It’s easy to counter, if they go middle first, block corners, if they go corner, block the out section, if they go outer section, then they don’t know how to play the game
this made me chuckle
If they put the X in the middle it’s guaranteed to be a tie if you play it right so it means there’s no way to lose with this strategy you either win or tie
Of course, the strategy relies on going first, so you can play a game of Tic-tac-toe to decide who goes first.

Yea everyone tries that strat so I always go middle first
@@daytondeveau499 even if you go middle a similar strategy should work:
1. you go top right corner
2. they block middle right away
3. you go bottom right corner
4. they block middle right
5. you go bottom left corner
6. they block middle left
7. you go top left corner
8. they can only block one out of two open options, you win.

I remember learning this as a kid and I thought i was a genius but in reality most people I played with also knew the strategy so the satisfaction wore off quickly.

Yeah as long as they don’t pick the center box on their first turn after you. If they do then it’s a push. So remember, if you go second and they picked a corner then you go center and at least you won’t lose.

Here’s another strat, so you can put your piece in the top right corner, you need to hope that the opponent doesn’t go on the upper area of the board, so, bottom left, one above, the bottom row, one above bottom right, those are all places that you want the opponent to go, then, you place your next piece in the centre of the board, they will then place their piece in the bottom left to block you, and then you place your piece in the top left, then you have two ways of which you can place your piece. I accidentally discovered this while playing against an ai and it felt so good, I hope that helps! I think that strat works more effectively as there are more spaces of which the opponent can place their piece. If they place their piece in the top left corner though, you can do the strategy that dido showed in this short, good luck to the tic-Tac-toe players!

still a decent method for winning a large majority of games. edit : nope, after testing even this is wrong. this is an uncounterable strategy.
@@Virginiareaper right, well I'm built different then. Also I don't think you understand. Say you put x on top right, player 2 would put circle in the middle. Then player 1 would put x bottom left. Player 2 has already counted the diagonal victory so player 2 places circle just to the right of the middle. Player 1 puts x bottom right and player 2 just follows with a counter just below the middle point. GG. The game is a draw

That would still just end in a draw. As long as you go first and go corner, you either win or draw every time

my dad taught me this when i was little, still use it to this day, and still works every time. 💚
Here some tips:
-You only have high win chance if you start and your oponent dont know when there is traps
-if you didnt start place It in middle if the oponent already took the middle spot then take the corner

near impossible to win but easy to draw, just put your symbol in the middle circle

If you go on a corner and they go anywhere other than center you win if not it’s a tie and if you go in the center and they play anything other than a corner you win. Against any average player the only way to win would be on a side cus it’s harder to figure out that strategy
I knew this since I was a kid, there are many variations of this 100% winrate, tho if your opponent goes to the middle, it'll be a tie, so if you go second, go in the middle.

So my friend and i had a little competition with Tic Tac Toe. The very first game he used this strategy and i somehow figured out a counter to the strategy solely relying on how much they were paying attention. This lasted for about 2 or 3 months with us just coming up with new strategies and counters and by some luck i ended up winning the whole thing. No prize, just bragging rights

Put your x in the middle, if your opponent put the 0 in a corner, put your x in the opposite one. After that, if your opponent put their 0 in a square near their previous 0, you can cover it and you have won
