Washington Today (5-17-24): House bill says defund police calls leads to violence against officers

As National Police Week comes to a close, the U.S. House passes a resolution that “condemns calls to defund the police, which has increased violence towards law enforcement officers.”
President Joe Biden commemorates the 70th anniversary of the Supreme Court's 1954 Brown v. Board of Education decision that ruled public school segregation unconstitutional, telling the audience at the National Museum of African American History & Culture, “We have a whole group of people out there trying to rewrite history, trying to erase history.”
