It's feels like you're in an emergency lockdown room in the foundation. everything is muffled, and you don't feel exactly safe in the safest room. You feel helpless, instead of being helped by being locked in an isolated and barely used room.

Damn, think of being janitor at light containment atm. You hear sirens go on and you think its training... then you hear painful screams and snapping. You hide in locker next to you. You hear footsteps and person saying "I know you are here" you start panicing but you are also ok. 3 minutes goes by and footsteps gets further and further. Then you hear "We spotted 049, trying to Re-Contain" you step out of locker and look to that hallway. Gladly NTF spots you and helps you. You are now at heavy containment and you hear deep laughing, its 106! Ntf says... Ntf guy got dragged into pocket dimension. You are alone again. Suddenly 173 Is there and you... blink... *SNAP*

Imagine this:
You're a scientist in the Entrance Zone, discussing something with your collague. But all of a sudden, the alarm goes off and you both decide to hide in a classroom. Your collague makes a barricade made out of tables and chairs while you keep an eye at the door. All you can hear are 682 going haywire, 106 taking people to the Pocket Dimension, 096 slaughtering anyone in its path and 049 "curing" fellow scientists. You pray to 343 that any of the SCP's won't come into the room. But it's too late.
You hear heavy footsteps approaching and someone singing.

Youre a class D in a cell
Suddenly, you start hearing all these noises. You cant leave your cell. You start hitting the door, it makes a metallic noise. You can hear Guards yelling and running around. The fact that youre in danger, there are people who could help you literally in front of your cell, but they dont, makes you panic. You scream and knock on the door as hard as you can. And then...silence. All you can hear is the alarm. No one is there. Youre trapped.
Five painfull hours pass, then you hear several cell doors being opened , footsteps and yells. Finally, your cell door opens. There is a person in front of you, but he doesnt look like a guard. Hes wearing orange uniform and a gasmask. He points a P90 at you and tells you to step out of your cell. The corridor is full of scared and confused class D and these unknown soldiers yelling orders at each other. They tell you to line up at the wall with the other class D. The last thing you hear are gunshots and the screams of several wounded class D getting shot

I always had a theory that Breach Shelters were designed to lure any SCP that entered and would be contained by unknown means, using personnel as bait.
I never once would believe O5 Command that these areas with big gates are just perfect safe havens for personnel to sit in and hear the carnage around them. SCP-106 knew about these rooms last containment breach and would play "peek-a-boo" with anyone else still in them.
I've heard reports and testimonials from survivors that they would try to save their friends from getting pulled into the pocket dimension. Bodies would quickly deteriorate if pulled on both ends, killing the host. Others would sacrifice themselves and push those out of the way from arms reaching from walls. Any and all surfaces were basically areas where SCP-106 would pop out of.
The gates are to remain closed during the alarm. Anyone else that didn't make it in time are stuck outside, pleading for help from those within. Sometimes, the tables turn and they're the ones hearing the horrors within the shelters. Good luck trying to leave after hearing that mess.
Breach Shelters are literal slaughter houses.
we never see breach shelters in the game proper, i imagine they have a miniature 106 chamber in them to prevent that

Let's just say, imagine you are in HCZ, you are speaking to a fellow coworker and then you hear the lights flicker and then you hear the announcement about the site being put in lockdown. For a moment you look up and see red lights on and off. You can hear gunshots and explosions. You start to run as you look at the blood everywhere and your fellow coworker getting slaughtered. That wouldn't be nice. You should've been in the cafeteria like your friends said.

