You are literally a lifesaver and just earned a sub. This has been such a stressful experience and I feel like shit from this but thanks to this method I was able to complete it 2nd attempt. Thanks so much for this 🙏🏻😭

Funny, seems like nobody likes this challenge except the world record holders and nobody's going to plant them this except for like 10 nerds on ritalin and adderall abusing themselves not drinking water and ruining their employment and relationships what a shit game. Having the end of something be complete trash makes the whole thing trash look at game of thrones
Nobody wants to watch again just like nobody's going to want to play this again. I hope I'm not stupid enough to buy part 3 which is where these battles should have been in not part 2 where we have a half-ass setup and barely can use our materia and do like no damage with Max stats I don't consider 15,000 damage really that special in a cheese it should be 45,000 to 99,000

Few recommendations to make the run more doable.
1. Put ATB assist on Barret so you can take advantage of the skill. It doesn't work on Yuffie because Brumal Form doesn't trigger it.
2. Put Enemy Skill on Barret where you can use Rancid Breath on enemies when you're not sure what skill to use when ATB is full.
3. Try to get Barrier and Regen up during the Sephiroth Phase. Even it you got chained, the survival rate is higher for you to set up the fight. Once you stun lock him, it's more manageable to finish him.
And for the love of God, put down an Arcane Ward on Aerith.
I already beat it, but I'm watching this and internally screaming at the screen.
Thanks and works for me but i tried for one day long, some tips: in the 2nd and 3thd battle run to the left, behind barret, not just behind because sometimes aerith recives damage and ruin your first spell.
i used in yuffie that accesory that bring you limit break when cast PM, when you are in stuck problems with Gilgamesh and sephiroth i used the limit break, that gives to party, time to heal or arise or firaga timecast.
for shadowy chains, pff...try to spam and move with yuffie and pray XD, octaslash can be dodged, Firaga will cancel the shadowy chain pre-animation so try to launch it ever before.
at the beggining with sephiroth, go right behind and block or parry him.
i used with all battles that weapon hability of yuffie to trowh his crescent sickle, so effective and bring more Atb.

Nice strategy. Worked for me, although I wouldn't say it's quite free. Though when you get the hang of it, it's good. I would suggest Speed Demon Keychain over Hermes Shoes for Yuffie (You're already getting haste from Barret anyway)
I agree that it'd be really nice to see the build behind it, because this might be my saving grace.

FINALLY I did it, I was able to block one of Seph‘s attacks cuz he didn‘t throw the BS orb and that gave me enough time for the whole setup, thank God, this took me 5 days jeeez
What sucks most is that is he gets you in that orb you basically lose 10+ min of gameplay, bitch ass game
Tip: if you equip Yuffie Speed Demon Chain accessory , you'll get an infinite ATP and spamming Brumel Form without any problems
Does it bug out for you too sometimes? I noticed seemingly at random I'll stop getting ATB as Yuffie

Thanks for the build it took me a few time but I finally beat it I changed Aerith a bit do I give her the Timeless Rod for the Fire Damage up and replace the Wind & Lighting + MP Absorption with Fire + Magic Focus so are Firaga dose more damage so I could go through the fights faster + I give Barret an Empowerment Materia to cast Faith on to Aerith for some more damage.
Few things for people trying this:
-put down Arcane Ward, it takes two seconds and cuts the time in half
-Put Empowerment on Barrett and cast Faith on Aerith
-Instead of just spamming Maximum Fury, mix it up with some Firagas or put Synergy=Comet on Barrett, so he casts Comet for free whenever you use ATB abilities/spells
There is an accessory that allows Yuffie not only not to waste the ATB bar in this way, but to fill it.

I was mad when I commented on this a little more relaxed because Cloud darkside can do 40K Infinity end red and Barrett can be support or I can use doppelganger synergy I'm trying to figure that one out
THIS is the best method to do this challenge, do it first try. sephirtoh is realy with this, every firaga launch him in the hair so you can spam util he die
Holy moly after 13 tries I finally got a win. Shadow chains sucks but Aerith came in the clutch and blocked 3 times. Stagger, summon odin and good riddance
Am I the only one that’s having a difficult time pulling off the Yuffie Trick? The Summons always manage to hit her somehow and everyone else runs around the field and never where I need them in the Arcane Ward.

It's worth giving Barret the Prayer Materia because he gets attacked A LOT, this way he doesn't run out of MP and he's always got two ATB thanks to Yuffie.
Also Odin sometimes ignores Lifesaver.
guys, so far this strategy is the only one that allows me to get AT LEAST until sep... (I assure you that I have tried ALL of them, I have been stuck on this challenge for at least 25 hours, I swear it's absurd... )I wanted to ask you for advice on how to defeat Sep before abandoning the game for good... I try to follow the guide but every time my PCs get blocked by his purple blades and screw up my strategy, is there anything I can do? I'm not particularly skilled at parries so I really don't know how to do it... thanks to anyone who can help a poor now resigned final fantasy fan

Hes spamming umbral form to gain atb to his allies using atb assist materia
Its so weird, I try to follow these steps and Aerith dies almost instantly, Kujata bucks both Barret and Aerith and I can't get ATB ward off and it just goes downhill from there. I guess I am going to just have to get good
Yeah first battle is Where you can fail get atb ward easily, you can wait When enemies done the first attack or try get atb ward immediately
You have to wait 5 seconds and let kujjata attack aerith and barret and once you see they won't be interrupted. Immrdielty cast atb from aerith on yuffie and then right after haste on barret with magnify once their both out of aj attack. Then as yuffie quickly build atb. Put lifesaver on barret and then use pray as barret repeadlty and only attacks as aerith with fire spell. But repeatedly use pray as it heals the entire party to 2000hp when level 5. I used pray probably 10-15 times each round every time barret gets down to 5-6k health. Basically set up the brumal atb ward spam fire and spells as aerith, lifesaver on barret and spam pray as barret so he never dies.
Why Yuffie health can recover suddenly ?

