the Thala may not have the stan, damage, or the hp, but it does have the superior air mobility, a smaller frame, which is great for darting through trees, and the ability to swim. ngl i try and lure the Hatz in crater to sharptooth marsh for this very reason but unfortunately all the Hatz i try to get to follow me have brains
From what I remember, Hatz cannot do any water take-offs, but Thala can. So best just lure a Hatz into the water where it cannot get onto land fast, and then just fight them in the water.
This was so bittersweet, that Hatz got what it deserved lol 😂 good work, I was hoping you would go into the water at crater when it was coming to you but going outside of crater for that was definitely wayyy better. 🙌

That hatz didn't play it smart at all🤣 I kill thal all the time on my hatz it's like 2 shot so basically a free meal but that was smart on your part because the best way for a thal to avoid hatz and not die is to use water to your advantage! If you get that hatz to mess up and fall in the water, it's a dead hatz, but if you stay in the air, it's a dead thal

Yes, but Hatz has it rough when it comes to getting into the air. Thalasso can do it easily with its small size while Hatz, as an azdarchid, needs a bigger runway area before it can properly take-off, but if you go for the subspecies that has the decrease to flight stamina drain along with preened feathers, you can fly for a while before you need to land to rest.
Why did the hatz not at least try to turn around in the water and give you 1 or 2 attacks? He could have easily positioned his back to the rocks or something.
Meanwhile when it comes to the seas, there's Kaiwhekea and Eurhinosaurus (Tylosaurus and Leedsicthys don't count as they've yet to join the basegame roster) it must contend with for the right to fish without being made their scraps themselves.
Ngl I only really started playing hatz to kill thal cuz of the damn call they do it urks be so bad but that hatz definitely got what he deserved cringe asf for using the albino skin and being trash at pvp
