Thank you aunty even now at 28, now I didn't make it through high-school I stopped at 10th grade. ....my mom was a single parent so she cud only do but so much. Life has gotten in the way.😢😢 so many times whenever I try. Like you I have or feel I'm talented in different areas. I just need that break. That will let me explore and grow . There are some teachers who will nurture a child talent and then there are those who will try to destroy it. If you have a child with a talent you need to nurture it "not push". It is important to praise your child and build their confidence before they enter the school system. Build a bond so they can talk to you . Always stop and listen when your child wants to speak to you, especially if you have a child that does not speak a lot.
One thing I have to thank my mother for ,is teaching me not to allow other people's opinion to derail me from my path.

This is such a good conversation. While I’m grateful for my journey so far, i know for sure i took the extra long route to get where I am now. 😅 But I had a lot of voices around me telling me I was unqualified. I find it fascinating the people who would say these things. But now, I don’t care about any of that because God gave ME the vision. They could NEVER understand. And (like yesterday’s video) some wanted to steal my dream away from me because they lack the creativity to bring it into fruition. Anyway, I can’t wait for more videos like this from you two.

This is the real talk! My 19:37 dad was a doctor and of course wanted all of us to train in the big 4 courses. I too loved fashion but was forced to do teacher training at the University. I left the teaching and started my fashion albeit later but I am here 😂

Fumi this is so true I had tears in my eyes the whole time you were speaking, especially near the end, where you mentioned how we were reared how our parents reared us. It was for a time that does not exist now I am 55 years old and I am still stuck in that concept but I’m learning and to hear you say that let me know that I have to take inventory of my life and adjust according to the times that we live in, and I have to accept that I get stuck in the way I was reared and determined to live my life as such and wonder why things aren’t going my way because I don’t adjust but I’m starting to thank you so much for that my auntie friend in my head I love you so much may God continue to bless you and your family🙏🏾👍🏾😘😘😘😘
