Thanks Bing for leading us out of DAD into new CGG territory. Always fun to see where the instrument takes you in a different tuning.

Thanks! Near-constant practice and playing helps loads!

Thanks Bing! Love the 1-5-5 tuning. Started out that way (DAA), went to DAd because "everybody is tuning that way" (and lots of music is written for DAd). Years later I revisited DAA (and CGG) and I just love it. And the key of C is much better for me to sing with. Anything you feel led to teach on 1-5-5 - I'm all ears!!!! I don't know what I don't know!

Thanks, Jill! I'll be circling back around to 1-5-5 and C tuning in a bit. The current track through scale degrees and chords seems to be popular, so I'm rolling with it for a little bit.

Hey Bing, love the tutorial. But that T-Shirt is killer. Love it!

Thanks! Haha - if you're driving through Missouri and see these billboards, you just HAVE to stop and try some of this fudge - it's actually really good!

I find this tuning very interesting for sure. I may tune my DAD to the CGG some rainy day and give it a try.

It's a great tuning and easy on the hands - hope you get to try it (don't know what rainfall is like in your area.)

As a piano player new to the dulcimer, this makes a bit more sense to me. CGG I’ll try it!

Awesome! As someone who came from piano to dulcimer myself, this was a good easy entry into "getting" the mountain dulcimer. Have fun!
