Kabal really needed more screen time. His voice acting behind the mask was crazy good. And his speed effects were almost perfect for his type of speed powers.

Agree. Also it's a reptile that gets invisible. BUT the reptiles are a people from another realm so another reptile can come back. He can die in every movie and still come back.

Their world, Zaterra, was annexed by Outworld, so it doesn't exist anymore (except as part of Outworld).

Cary wasn’t that frightening either, he just had an awesome presence all around. I didn’t feel it was all necessarily malicious.

He is essentially Earthrealm medieval warlord.
About reptile thing in the movie, I think he is indeed Reptile we know, sadly. Shang Tsung said "Send in the reptilian, Syzoth", which is a canon real name of Reptile.
Hopefully he comes back cause reptile is my second favorite MK character right after Baraka

Yep, Bi Han is already burnt to hell so chances are Noob will appear. Though I wonder if Kuai Liang will appear in the sequel, probably not.
I take Sonya's rating with a grain of salt, she had more sense of leadership than Raiden, and was even more worried about the tournament took out Arcana Kano without hers and activated her Arcana seconds of receiving the dragon mark. Sonya, Kano, Kun Lao and Sub-zero Carried the movie.

Kabal surprised with his lines and move sets in the movie, just like Kano. Funny how the biggest assholes in the movie had the best lines of dialog.

Kung Lao would probably be back in the sequel if Shang Tsung shape-shifts like Liu Kang’s brother in the original.

Sub zero deserves S+ tier. And if they have Kung Lao more screen time I’d say he would belong there as well. I cannot believe how well his actor pulled off the vibe of Kung Lao so perfectly. Perfect movement, perfect attitude.

Sonya in MK Annihilation doesn’t get enough credit, she does all the heavy lifting and fights more than everyone. Fighting main, characters and multiple goons the whole movie and the way her kiss of death was handled was badass.
She actually was good. The whole movie might have been trashy awful good. But it did have better fights than the original

**SPOILER ALERT**
Honestly I don't see why we couldn't see Kung Lao return in a sequel. Remember, at the end of the movie Shang Tsung takes Bi Han suggesting that he will make him into Noob Saibot. If thats the case, we could also see Kung Lao return in his Revenant Form fighting for the other team. Hell, if thats the case, it could even be the same thing for Kabal.

If you think joe taslim is badass in this film then go watch “the night comes for us” on Netflix. It’s honestly way more brutal than the new mk film. Probably the most brutal fighting movie I’ve ever watched. and I honestly hope they use that crew for the next mk film. Maybe even cast Iko Uwais as kuai liang because of his chemistry with joe taslim 🤔.
My tier list would have a tier above everything with just 1995 Shang and 2021 Kano

@@enriquemunoz6415 Miz has the personality of Johnny Cage no doubt. The big problem is that Miz has zero Martial Arts experience & that is a serious dealbreaker, especially when you consider the fact that most of the actors cast in the new MK movie have actual Martial Arts experience.

I think it is because he was only in the film for like a minute and a half and didn't do anything notable like the s and a ranks but didn't do anything stupid or boring like the c and d ranks so b is like a mid not great but not terrible

Add characters from MK: Conquest, MK: Legacy Season 1 & 2, and MK: Legends - Scorpion’s Revenge. They weren’t theatrically released, but they are the live action counterparts and one of the best animated film in a long time.

Here’s a take hotter than a steel playground slide in the middle of July in Phoenix, Arizona. MK Movie Reiko was actually pretty decent, at least in terms of design and whatnot. I’d say he should be at least C tier.

I agree with everything you said except for Lui Kang. I felt like he just didn’t do a lot of big things and his impact wasn’t as strong as Kung Lao’s. He goes in my C tier.
