As soon as there was dialogue, I was like: "Is that Christopher Lloyd? I'll look it up."
And there is apparently no information online about who is in this game. Even the wiki dedicated to King's Quest treats it like this far-off thing that's not out yet.
So I go back to watch this vid again, and Dan just confirms it's Christopher Lloyd five seconds after I paused it. Oops.
Xarazel I searched for King's Quest on google. Then I had to specify it was this version. Then I looked for a cast listing, anywhere. Nothing came up.
Alex Hill It is Christopher Lloyd, I finished the chapter and he was in the credits as Old Graham. :)
Alex Hill IMDB does video games too, I typed Kings Quest into the search bar and Christopher Lloyd's name was like the first thing I saw.

I believe he was going to say it's episodic and no physical release as of yet. Once all the episodes are released, sometime in 2016, Sierra stated they may have a physical release if the demand is there.

I doubt that he knows of it but for me the main downside is that I payed for a homestuck game kickstarter by the author himself. The Odd Gentlemen were assigned to develop the game but instead used the money given to them to produce this because they were broke and sierra was offering a better payment if they got the product done.
I like both games/series but what the developers did was not fair.

Okay as a fan of the Sierra Steam Train playthoughs and of Homestuck. This video gives me mixed emotions, but instead of trying to get this game boycotted or convince people it was made with ill-gotten money; how about you guys (Any combo on the GG channel) just play Hiveswap when it's released? I'm sure you'll enjoy it and then it'll get gain some popularity.

Well, there is this werbcomic called homestuck,. that is pretty good, do'nt listen the douches that hate it just because of the fandom, and well, it made a crownfunding to make a game. it received 2000000 dollars, and Andrew Hussie, the author, contracted TOG to make the game. they did nothing ,and stole 700000 dollars to put in King's quest.
This information came from a close friend of Andrew Hussie, so it's doubtful is a fake information.
It's also not the first time TOG is accused of something bad.
IIn these times with the rest of the money Hussie made his own studio to make the game hiveswap
I just wish atleast Dan would play the full game. He really seems to have a love for King's Quest games and I really believe he would have a wonderful time playing the whole thing

He just asked his (probably now former) co-worker to take it down, and never said it wasn't true; despite the huge controversy it caused.
Knowing Andrew, if it wasn't true. He would have said so outright. That's the kind of person he is. Hes had a history with false viral tumblr posts, and hes debunked them if they concerned him or his work negatively.
The fact that he made no effort to say the post was false; means it wasn't made up. She stated he was under a non-disclosure agreement, firstly. And various news posts Andrew has posted on the MSPA site about his ordeals with the game and webcomic pauses, line up perfectly with what was leaked to the public with that post.

The creator of the webcomic Homestuck made a kikstarter to make a videogame based of the comic and they funded over one million (or more) dollars. They gave the money to "The Odd Gentleman", the developers of this game. They couldn't do it and they wasted a lot of the money in this game without asking Andrew Hussie, the creator of Homestuck. They stole the money, in some way. That made the comic stop for one full year beause of the legal "battles" between them.
Do you guys love a game made out of stolen money? Because for that, I won't watch this video or get the game.

Sorry, but that's all a lie. The Tumblr post gave no proof, so there's no reason to believe it. The comic stopped well before Hussie said TOG was going to make this game, not after (The Tumblr post also lies about how long TOG was working on it, claiming eight months, despite Hussie and TOG both saying it was only 3-4). There were no legal battles, because Hussie still has the money. If he really did just sign over millions of dollars without insuring the game would be made, then Hussie is the dumbest man alive. So, at this point, you're calling Hussie an idiot for giving away 2 million dollars, or an idiot for not knowing how to develop a game, because he still has the money.

Dekal the comic was stopped before, yes, but Hussie's reportedly had a shitty and stressful year and the pause took much longer than it was supposed to, with many months being spent working on "not the comic."

There's no "Looks like THIS fellow had a bone to pick with the dragon" when looking at a random skeleton or "The title says '1001 ways to effortless kill a dragon', too bad it's been ruined by damp and mould" when looking at a book.
No, you're completely correct. I've finished the first chapter of this game in its entirety, and you really won't find any of that here. It's definitely unfortunate, but it's still an amazing game nonetheless.

I dunno if you know but this game was made with stolen money. The Odd Gentlemen were partnering with What Pumpkin studios to work on the game Hiveswap, but they failed to even make one working level. Then they ran off with a big portion of the money (Which was KICKSTARTER money, meaning it was other people's money who donated to the Hiveswap kick starter) and used the stolen money to make this game. What Pumpkin is now having to use whatever money was left to continue making Hiveswap
So happy Dan and Ross are playing another King's Quest :D I loved watching the first two they played.
Please do more, my loves. These were the best sequences of all Steam Train.
