Yes Maame Grace, one 17yrs girl came to our facility with her new born baby and her mother said she went to farm and came back and saw her daughter delivered by herself so they want us to check if everything is okay with the baby. They are komkomba,s and all they eat is green leaves soup and tz and they take their herbs seriously and it’s all from their own farm ❤

Our labour’s wife delivered in my mother’s room at 1:00 dawn my mother went to call a man in the village who assist in delivery to come and cut the cord and help the placenta to come, she didn’t go to hospital but she’s even stronger than I who delivered at hospital 😢
Yes, i think it's the case. They want to reduce the black population. We need to go back to the herbs they used before. As ghanain, we trust the akwasi broni too much and have limited our minds not to think for ourselves. As a people, we need to ask questions, always.

I always think about this issue and its happening every day in our hospitals., then lets have our babies in our own homes??? I believe that is better than going to hospital that’s my opinion it is true those days every house I remember my grandmother our fathers used to deliver our babies for us easily,,now they said hospital is the better to have our babies and is the worse place to have our children,.I think we should go to back and look at all this things and go back for herbs and start treating our ourselves and our families earlier will be the solution,.
My just end girlfriend was a student nurse in her final year last year, i have been talking about our drugs, medication and the rapid cs in our system. Early this year we had to break because I like our local way including our food and she is not at that side because she is modern 😅. Maame Ahuofe papabi, thank you for sharing always. Our traditional health practitioners can come together and petition the president or health minister with their challenges and solutions with the way they have been sidelined because I tell you their medical procedures are the best. Enve though there are crooks among them.

I remember vividly when we had Kyem pɛ way back in Ekumfi Otuam and also my grandma was traditional midwife and helps the entire village by giving natural birth without any problems. Maame Grace. I think the best way to preserve our herbal medicine is to dry them and have them in a shop like a pharmacy or local shops; where people will be trained to know what they are used for birth or any illness Instead of using modern medicine, that does not benefit us at all.

Here in the states,they schedule me immediately I turned 16 weeks…saying my placenta was anterior…. I put my hands on my belly and spoke to my baby and at 21 weeks,the placenta moved away but they still maintain the CS date….secondly,they’re making me use insulin cos of gestational diabetes and I react so bad to the insulin but they claim it’s the only way to help the baby not develop any deformity…I wish there are herbs I can use cos me di3 me sa paaaa even here,me sa😢…. They say I’m above 30 so it’s high risk pregnancy….hmmm

Untrained traditional birth attendants could do delivery without any problems. While we claim to have progressed with technology, the state of affairs in our societies has deteriorated over time. It's sad that if a woman gets pregnant, everyone is worried until the child comes. It's sad.
