I think Tata should not merge Vistara and Air India Express Airlines with Air India. What they can do is differentiate these three airlines, like:
    - Air India should be more of an expensive airline for those who want an ultra-luxury experience on international flights. The price of tickets should be between ₹55,000 to ₹5,00,000+.
    - Vistara should be for those who want a luxurious experience on domestic and some international flights on a limited budget. The price of tickets should be between ₹10,000 to ₹15,000 for domestic and ₹20,000 to ₹80,000 for international flights.
    - Air India Express should be a budget or low-cost carrier for those who want cheap tickets to compete with airlines like IndiGo, SpiceJet, etc.

The number of pilots is higher than required.. And the irony is that the basic pay of pilots is not much.. They get paid only when they fly.. When a pilot can legally fly upto 80 hours per month if you are asking him to fly only for 40 hours you basically have twice the number of pilots you need.. How many of them will go on a strike.. Even if all of them go on a strike.. An airline will 'wet lease' aircraft ( like in this cease) from other airlines with its entire crew.. And dry lease (without crew) its aircraft to other airlines. In 90s the salary of pilots was 4 or 5 times the equivalent aviation engineer. In mid 2000 it's was 3 times today it's not that much higher.. Than that of an engineer.. So demand and supply.. You can go to DGCA websites and see how many aircrafts are there in the country and also see how many pilots are there in the country.. And google the minimum number of pilots recruits required to high efficiently operate that aircraft.. You will find reasoning for my explanation.

My dear friend, let me state some facts for you.
      1. In case of any emergency like an engine failure or a rapid decompression or any major emergency who do you think makes sure that the aircraft lands safely? The pilot does.
      2. Since an aircraft flies on autopilot who do you think makes sure the autopilot does its job correctly? The pilot does.
      3. In order for an autopilot to work it has to be fed with information. Who do you think tells the autopilot what to do? The pilot does.
      4. Who do you think has to be aware and awake every moment of the flight? The pilot has to.
      5. Pilots have to be proficient in their job and also the odd timings of their flying. Whether it be a day flight or an afternoon one or a night one.
      6. Pilot have to be updated on their knowledge 24/7 and also they have tests every 6 months to check their flying skills.

The Tata Group should also consider giving Air India and Air Express pilots 70 hours per month plus variable pay. To offset this additional cost, the company could explore reducing the salaries of their airline business's top management in the corporate office.

The people in the top management are more valuable than the Pilots. We can get great pilots pretty easily. But the management staff who are absolutely great are rare. So their salary won't be cut. Pilots also get additional benefits other than salary. Plus they don't have to fly longer now.
If they don't agree there is no dearth of pilots in India. Infact there are more pilots in India than planes.

Fly technology to fly is similar to all. Streamline with effective communications is best approach. Acceptance- Long run perks or some kind of value added stuff. Denied- Should be zero scope in fact where everyone has to be respected. Empathy is always sits on top rated to everyone. Thanks

If Tata needs to go diabolical then, Tata can accept the demands of the vistaara pilots. Start the functioning and commence mass hiring of yhe pilots in lower salary, increase salaries of Air India pilots to slightly higher level so that they don't leave. Layoff the pilots with high end salaries post mass hiring.
Else if they want to go soft then balance out the salary components of both vistara and air India to a compromising level by increasing budget.
