I’m sold! Thinking of buying two kits come spring as soon as concrete is in the shop I had built just for these builds! Doing 33’ truck and mrk4
My dream car would be a Daytona Coupe... but with a posh interior treatment, to turn it into a luxury Grand Touring.
I'd find a rusty mk4 supra and try to see if I could use it's dash and door panels to make the ultimate interior/exterior vehicle. honest perfection.
Dreamin of building one for many years.... some day...
I would love to have such a good kit car but based on the Toyota 2000GT or 300SL gullwing...
I want a Cobra DAMNIT!!
Love the cars available by these guys.
Handle stop and go as good as they look.
Love the cobra and the 33 great job guys :-)
Even though i am from Australia, i don't have time to sit there and build a car, but i love the idea on how these replica cars are out for people who cannot afford the real thing
We do have builders we work with. If you have more questions feel free to email info@factoryfive.com
i got my eyes on the gtm but also the other one next to it looked pretty cool aswell
as soon as I finish med school, you will get my first check! So pumped to do this with my son!
you need to build a GT40 Mk IV ! ! ! or an 05 GT.
Yeah, I'd personally prefer the 05. It was built as a road car. The gt40 and latest ones are pure racers. It's the little things that add up lol.
Gotta catch em all!
I LOVE IT!!!! I AGREE WITH YOU 100%!!!! THAT IS WHAT LIFE IS ALL ABOUT!!!!! GREAT VIDEO & THANKS FOR SHARING!!!!
If ever get to live in USA I will custom build a Factory Five Daytona to be my daily!
the next time you make a promotional vid can you tell your editor to take more time balancing out the sound? please
Wow, what a great video...
Any idea of a old charger kit car?
I’d like to see some old 60’s muscle replicas. Like a 1969 Dodge Charger for instance.
how long does it take from start to finish.just about got enough saved up for engine brakes, lets all the parts. I'm getting so excited that i'll have my money to build my own car. one more ? will I be able to drive it the winter cause I live in Canada, please say yes or my dream is shot to hell . its taken me 9 years to and got a little more to go.then you guys add a couple of more bodies , making my chooses even harder , murphy sakes lol .
Are they good to get number plates im europe
Do you have to use a V8? I would love a 2.3 turbo in a cobra, really make it like an old AC. Maybe even cut the fender flairs off and make it a narrow body with smaller tyres.
you could use a 2.3l just need the engine mounts moved they also make the 289 cobra which has the narrower body
the MK IV is my dream car, but my first wife made sure that's all it will ever be: a dream
What engine you use for this car?
Well now I have to get one.
So how does it work if you want to then mod the engine. Can you install a pro charger kit like you normally would since the engine location had changed from the car its meant for from the donor cars
If supercharger fits, supercharger can sits.
I mean putting it on will be a question, and then emissions will be another. But otherwise yeah your car fit what you want.
How safe are they to drive
Can u send a book n list on a cobra Kiki asap
i wonder if these cars are any good at crashtest.. or are they gonna crumble up like pop can
I hope to own a Factory Five car
I am in Oceania... that's Australia and New Zealand (with some of the Pacific Islands in the mix).
We are RHD down here. There’s also some requirements for sound and gas polution controls (rear pipes with mufflers rather than side pipes with NOISE).
Do you have any crash safety ratings? Have you ever done any crash testing analysis of your vehicles?
Can your kits include any of the following: ESC, ABS, Electronic Fuel Management, Airbags?
I know that there are Caterham Lotus 7 replicas built in New Zealand as turnkey drive away roadsters (also available as DIY kits)... so there's obviously scope for compliance flexibility.
I live on a farm property out of Melbourne OZ, and last week an entire Chorus of Cobras cruised past my front gate. Awesome. They're a rare, burbling breed but can sometimes be seen in the wild.
We do have a bunch of customers in Australia and New Zealand, and have helped them get the information needed on our chassis to help import and title the cars in the countries. We do not have options like ABS or airbags, and if you email us at info@factoryfive.com, we can help you get the info you need as you plan out your build.
So what if we were unable to be able to build it? Could we hire someone from FactoryFive to build it for us or what?
Find a local wrench that you trust and can build it and bring him your parts OR just buy a built one, there are plenty used ones for sale.
99% sure you have to prove how much mechanical skill you have before you build a badass fuckin' old school racecar with tools and parts from the ground up
F5, please make a four-seater. Porsche 356 would be my choice: stretched 6" or so to make it a true 4 seater instead of a 2+2. I'd buy one today.
