Love how they told us the supports were gonna get a lot of love this beta. We really see that, don’t we
they'll probably add support changes in later patches
But guys we removed the DPS speed buff, what more do you want?
@@user-zr4er6zy9v they wont lmao
@@TheBiggestMoronYouKnow yea they will, Moira is getting a new ability mid way through
@@rockstermaniac tell me you’re a dps main without telling me
I hate the mercy superjump change. You can't bounce off of objects now when you crouch shift to someone and hit the object and superjump there. It was actually pretty useful for situations, where you really didn't want to fly to your mate, but still want the superjump for repositioning or fleeing from flanks.
Is that actually affected though? I thought this only replaced the new tech they introduced that allowed you to just press crouch to super jump
The crouch jump was actually pretty enjoyable last beta. This change felt so weird I thought it was a bug until I read the patch notes 😬
I would say "do not fix what is not broken"
Does this affect super jump rez? I haven't tried the beta yet so I'm wondering if you can scale jump heights like to get to higher platforms or to rez. or if the default super jump is only one height :/
Yeah I hate this change the old beta had it right for keeping LEGACY SKILL
but I like being able to slow knockbacks and upward momentum. That's MORE control so it's good. But yeah messing with LEGACY skill is ass for returning players.
The new Mercy "super jump" should be an option on her settings (like the GA settings), where you could choose how to perform that jump (like everyone does right now or like this new way) because these changes are only gonna make people to main other supports and stop playing Mercy.
I still don't get the upset now it's one less thing mercys have to deal with you can focus on other things now and I understand it took time but now you don't have to worry about it not always working automatic super jump seems way easier and way more practical then having to Mash buttons in precise order
@@mrflamram9966 because if you aren't focusing on it you will accidentally super jump and anyone in high elo will instantly get their head taken off by a widow.
@@mrflamram9966 but Mercy's healing/damage boost was already the thing that Mercy players didn't need to focus on. positioning and movement is where her skill expression exists. If this takes away from that, I think it's a net negative for the hero and she'll get even less playtime unless we get into a "pocket the ____" meta. However, like with the Superjump they added recently to live OW1, it could lead to new tech being discovered. That's the only way I see this as a good change the keep the hero healthy and feeling impactful
EDIT: typo
Press jump button mid way to cancel super jump
Lets hope people main other supports and stop playing Mercy, fingers crossed.
I wouldn't call Zen's a "minor" need because to charge all 5 secondary shots it takes about 2.5 seconds. So you can't stay behind a wall now while you charge it and still have the walls hacks when you peek back.
Playing Mercy at the moment feels like an entire buggy experience! I understand they want to make her kit more accessible to new players, but honestly super jump was never that hard & at the moment they’re literally compromising the entire champion, just for the sake of making 1 tech ,that was never even official to begin with, accessible to more people. Her entire movement and fluent mobility has been jeopardized in order to try and make this work.
This. In my opinion they should just rework Guardian Angel to be a directional boost whereever Mercy wants to fly, instead of only to teammates. That way she can move upward freely, or dash towards allies, without the need for silly and clunky tech like this
I don't even play Mercy but OW needs to keep all these techs cos it's these little things that can make characters more fun. They need to borrow more ideas from fighting games not yeet them out smh.
@@Atatatatatatatattata I couldn't agree more.
@@devilex121 100% & it's basically little details like that, that diehard fans of a champion practice to master over a long period of time & that's what not only makes the champion fun, but also satisfying, not the mention the fact that it raises the skill ceiling of the champion, where it is actually viable to play in high rank (not that I really care about META tbh, but you know what I mean). It's just had such a big influence on a large amount of her kit, such as prop jumping being another tech that's effected due to this change. It's highly disappointing. I would understand if it was a necessary change & a champion requires a rework for whatever reason, but I feel like this was totally uncalled for. Fingers crossed they revert ^^
Yeah Idk, maybe if they wanted to make it more fair or something, instead of a directional boost like someone suggested, maybe when youre flying, the direction you look at directs it more, so like, when you fly to a teammate, but sharply look up, it'll carry the motion? Same with left and right maybe? Im not sure but this aint it for sure
The Sym changes were very much made by developers who do not play Sym.
They really want to force the whole "so hard to play that it's basically trolling, but gets picked all the time in esports". Ever since they reworked her to take more skill, she just gets relegated to gimmicks.
As long as she stays in the DPS category she will always be a testament to how the game is designed for the lowest common denominator, to increase profits.
