Since it's predominantly a Starkey track being used I would call it 'Street Bass'. Starkey and Dev79 love that term and I think it's a great umbrella term for a lot of bass driven electronic music.

Time-code vinyl absolutely counts. It is actual mixing as well, and it is actual scratching. It's about the technique, process and the artistry - the medium is the music, not what the music is or is not printed on. You're hating on the wrong DJs.
