- For this video, I talk about the Touring Edition Exhaust System from AWE Tuning that I recently installed onto my 2017 Honda Civic Si Sedan. At this point I've driven about 400-500 miles on the system (break-in takes about 800-1000 miles) and decided to bring my friend Eli along for a ride along to discuss our thoughts on how the exhaust system sounds, grab as many sound bits as we can, and also talk about the exhaust suite from AWE in general. Just had this installed on my 2017 Si sedan by AWE. When I finally picked my car up, my first reaction was that it's a TOTALLY different animal in person. No offense to OP at all, but no microphone that I've encountered can really pick up how good any exhaust system sounds, but that especially holds true for this one. This setup needs to be heard in person to truly appreciate. @9:04 when Eli says "it doesn't sound like a Civic", that's absolutely true. No rasp, just a deep, unique tone.

Man it's not bad, but it sounded so much better on the Audis in your previous (install) video. I had my hopes up. I know, I know, it's not the exhausts fault but the superiority of the Audi engines.
Haha it's all good man I hear ya, it is difficult to make these new honda engines sound good. I think AWE does a great job with their entry into the Honda scene, but their systems on German cars sound killer in comparison 🤘

I have the track edition and let me just say that videos do not do the exhaust any justice it really does make it so much more of a deeper more rumbly tone that you can feel also pops and cracks between shifts and deceleration are the cherry on top haha
How is the highway drone? I want to be loud but I cruise around 80mph a lot so I want to make sure it is comfortable before I go track exhaust.
@@RaymondPlays it’s honestly not bad I still have my stock down pipe on so it’s not too much drone even with music playing at around 15-20 on volume, I highly recommend the track one it gives your si much more life
I've been researching the AWE touring for months now. I don't care for loud cars at all; I mainly want to change the HDMI-looking OEM tip. I think this might be a good option.
Awe is definitely a solid option, provides awesome crackles/pops from behind with a sweet exhaust note, yet still yields no drone inside the cabin 😎

@@SewerGang yes, I did and I LOVE it! You will definitely hear the increase in sound because the Si's aren't insulated well. However it's nowhere near obnoxious. It's really grown on me.
Great video! I am still torn between Touring/Track for my 2022 Si (whenever they release it for the new year). How loud is it when driving around with the windows down? I want to be able to hear it from inside very well with the windows down haha

MAPerformance quad tips I got it super nice race exhaust is pretty loud on higher rpms 2k-3k

Hey buddy great vid! Just got mine installed 2 days ago but mine gets really load from 2100-2500rpm. I also am running the PRL catted down pipe and Phearable tune 1.5. Are you experiencing this noise also?
Sounds exactly like a slightly quieter stock exhaust without mufflers. Although this definitely seems as though highway drone is increased vs stock without mufflers. Interesting how they could actually decrease the overall volume and make the volume at undesired RPM and drive conditions louder. I am not one to crap on people who spend lots of cash. You definitely are justified in your own opinions but.. honestly stock minus mufflers not only sounds better, but it definitely is less drony at highway speeds.

Hi, thanks for posting this video. I have been debating to either go with AWE Track or HKS Hi-Power. What is your opinion or comments between those two exhausts? It sounds like the Track edition is more louder than Touring Edition in idle, correct? Please help! Thanks!
I don't have any comments for the HKS system because I haven't heard one in person myself yet, but you're right about the track edition being louder than the touring edition overall. I'd say the touring edition is good for those looking for a system that offers a solid compromise between performance, exhaust volume, and exhaust tone. Both the track and touring edition will sound the same at WOT, but cruising around I've enjoyed the touring edition exhaust without being the center of attention on the road.

Serious question! Im looking to get the track edition becuase of my budget... and ill probably get the muffler at a later time. With the integrated front pipe that comes with this exhaust.. would i need a tune? Id rather not touch the ecu incase i have to revert back to stock. Would no muffler with a front pipe mess things up without a tune?

I have a muffler delete, the crackles are awesome but between 2k-3k rpm it’s awful. Awe touring is definitely one of my next few mods.

How come you did not choose the 27won system ?
Tbh I do like some of the 27won system features better than my current system (v-band clamps, fully polished/chrome finish) and I think their exhaust system sounds great too, but I chose to work with AWE Tuning because I have done so before with Eli. I actually didn't know how it my touring edition exhaust sounded until I first started the car up. Even so, I don't regret installing it for a second 👍.
Because they gave it to him for free lol. I am who doesn't like that option.
@@Pawinning it's a cool system but, prices are way to high for me to justify .. I turned my nose up to the 27won system because of price ... I mean people are spending a ton of money on a exhaust for zero gain in hp ... where you can to a down pipe plus a ktune for the same price and gain a shit ton of power ... still a great channel keep up the good work
