  • Fukuoka food stalls are famous in Japan and this Japanese food stall owner came from Kagoshima to open a Japanese yatai in Fukuoka. There are already a lot of yatai in Fukuoka, so this cutthroat business will not be easy for him. Many Yatai are very close together in Fukuoka. I hope he has great success selling ramen and other delicious street food!
    We wish him great success!

    Good video. The setup and breakdown for Yatai is ridiculously complicated and lengthy. I can’t imagine doing it every day. Must be a labor of love.

    So now we know what an (almost) new YATAI looks like. Best of luck to the man from KAGOSHIMA
    I wonder who will be the first owner who will introduce the first solar powered YATAI in Japan?
    His young helpers need to take a remedial reading course- in written Japanese=KAWAII!

    Surely it's not the girls first day working. They can't remember the hanji? It's on the top of the yatai, it's on their uniform..... If they need to tie a red ribbon to the left and red ribbon to the right this way they won't mix it up.

    May be bec it's NEW or the owner being too ambitious....... This Yatai was messy (as in too many things) or just unorganized

    • @pipinuka4087
      @pipinuka4087 Před 2 lety

      Yes I got to know the owner has previous experience, though I'm not a Yatai expert, all I know about them are from the YT channels like this, but what I have seen n understood was cooking, serving n eating all was done under the wooden structure, and the menu will be small, but here all the components were taken out except for eating and they brought all the items/utensils in the other car n kept it outside the wooden structure.
      I'm not bashing or being negative to the owner/cook n his food looked appetizing when they showed it in the end.
      But, what I felt was, this was more of a tent restaurant/culture than the Yatai culture itself...... Where he just added Yatai wooden structure n did nothing on it.

    • @andrutun
      @andrutun Před 2 lety

      @@pipinuka4087 Difference in Generation and Time especially in Fukuoka central area.
      Nowadays most yatai tents dont cook in their "wooden structure" area they mostly use that area for plating/serving/displaying their food/drink or heat up their food for example boiling odon.
      Doesn't mean that they dont exist those tents are mostly the older generation or those who took over the business.
      Every Yatai is different and dont forget that it's all about experiencing buying/eating from a food stand.
