honestly, the way that john balances his towers is by making it REALLY expensive. for example, going for max jug in bottom path is (in a majority of circumstances) worse than just spamming 2-4s.
You just completely forgot 3 things. Jugg has low range so that wouldn't be very possible on like 80% of the maps in tdx, it takes up a lot of space, and it will be hard to fit all of your jugg in range of support.
I think you forgot to mention that Golden Ranger is also heavily practical in every mode, especially for early-game in Intermediate and Expert since he gets 'Ignore Bullet Resistance' from lvl 0-0. So techinically it's a mix-up of a, duh-ranger and Laser Gunner. In the other hand, G-Juggernaut is just Heavy with godly armor and $400 dollar cartridges that incinerates any living being.
Then why the fuck does LG not gain ignore bullet resistance at base lv it's called LASER gunner but it's base lv does not get bullet penetration until 2-0
i feel like both paths for golden ranger need to be buffed. top path should have much bigger range (come on, over half the tower’s name is range), and bottom path uses the underbarrel to shoot fire grenades, like regular ranger, and remove it from the stun grenade. that, or they add ability key-binds so you don’t have to click on each individual tower (which i know for a fact tdx will have at some point). both paths ARE good, they just don’t have any fit into the overall gameplay.
Ngl I was so down bad for golden juggernaut and I decided to grind the day before the update and was able to get to 71k before the update dropped (I had 10k beforehand)
to be honest, I would go for golden juggernaut, because of the shop unlock price is about 6 times as expensive than normal juggernaut HOWEVER golden ranger's shop unlock price is 38500x more expensive that the normal one, so technically, golden ranger is way over priced so I recommend getting golden juggernaut first cuz it's easier to get
also if you just do 4 days of endless grind 3 times a day (if you had exactly 0 cash) you can get gold jug so its pretty easy grinding for it if you dont get bored, golden ranger can be gotten in like 5 endless rounds so 1 day and 2 hours, in total you just have to do 12 rounds of endless so like 12 hours of grinding isnt bad since you're spreading it evenly throughout the week
