    I have been saying that the secret to Christian Coleman's speed is his relatively low body weight of 71kg (24kg lighter than Ussain Bolt's weight) which gives him a big advantage in the acceleration / drive phase because the higher your power to weight ratio is, the faster you can accelerate. The same goes for cars. And here is the proof.

      @@z1510r A few things are simply incorrect there. Firstly, DK was never the fastest player in the NFL. That title has definitely been held by Tyreek for several years. Secondly, DK never went to the Olympic trials, he just competed in one regular track meet where he finished second last, rather than dead last like you said. After that one race from DK, he gave up trying to qualify for the Olympic trials, as it was unlikely that he would even be able to qualify (not just anyone can show up to trials.). I'd guess that if the true fastest man in the NFL in Tyreek really tried, he'd qualify for the Olympic trials and go out in the heats, or if he's lucky, the semi finals.

I just don’t get how people can seriously believe NFL player and soccer players for that matter, could compete against people who only train speed. I’m sure someday we will see another Bob Hayes type, but to sit here and say those guys from back then were faster, is just plain false. If you pause the video at 0:15 sec, the timers hand is on the "manual start" button which is an option on these browser laser timers. Granted they use this same timing method at the nil combine, but to get a true 40 you must have it be fully automated, in which if you pause the video at 0:11 sec you would see a small electronic box positioned next to his hand. Walker did these at 20 bo was 23. I aporeciate bos talent but his speed was overhyped as was his nfl career based on an average per carry lower than charles. Marcus allen took all the low yardage short carries while bo had the higher average runs taking a couple to the house. Theres no way bo was 4.12 electronic if he was so much quicker than all pro players his 60 and 100 speed would be way faster. Sammie smith a 230 pounder for miami and curtis dickey 225 cleveland had equally fast 100 and 60 yard times for dickey a decade earlier.

    This is definitely legit. He ran 9.76 in the 100m last year and broke the 60m world record with a time of 6.34. Track speed is on a whole different level because sprinters have way better form, and know how to make the most of the strength they have. Football players aren't trained to run 100m straight every game, so if they switch to track most of them would run crazy times too.

    All 60m races are indoor and I heard the air is thicker indoor so it would of been more difficult for Christian Coleman. Plus Bolts race also had 0.9m/s wind. So comparing Christian Coleman's 6.34 vs Usain Bolt's 6.31. I think Christian Coleman is faster at 60m than Bolt.

    • @123fockewolf
      @123fockewolf Před 9 měsíci

      Then you dont know how sprint techniques works. depending on the distance to run there are different ways to run them.. at the 100m where bolt did 6.31 he did not try to reach top speed to early because then you have to try to maintain it longer which will make you lose speed over a longer distance. Bolt could reach a top speed maybe at 40-50meters if he wanted to but its not ideal for 100m. also same for Coleman he sometimes has a to short drive phase and then starts to slow down after 60meters already.

    • @2DarkHorizon
      @2DarkHorizon Před 9 měsíci

Usain Bolt came in third. Check it out on CZcams for yourself. Usain is considered the 3rd fastest man in the world this year, just behind Christian Coleman.
      Track speed is a lot faster than Football speed. Football is more about side to side quickness & agility. Speed in football helps, if the athlete knows how to use it but it's not the end all be all. And as history has proven, a lot of very fast football players haven't really excelled in football. Quickness has.
