Best dog I ever owned. Yes can be a bit stubborn and has a strong prey drive but with family is docile and sweet. Loves to play. We live in the countryside and ours herds the chickens back into the coop either when he sees a hawk or just thinks they are wandering too far. Never harmed a chicken and sleeps with the family cat but chipmunks and squirrels beware. Has terrier tendencies and will dig for 45 minutes if he smells prey. Comes away filthy but an important point not mentioned is their coat is self cleaning. Once dry (and they don’t have the ‘doggy” smell when wet) the dust and dirt falls off. After a full day play in the woods he sleeps all night and in the morning a layer of dust to sweep and the dog is clean like he just came back from the groomer.