@@SherrifOfNottingham same could be said about mercy but having high game sense and evasion makes her very strong, not everyone wants to play call of duty but still wants to compete
only beta males play sym

@@Crit7k ;-;
Lucio doesn't need changed, he is pretty good in two because of little stuns
Bring back beat kill :'(
I know other people have said this, and I agree with them, mercy’s changes aren’t the best. I play mercy a lot in ow1 and don’t plan on playing in the beta, but having an automatic super jump sucks. It’s not a hard mechanic to learn unless you might be brand new to the game. I understand that some players enjoy the new change, but from a viewpoint, I do not like the new GA super jump.
Its also hard to sj with default console controls, but i simply fucked with my keybinds and formed muscle memory, and the ga changes rlly fucked with my muscle memory. As a player of the beta, the changes were hell. She felt unplayable.
I played mercy for about 3 hours today, and I am not liking it too. It got very annoying and it gets in the way
agreed, it's terrible. in the first beta her jump was weird but you had almost full controll. i loved how she played in the first beta.
Hard to super jump on controller when your crouch is bonded to your Circle or B button
it is also a bug the old way of doin it and mercy is annoying
I get they wanted symmetra’s kit to be “faster” so they did that while toning other stuff down…. But these changes just don’t feel right. I think they should revert them and restart with her again lol
They literally killed her lmao 1.2 seconds charge for 90 damage?? It takes 3.6 seconds to kill a regular 200hp hero if you land all the shots and there’s no supports. They better start over cause after we get bored of the new visuals nobody’s gonna play her.
literally, sym in ow1 was fine
@@freakraptor2700 yeah if you have no skills
@@freakraptor2700 Sym was more fine before each of the reworks to an extent. The only times people ever actually complained about her was when she suddenly became meta and players weren't used to dealing with her. They narrowed her versatility and forced gimmicks that were either rarely used well or other heroes performed better. Sym in OW1 doesn't feel as bad as she should because the meta doesn't completely shit on her anymore, but she is still worse off. The new changes are somehow doubling down on her already narrow usage.
@@12171010011010 Symmetra's DPS "Rework" was actually a nerf, up until that point she was the highest performing hero in the game at all skill levels, her issue was an issue of perception. Great, Doom getting nerfed again before even coming out.
I have no idea why they thought Doomfist needed nerfs. He was already seen as a low end pick in the last beta. He wasn't bad, but he was really lackluster with his output. I was hoping they would give his abilities a slight damage buff.
Was literally hoping for more dmg.
Like ok make the counter 50% idcccc, sucks anyways but.. nerfs? lmao.
Literally just scrolling to find comments like this. Fuck nerfing his offensive and defensive capabilities in a single patch while not giving anything to either.
I’m glad I’m not the only one frustrated with these changes
this is crazy... Now he can't even slow the enemy team as a tactic, on top of that he has low dmg output, what's the point of playing him anymore?
Symms heavy nerfs are almost made up for by her cool new visuals
Guttering Sym again and again got old like 4 years ago. Cosmetic appearance is nice, but she's never had any issue with that.
Almost
Her beams look so sick
I hate the fact that they did nerf her secondary fire dmg…
@@Okan_-ze6ne I mean... the speed is way better so it shouldn't make much difference
Tbh doom is kind of like a tickle monster and in the lower ranks its really hard to hit the hand cannon well not without abilities
Yea the seismic ability seems kind of pointless now that it doesn’t CC targets in any way, I thought Doom was meant to be more about displacing key targets rather than assassinating backlines with primary fire, but hey modern day Blizz gonna modern day Blizz and ruin their own game by putting the design choices in the hands of people who don’t play the game at a competent enough level to be able to make fundamental changes that dont ruin the game
@@TheSpartanlaw couldn’t have said it any better myself.
@@TheSpartanlaw this CC purge is going to make them game so agressively boring to play, and essentially forces the meta into a Ball centric dive comp that nobody is going to be able to deal with because teams are simply too squishy
The teleporter change is going to make the achievements for teleporter kills and uses a lot harder for anyone who doesn't already have them. They don't always update the achievements to be easier after they make character changes like this, but for the sake of new players I hope they do.
got it when rework happened
Simple fix. Player overwatch 1
That hanzo achievement is impossible now after they nerfed storm arrows awhile back
New superjump makes mercy borderline unplayable as far as I see it. The fluidity of the original jump was great & there's no need for it to be changed. They literally didn't need to touch sj or mercy movement tech. It was already fine. Most mercy players just want to heal more or have more impact on a fight, not have their one survivability tool (aka their movement) butchered.
theres enough dumb healbot mercy players, id rather see them add a new more fun ability over boring healing
@@IshimuraaYT „fun“, they legit killed her movement.

