- Welcome back to my coin collecting channel, today we are hunting for rare and valuable two pound coins from a £500 bag of £2 coins, today's big bag of coins is from the Bank. We are hunting for commemorative coins, error coins and coins in particularly good condition.
We are looking for the Olympic Handover £2s, the rarest, the Commonwealth Games £2s, Shakespeare £2s (Skull, Crown, Jester), Error coins, Territory £2s and everything else that we haven't already found for our collection.
Can we find the rarest and most valuable £2 coins? Are £2 coins worth collecting? Is it going to be another top coin hunt? Or our best coin hunt ever? Let's find out!

It'd be interesting to see what complete sets go for in terms of if all three Shakespeare's. If over time because so many where minted they don't sell well on eBay individually maybe the combined three/completed set might be worth £2-3 over face value? What other sets are there that might be strengthened by being paired together on eBay? Cracking video as always.
Recently found an olympic centenary in aldershot post office plus my mate got one from Lloyd's in Farnborough, also got sent a bunc jubilee 50p from change checker with cud material on... well done on the Beijing handover 👌
Q: what is your favourite 50p design so far and why ? Cheers Tony, Aldershot coin club

Great Olympic find LAFTA
Nice find, mate
Nice find all the Olympic coins are belter's which is your favourite of the three? Stay safe all the best.
In regard to your whole collection is your collection worth more than what you have invested in it. Basically if you sold everything today would you be in a profit or would you have made a loss?
That's a great Star find. 👍
Q: When are we gonna get a Lafta livestream?

Question: When a country such as Sri Lanka 🇱🇰 (previously Ceylon) changes its name and/currency from pounds to rupees would that class as an extra country on Numista?
Great stuff LAFTA 👍🏻
Enjoyed the hunt as usual mate. I noticed the other day I have a 1998 2p coin that is not magnetic ? It should be made of steel, is this normal. Thanks for the entertainment mate.
Hey lafta question for you is there any guernsey or jersey coin you want for your collection that you don't have? I only ask because I live in guernsey and can keep a eye out for you at our local coin fairs and if I find one you are looking for I will post it on to you.
What was the last year for a 2lb coin?
Question Hi, I am not a big collector like you are I just found myself collecting all the 2 pound and 50p that had pictures on the back a few years ago I have quite a few now but how do I know which ones to keep or to get rid of I would love to have a book like you have but again what do I put in there and keep and what ones to I get rid of please help. I love watching your video's
I like you am not a big collector like these CZcams guys.i have kept the Olympic ones I've still 3 to go.the Paddington set and beatrix potter set.you can Google for pictures of all these sets and save on iPad etc and know when you've got them all.you can also cross them out on iPad as and when you get them.👍
you should send them back to the bank
what is a dye rotation ANYONE?
"A coin die is one of the two metallic pieces that are used to strike a coin, one per each side of the coin. A die contains an inverse version of the image to be struck on the coin. Striking a coin refers to pressing an image into the blank metal disc, or planchet, and is a term descended from the days when the dies were struck with hammers to deform the metal into the image of the dies."
As this process is super fast with great forces involved, quite often the Dies can become loose, or rotate. Thus stamping the obverse or reverse of the coin at a different angle to the opposite side.
Such errors are supposed to be picked up by Quality Control but, as we said, thousands of coins are produced a day and many can escape detection.
Most aren't particularly valuable but they certainly are quirky to own. Worth looking out for, especially if on a Commemorative. Hope this helps 👍
Great explanation 👍
Thanks sir for your advice on the rotation error on the roundel I'll contact you on Facebook with a video or photos
