or add-clear makes it a tough weapon to take too seriously. 👍👍
you can try it with hunter smoke, since the melee hits multiple times

I have a CC roll and it doesn't work with the Artifact perk. Max I could get was 12 in the mag.

i dont see how clown wouldn't work, RB works with all other overflowing mag perks like that, overflow, reconstruction, envious assassin, etc. just a heads up too, scintillation, the adaptive burst strand LFR thats coming from nightfalls, also gets reservoir burst.

Ehhh...if you're gonna sit on it, I would recommend B&S. Reservoir Burst's strength on this gun is largely dependent on the Artifact Perk. If you have no plans on equipping it now, B&S feels like a better pick for down the road. 👍👍
What about deconstruction enhanced with bait and switch. I have clown cartridge also. It over flows to a max of 14. Bas magazine of 7 with back up mag. So like 7 reservoir burst shots. Does enhanced clown cartridge do anything?
If you have a magazine Increase option it gives 8 so I would assume 16.
I do believe that Enhance Clown Cartridge does allow for an additional 33% mag refund on reload. Since that should work just fine on here, that would be a great perk to have especially when Saints Inspiration exits the artifact. I haven't tried Decon / B&S but it sounds like it has the potential to be a solid combo. 👍🍻
@@IronworkerGaming I got Decon/B&S god roll, it's pretty good but I feel like if you can find something to get that extra 40% dmg from Decon it'll slap hard
So i just tested it with a Clown Cartridge Resevoir Burst roll and sadly it does not work with the artifact perk, the max mag size is still 12 with the artifact perk and 9 shots of clown ammo. Hope this helped!

Ive got 1 with Clown/Reservoir, and one with Clown/Bait. Immediately stuck them in my vault, so no idea how Clown works with Reservoir or the origin :).

Hahaha! No worries! I didn't see any reason that an overflowed mag wouldn't work in all cases, but also, I didn't want to make any claims without confirmation! Others have said that it works just fine if the urge to try it out ever strikes you! 😂👍

Both sets were tested with the 12 round overflowed mag and numbers are adjusted to eliminate the Arc Surge.
Time to empty was obviously the same in both cases, 12.3 sec

Total Damage: 540,165
DPS: 43,915
Reservoir Burst: 25%
7 Buffed Shots, 5 Base Shots
Total Damage: 505,680
DPS 41,112

It definitely *should* work with clown cartridge, purely by how reservoir burst interacts with stuff like envious assassin on normal fusions. I see no reason why it wouldnt work the same way on an LFR.

Indeed. Is one of the reasons Clown Cartridge, or even Deconstruct piqued my interest. Neither would be on par with what it can achieve through the Origin Trait, but each still could recreate the effect to a certain extent. 👍👍
btw, clown cartridge and the seasonal artifact make it absolutely disgusting, another really good roll is rapid hit voltshot, tap a ad, reload with extra speed, lay into the boss with voltshot and watch the health bar disappear

It probably is the best perk on the weapon, but Bait and Switch Linears have been covered many time over throughout the years. Res Burst, while it does deal less damage, is an oddity which is why I wanted to take a look at it. 👍👍

Hate to burst your bubble about your "kinetic sniper rifle go burr," but you should know that if your Equiped super matches the surge (your lightning super in the video), then your kinetic weapons inherit the surge. So that 36,777 per crit is really 27,582. If you don't believe me, open any activity with modifiers active, go to the page where you select the difficulty, and READ the descriptions of all the modifiers. This has been a thing for months by the way, and most content creators like Matics, Aztecross, and Datto have no idea that it exists. Literally saw a video of them bashing Macrocosm because it would never have an active surge, when ironically it can ALWAYS be a part of the active surge (if you adjust your super accordingly).
Ummm...in the video when using the Arc Super, my sniper hit for 32,301. I just tested this out again with a Void super and hit for 32,301.

The kinetic boost is from the overcharged modifier. Overcharged isnt active in raids and duengons but is in nightfalls and some other activities.
Kinetic damage is unchanged and will only see an increase after the upcoming patch.
Hate to do this to u, but seems you arent reading the modifiers either. Only the overcharged weapons modifier gives kinetics a surge with matching supers, which dungeons/raid do not have. I remember thinking this too when watchibg Aztec before realizing lol