The symmetra changes make no sense, they've basically nerfed everything in exchange for faster (but weaker) alt fire. Her utility was really the only thing she had going and now all of it is worse, and nothing of value was increased to account for that

Sym's sentries deserved to be nerfed

syms sentries don't provide any value for sym anyway half the time
The idea that Symmetra needed any nerfs at all seems utterly insane to me??? Wasn't she super underused in the first beta?
Too many buffs is a catalyst to being OP and complaints.
@@Denariio Sure, but this doesn't seem to change any of the things that make her mesh poorly with the new style of gameplay. Just changes the tempo of her abilities.
@Ducky I guess so. As I said in another reply, I just don't really see what it does to properly tackle some of the issues of translating her into this playstyle, especially the damage nerf and turret speed reduction nerf. It's like they changed the tempo of her abilities to work better but countered that by making her weaker, which is weird because it specifically leaves her unable to do stuff like insta-kill tracer with charge shot into melee.
Believe it or not she had the highest win rate of all characters. Dev blog confirm this
@@emergency.jergens
Win rate really doesn't matter in terms of balancing a character because heroes like Sym will generally be used in maps where she has an advantage on. Then, if the game moves to another part of the map, players will switch off of her.
As always, a well deserved thumbs up for the presentation! Thank you for the extra mile.
The biggest changes for me are all the small changes to the UI and the effects like ANA's Nade that is finally obvious (took em only 6 years) or Torbs left click. Both have trails now so its WAY easier to see in the effects galore in the middle of a fight.
The mercy superjump change just makes her more unnecessarily complicated and less accessible, literally the opposite of what it was trying to do.
Think about how many times a player will want to normal GA in a game, vs superjump. You normal GA maaaaaybe 80% of the time and SJ maybe 20%. If a new player picked up mercy they would think that SJ is her default and always being in the air is her default positioning. Way easier to die for new players and on average just adds *more* input for the hero where you have to spam to cancel GA. So if the reasoning is that Mercy is intended to be more accessible, I don't see how this helps.
Plus, it makes her other basic movement techs, harder because you're now timing for an extra movement cancel as well. And they removed bouncing off of objects, which was a huge part of her kit. They literally made everything else about her less accessible for the sake of making superjump easier...
Exactly!! And Mercy is already the easiest hero in the game , so why remove her tech, which advanced players desperately need?!
lol all these nerds complaining, can't you just play the game and be good???
@@disastrousenvy8438 real classy insult lol
We complain because some of us like to play Mercy BECAUSE of her tech. Taking that away can also take away the enjoyment of the character. Of course I will still play the game, as you said, but I would just not play Mercy anymore 🤷♂️
@@disastrousenvy8438 listen, and here's a crazy concept, there are people who play games and are good at them and still complain about it. sorry your brain is too tiny to comprehend how human reactions work though
The amount of resurrections I've accidentally cancelled is annoying. Myself and others had to find ways to **cancel** her GA jump. If players have to find a way to *not* use an ability, then it's most likely not a good one.
why read patch notes when karq can explain with great visuals
Thanks KARQ, so much easier to see it presented like this rather than figure it all out
I find it really weird that they changed Mercy's GA, since the crouch-to-jump change we got at the end of the first Beta felt like the perfect way to fix her superjump. It gave new players an easier time to actually preform the superjump (which does take some time to learn) while also providing old players with a fresh take on the ability that raised the skill cap of the hero. I hope Blizzard sees reason and just revert the change back to the crouch-to-jump version. If that proves to powerful (I've seen people complaining it feels like Mercy has an infinite Valk, but thats just what superjump feels like), give it a cooldown of some kind. It felt so good for gameplay to have that crouch-to-jump, and this just looks clunky and highly restrictive
They did doom dirty, finally seeing some owl playtime and they nerf him into the ground, i kind of saw them tweaking the slow down effect cause it was really strong but i didnt expect them to remove it.
Came to comment the same thing. Doom was completely neglected and buggy and OW1 and they moved him to the tank role and made him significantly worse. Punch sucks and removing the slow on slam destroys all of his utility in his cooldowns.
at this point, they've gotten rid of all of his solo kill potential unless he has a charged punch
what have they done with mercy
i always come to this channel for short brief informational changes to this game
It's like 6 minutes versus 35 of someone just chatting crap. KarQ is a king for this content
I can’t believe they actually nerf doom.
Fr he wasnt even op
Yup but what did you expect lol
Playing today, I noticed Mercy had some rather broken Revives. She could initiate a rev and die midway and it completes. Additionally, she was able to touch and fly away while the Rev was still being performed. It was weird and I didn't know if it was a big or an extreme oversight in how she can almost inta-rev.
mercy didn’t need any changes as far as guardian angel goes. it was fine. if you couldn’t pull off a super/bunny jump, you weren’t meant to be a mercy main
this. like come on, blizz. stop making things easier.
