Come back loved and appreciated and admired. Just like Odysseus. Just like the men who go fight in battles and wars. Just like the men who went out and hunted for their people. The men who get up everyday and go to work to provide. Itâs kinda how weâve always been. Weâre just not appreciated anymore.

I think a big reason why men are not glorified after coming home from work anymore, is because women are now doing the same thing, but with more resistance and discrimination, AND holding the home together. Women see the ego and entitlement (for praise and adoration) that men have for doing the same thing or even less, and are losing respect for men. The bare minimum for men now is to actually be good at work AND come home and help with kids and housework, AND then show respect for their partners who have been doing that all along.

When my four children were younger, a friend flew me out to Hawaii to hang out with her for a week.