AWD Cobra, or any of the bodies you make, options for AWD donor cars like Subaru. Just saying, it would open up these to a whole new world.
True...but they eliminated the AWD when they moved the engine location...
I agree that AWD could be an Awesome Option...but it greatly complicates everything...from chassis design changes to added weight and transfer cases and proportioning system and so on... Not the stuff for DIY home-builders.
How much to pro builders charge on top of the base?
You'd really need to ask the pro-builder on what they charge as each builder charges a little bit differently.
1:29 i have the same speaker
Saludos desde Colombia bogota like
how much does it cost for that cobra?
Aldrin Jaketyu Arcamoh it costs the cobra a lot espacialy if you would be the driver
I live in Minnesota, so there’ll be snow. It’ll be more interesting if they can build 4wd & Awd Rally kit chassis, which is similar to Subaru and Mitsubishi, that can be use not just on Track racing only, but off road Rally racing. Especially winter seasons. Suspension can swap from OEM to after market suspension coil over. I’m sure some of us not just want a daily drive car, but a race car as our daily drive for all 4 seasons, Spring, Summer, Fall, and Winter.
57' VW bug- please
me gustan los shelby cobra.
I have tried 3 times to get a brochure?
We are current making updates to our info pack, and will be shipping them out to all requests as soon as the new print material is in stock. Sorry for the delay! We'll get your info pack sent out to you ASAP. if you have any other questions, please contact us at info@factoryfive.com. Thanks!
imagine you guys add the vintage Ferrari models.
Why cant i import a complete kit of the 33 ford into Canada? That makes me not want to do it? WTF
Hi Darren - Totally understand your concern. We have replied to your e-mail you sent us as well with information on importing one of our kits into Canada. Thanks!

Wareham...
What would it take to design a XKE type of sports car ?
Our engineers are busy working on other projects, and I haven't heard them discussing potentially offering an XKE kit. They'd want to see what they could bring to the chassis design and then shaping the body for the chassis would take some time as well.
Xk120 kit
Beautiful cars.
It would be cool to see you start on some modern classics for those of us in our 40s now.
I’m thinking Toyota and Mazda, like the old Celica-Supra, RX3 and early 7s … not just American muscle. Please! Oh and RHD too, I’m in NZ.
How much is a pre built gtm
+Sam Gillam Hello Sam, we don't build turn key cars. If you don't have time to build your own car, you can give us a call and we can give you the name of a pro builder that can build a car for you. 508-291-3443 Greg
Do they make electric cars
Toyota 2000GT Kit please?
LonewolfSaichi God that would be awesome. Too bad Toyota wouldn't ever let it happen.
Gullwing please now!!!!!
Yes! Factory 5 :x în Transilvania it's not legal to asambled your car...so. ..why I love sua?for this!good job
kits future will be modular from frame, bodies, propulsion, electric, or hydraulic power, fuel less or even flying
this is real university
I wonder if anyone has tried to do an electric factory five. I know EV West does conversions of ICE cars, so it seems like it should be a no brainer to do an electric kit car, for example with the 818 instead of using the Subaru engine, maybe sub in the guts from a wrecked Tesla?
Peter Kacandes I think EV West now has an electric conversion for the 818.
If I didn’t work all the time I would order one already but I don’t have time. Then again..:ion need need my job😂
If someone wants to convert an 818 into a Porsche 908/2 or 3 replica, I have some well thought out ideas to share with you. I can't do it myself but I would love to see someone else do it.
modular design is next step so robot repair
it should get fund from department of education
The only thing that bothers me about factory five cars is they greatly lack underbody aerodynamics. Every single one I see has gaping holes under the car and all the scaffolding is exposed. You'd think as a space-frame design, they'd provide some kind of flat belly panels to make it as slippery as the exotics they're competing against.
the fact that nobody had input on this crucial component of performance driving is telling of the demographic who wants this car. they're image monkeys - not car guys.
lol yall but pls make something like a lambo veneno kit with a very very powerfull engine:) even if its 60grand ill buy it!
It's about making money... Let's be honest...
"Indonesia Pelit". (Not Freedom).
Ngerti Kan. Ya Freedom Di Amerika.
Factory Five and EV West need to hook up and develop an EV Cobra Kit car with 4 wheel drive and a switch that turns the front wheel drive unit off so it is just 2 wheel drive. Its the future. Should just start working toward it now.
You guys seriously need to add a GT40 to the lineup. The ones currently on the market are priced too rich for the common guy.
I second this. Please!
