Israel Adesanya has a very playful personality that has turned disrespectful, from shooting arrows at Alex Pereira when he knocked him out, to what he did to Paulo Costa. Here we see the same disrespect shown by a fighter who seems to have imitated Israel Adesanya in MMA.

But since they can, it's part of the entertainement then that gives the right to the other fighter to do this kind of celebration imo. It should never be done (is never done i think) when fighters respect each others beforehand

Someone might do something to celebrate in the heat of the moment that they then get punished for when they had no ill intention. Its just not enforcable

I fully agree. Just imagine Fedor doing this back in the day. Never in a million years. I use him as an example because he was one of the most respectful fighters to ever grace the sport. This behavior is just juvenile and gross.

When people talk about modern MMA, compared to the days of old, when the styles were all separate, they likely discuss the great leaps forward in technique.
I would pose the greatest loss I see in modern MMA, which is a lack of respect. For yourself, and for your opponent.
The trash talk, the posturing, and the lack of respect are the things I like the least about it.
Having said that, we're still in a golden age and can still recover from this lack of respect.