It's a pretty good tactic, but I just can't get past sephiroth, shadowy chains fuck me up
One question, is your swiftcast materia maxed? From what I'm seeing you're sort of avoiding the issue by perma-stunning him with firaga, but I can't quite seem to get the loop going
Also does the ATB Ward bug out for you too? Sometimes it just stops working, basically I stop getting ATB from my teammates as yuffie, which demolishes my tactics
You're running out a haste and if you take too long to kill a boss you have to re cast haste as barret. If you run out of haste yuffie won't Build atb fast enough in brumal form.
No my swiftcast is 2star, and I never see that atb bug

Just beat them, use phoenix with sephiroth, I had him at 30% health and he was about to wipe me n ma squad but phoenix healed us and I finished him off
How did you hit phoenix with blizzard for 17000 damage in my game aeirth barely hits Phoenix for 400 damage with blizzaga.
When you kill kujata first time then phoenix start TaKe real damage

Doesn't work. Every time i get to sefiroth brumal form simply won't work on his shadowy chains + sometimes he just chais other partymembers. Really luck dependent, 5 tries - sefiroth kills everyone
It’s why you spam Lifesaver on Barrett. He draws in agro from Sephiroth. Also have barrier on him so he can manawall himself since he’ll be drawing all aggro.
You can block that chain attack with right timing, when you see he doing shadowy chain stop moving and wait, when he start crush you then immediately use block
Have a tip for Sephiroth battle? Died 4 times, because he chains up everyone

you can stun lock him if you do the mp syncro and 2x cast cirle with aerith, after that just spam firaga with aerith and barret did it on my third attempt

@adv.FelipeSilveira how did you beat him bro I also died to him 4 yimes 😂. He always spams the shadowy chains animations where throws rhe purple orb and it's impossible to dodge. He rarely does the animation that's parryable which is so bulkshit. Fuck this dogshit rng fight.

because 6 minutes and 47 seconds is the time he finished the fight, the timer runs off game time, doesnt factor in slow downs for commands

I can never find a guy that says hey you can beat it in a longer Time by using actual skills or there's a small exploit... every final fantasy game should have this! Devs don't give a shit about this now. rebirth should make its way into the digital dumpster hall of fame a good experience ruined by terrible terrible endgame.it's not hard! it's just unfair and ridiculous and untested and useless for any non combat experts with 500 hours free time and a bottle of Adderall ...and the only videos with an actual strategy where they do it fast are in Japanese with no explanations and everybody in the comments seems like paid bots because none of them ask for build.
Not saying your strat isn't a great one. But having a family, hobbies and a job...idk.

I almost took out sephiroth but im just sick of this game now. Hard mode is utter trash and not worth the headache. Remake was fun but this is just frustrating and completely unfair. Im sick of getting to gilgamesh just to get randomly wiped with toad and stop status. And seph shadowy chain is such a BS phase after already having the BS of gilgamesh to. I just dont understand why the devs did this. And omg im not doing final boss on hard mode, that was another several phases of utter BS.
Final boss is not difficult with hard mode, yes I know you feeling this battle took me 2 days and finally found strategy how to do it
I think that’s what it is we’re just tired of this game and burned out. I might take a break, I just turned off wifi on my ps5 so it doesn’t update, cuz this will be patched
@platterbuss2328 I feel you. I made it to Sephiroth after two hours of this strat only for him to freeze my two remaing party members and octaslash them. The challenges are already tough as hell for normal players so screw the devs who came up with this one.
Hard mode is very good

You know the game failed at endgame because most people FEEL BAD IRL and are looking for a way for it to go away. Ergo it isnt FUN. I cycled through every build and have put 60 attempts in only to lose. Blocking seems to not work here but works on other enemies. What a way to ruin the legacy of a game. So many people are upset. PS tried the build, keep losing. Have 2 healers and aerith doing damage still lose. Get up to Gilgamesh after 78 minutes and immediately die then have to redo the strenuous boring first three fights. It's not fun, i feel like i wasted my life and money and time and if someone finds a real strategy that doesnt involve brumal nonsense or divekick nonsense that you need adderall to pull off lmk. This game is a testament to game quality decline. Remake is so much better, they failed the middle, and are losing fans over halo 2 LASO speed death challenges. It's supposed to be accessible for everyoneit sucks that leveling up all your materia and skills and blocks doesn't make a damn difference all the game does is make you angry what's the point of this does anyone have a real point I'd rather solo this with one character instead of having to deal with a bunch of zombies but that doesn't work either because for some reason this challenge makes it so you can't block the 25 attacks all coming at you. Some nerdy cucks figured it out, i need my life back but i hate unfinished business. Maybe in two years somebody will come up with a strategy until then I'll be just losing and losing and losing
Strategy in the videos works for you and three other people I'm part of the 99% that will never get this done thanks to square for making me feel like more of a loser than I already feel like thanks for ruining my life it's something I thought was going to make my life better 4 months I was trying to enjoy the game then you throw this shit at me disgusting absolutely fucking disgusting and reprehensible that they don't know how to make anything at the end game
