I’m a recent diehard Larry Bird fan. As a 65 yr old woman who graduated from the University of Kansas in ‘81 it makes little sense where this admiration has come from, yet it’s here. Both he and Magic Johnson have created a love of basketball that I had no idea existed (other than Rock Chalk!).
Hell of a man. We all could learn from. Any boy should strive to learn from 🐦. He works hard, doesn't care what people think, saves $, plans for the future, demands respect..... and so much more
Larry you legend.... RESPECT!! Hope the Joker put a bit of smile on your face.... he has some passing slick taken outta your book. Much appreciation from Fiji LB.
I watched Basketball 🏀 Ball when I was young and when Larry Bird retired from the NBA. I watched maybe 5 more years and I seen enough. I don't watch the NBA PLAYERS TODAY who are a Big JOKE. Everyone standing around the 3 point line 🤣 JOKE. Basketball is a Team Game and should be ashamed of the League for the way it's being played today. 👎
The use of so much "background" music in this completely ruined it for me. Not even 10 minutes in & I'm off to find a different documentary about this great basketball player...& better yet...man.
That’s like comparing apples to oranges. Have Tom Brady play in the 80’s when there was no protection for the qb. Would be a different story. Brady himself would tell you that Joe Montana is the best. You should think about that
@@bryananthony2765 Brady's consistent annual record of Championship-level accomplishment is unequaled by anyone & speaks for itself. It will never be duplicated (14 Conference Championship Games, 10 Super Bowls!!). Quarterbacks remain injured routinely every year in the NFL every year. It's still a very rough Sport.

Thank you for posting this excellent video.
That hug with DJ..... Such a great moment
God I love this man. He is not phased by anyone. He does what will win. And what will help his family. No rest, diehard basketball player
And in those lonely hours as he honed his skills. He would find the essence of the game. And in many ways of himself.
My dad loved Larry ❤
One of my all time favorite nba players while growing up in the 80's. Thanks for posting this.🏀
So humble. And we'll grounded. He does what he wants. No matter what the opportunity
True GOAT
This video is EXCELLENT!! I loved it!!!!
“Cinderella was still at the ball and versus Arkansas in the regional finals, midnight was nowhere in sight.” Such a great tape. I had this in 1991.
Me too. Such emotion put into this. Made me tear up
I did too
Larry makes you want to be a better person...
Lots of goats only one legend!
Wonderful Doc, Excellent Player

Best basketball player of all time 🏀🍀
Celtic pride legend - Russel, havlicek, bird, Pierce
Best basket doc ever.
@13:21 - "I knew 'em all my life, an' I - I'm still grateful they gave me the job." - Larry Bird
The character of Larry Joe Bird in a nutshell.
I'd take a short career with his heart. Rather than a flop fest 20 year career... the MF GOAT 🐐
Nice vid. Can you upload forever Fenway: 75 years of redsox baseball? I want to know more about the history of the Red Sox.
I can try. I have been uploading a lot of old sports documentaries and they keep getting blocked.
I think at 35:42 is from 1985 finals. The basketball net is different
#sAuCeMALONE 🏀
No more layups 😂🎉
This is the same documentary--except a little on the short side:

What Larry Bird did for about 7 years with the Celtics ..... Tom Brady did (and more) in the NFL for 22 Years!
Think about that!

You must be under 40 years of age lol
Not the same thing at all kid; the structure of those 2 sports is entirely dissimilar. You're equating apples to french fries, not oranges.
Brady had modern medicine helping him out... The NBA game in the 80's was more physical than the NFL in the 10's