P.O.V: Level-2 Researcher in the LCZ
Ah, it's a fresh new day, and you can't begin a new day with a hot and bubbly mug of coffee along with some mild milk. You go ahead and sit down on your silk-office chair after pressing the round button on your computer to turn it on. After taking a few slight sips of the hot coffee, you place it down on your desk, it was your ordinary day at the foundation until you suddenly hear chaos ongoing in the walls, you hear running, screaming, yelping and suddenly, the power breaks, before you could move or do anything, you hear the intercom blur out: "The site is experiencing multiple keter and euclid level containment breaches, full site lockdown initiated!" Now, your first thoughts would be that this was a fire drill as one was scheduled in the week, but no. Your thoughts were to be proven wrong as the guard stationary in the office area suddenly gets dragged by a inky and oily hand into a chocolate black mecus. You panic as you stand up from your chair and snatch some scissors from your pencil cup. You were ready to defend yourself as training taught you this, along that, some scientists next to you cower in fear and start saying quick prayers, you weren't the scared type, you were a confident type. You had some hope to escape, but-- *SNCCK!* The sudden sound alarmed you, causing you to flinch back and see your colleague's neck snapped, his body collapsed onto the floor with a swift motion and you come face-to-face with SCP-173. You immediately startle, but kept your eyes on him, you were teached the standard procedures on how to handle SCP-173. Your other colleague which was hiding under the table gasped in horror and began tearing up and whimpering, clearly terrified. You couldn't help your colleague right now, you slowly take a couple of steps back, eventually hitting your back against the door, your hand moves over to the button and you swiftly slam it, afterwards, the door opened, you back into the hallway and then close the door with your hand, before you know. *SNCCK!* That sound made you assume that your other colleague was dead, but you had to hurry, you didn't know what was going to happen, you didn't know what you were gonna do, but you had to get out of there. You start wandering around the hallways of light containment zone, searching for items that could help you along the journey to the surface. You eventually come across a level-3 guard which politely escorts you to the heavy containment zone, afterwards, you both wander the seamless hallways of the Heavy Containment Zone, but before you know it, SCP-106 proceeded to drag your accompliance into the pocket dimension, now spotting you, it gets out of it's hole and you began running for your dear life. You tried closing doors behind you, throwing shelves, everything possible! But he still got through, you eventually reached a tesla gate and you luckily managed to lure 106 away back into his pocket dimension from him being electrified. And then, you began wandering alone, you came across a couple of SCP's, but you tried to avoid them as best as you could and then, you came to the entrance zone. You knew that this could be a safe area..for the most part. With the breach going on, you didn't know what secrets that this zone had hidden for you. Before you could even pass the doors to the entrance zone, you then hear this. "Mobile Task Force Unit Epsilon-11, designated 'Nine Tailed Fox' has entered the facility. All remaining survivors are advised to stay in evacuation shelters or any other safe area until the unit has secured the facility. We'll start escorting personnel out as soon as the escaped SCP's have been recontained." Now, your veins fill up with hope and adrenaline, you then began running, screaming in joy and then you ran into some nine tailed fox units, they lead you to an evacuation shelter and that's it. You somehow did it. You lost your colleagues and your guard accompliance ,but atleast you made it. Be happy, be cheerful! Be joyful! You actually made it out.

1:20 you can hear scp 096 running to the target and the girl screaming
White labcoats rushed for exits; not you, however - you slipped into a small sideroom bridging off from the corridor. Through the old boxes and furtniture, you find a very temporary solace from what's going on outside.
Minutes crawl by as you hear all matter of ungodly sounds: gunshots, explosions, beastly roars and concrete shattering, just to name a few. The most unnerving one is the silence. At first, there were only short periods before another person screamed a few halls down.
But now it was everywhere. Everything was completely still, 'silence' couldn't justify how empty it all felt.
And that made everything worse...because you know this place was far from empty.
Now I can sleep well >:)
Even trained armed personnel couldn't defend the facility from breaches of SCP objects, now imagine how it feels to be a class-D..
Fun fact - SCP:Containment Breach takes place at an estimated time of 10:50-11:00AM(you can find this in the SCP-1499 containment)

The foundation as personnel from around the world. You can also hear a certain researcher with and irish accent saying "Hurry get in". i love those small details. Theres a lot of theme in Containement breach. It makes the game perfect.

When you get close enough 682 recognizes you saying *You will never get out of alive.*