The teleporter cooldown change makes no sense if they want to make sym use it more often in battle
They should've atleast made it so Symmetras primary fire does 50% or more damage to shields and give her another ability
imho that's going in the wrong direction. Symmetra's "shield" theme, should be more defensive and less about stripping shields, especially when Blizz has already nerfed them a bunch. It's also not like other heroes still aren't better at breaking shields. If anything, she needs an ability rework, to better fit the meta and her themes. She is barely a defensive hero, and is too squishy to do anything else consistently.
@@12171010011010 I can see that but still symmetra has to get something as a buff
Those were just nerfs
@@nebelblade1809 They really should just revert her back into the Support category and focus on her being a support.
But they'll never move away from sustain.
I feel like symetra just isn’t right with ow2 and that’s just going to be hard to fix.
Symm was a perfect counter to barrier tank + brig.
Removing her insanely good niche to rework her is bloody awful
Eh, there are fewer shields in OW 2 anyway, and her damage still ramps up when hitting shields. Her changes make her less of a shield buster and more of a strong pick in overall situations, especially at range, which I think is a decent direction to go,
Absolutly, it feels like they keep going back and forth over the same changes over Sym since years now. You cant even oneshot greedy tracers with m2 + melee anymore, that was my bread and butter
You don’t really have to worry about barriers much in OW2 lol
@@Theguyoverthere603 Doesn’t work, she is still slow AF. Doesn’t have movement, except to two locations of her tp. Her secondary pea-gun is useless, since you can heal the damage so quickly by the time she charges the next one. Her primary is even more garbage now since she doesn’t have the barriers to ramp it off of them, or protect her while she’s ramping it up. Her turrets don’t slow as much anymore, add that to the old stupid mechanic where two things can’t slow you at the same time, means she’s garbage. Still slow, huge CD on her only escape AS a CLOSE RANGE dps, no way to sustain herself. She’s basically a walking duck that needs heavy pocketing and set up time in order to work.
Meanwhile you have the new hero sojourn, who is zooming everywhere and can work in any scenario. Symm is still niche af, she just needs an entire rework or a revert to 2.0 Symm.
@@Theguyoverthere603 "especially at range" hahahahahaha, good one.
Yes this makes her damage ramp accessible in more situations, but it doesn't make up for the lack of versatility she has. 95% of the time, another hero will still do her job better and more reliably. These changes seem to be designed for esports, where communication and good timing is abundant, and even with those she looks weak.
Mercy should be able to decide whether to support jump or not, it'll just be an excellent occasion for snipers to shoot her down. It should never be "automatic", and at this point it probably should be left be because every version just gets worse.
And for Symmetra, a character who needed buffs just got nerfed. She's not going to do more damage or last longer, or even escape faster with that 16 s cooldown. She's just going to be worse.
It’s symmetra tho, her little doesn’t really belong in the game. She’s a niche character that excels in tight room, tight maps and choke point situations. She doesn’t need to be buffed, she has the highest win rate out of most of the characters in ow1… why? Because she’s situational. And when used right, she’s hard to stop if you play her correctly. She will never be a character that fits the “meta” she’ll be situation. Which is okay. Nobody wants to play against dps heroes who autopilot to victory like torb, symmetra, ow1 mei, and junkrat. That makes the game not fun when these characters have cheap tricks with no real counter in their proper situations. I’m happy with the mei change, happy with the torb change. If they want to make this game fun, you need to make abilities create plays or moments, like the Cassidy combat roll… that’s godtier and situational if used correctly. Those are the kinds changes that’ll make people gravitate towards the character and enjoy the game. And it’s a skill thing, it requires proper timing. Not just click and let these abilities auto damage
She can not do the super jump at all by just holding jump because it will cancel the vertical momentum
@@JingleMallet They can also just hit the button again. I dont know why they're complaining
Wait Orisa wasn't doing full 2x damage with headshots in the first beta?
Oh my god I'm going to melt people with Orisa, she was already so good when you get up in their face... if I get into beta 2....
Everyone will, they’ll roll it out in waves!
Javelin hit used to be basically a confirmed kill on any 200 hp hero and now it is a definite confirmed kill lol.. Probably don't even need to hit the wall anymore
Wooooooooo lets go, actual changes and big beefy patch to experience!!
*Megamind face*
No chicken?
DPS role passive is pretty cool, but definitely should be for every role. it'll promote counter-swapping for more casual/unorganized teams.
considering the pool of DPS heroes it can work well, for supports and tanks with a much smaller pool it will not be good
It was already HEAVILY recommended early in the game's release. But Blizzard essentially said that knowing when to build ult or switch was an intended skill, and it really felt like they wanted OW to be more similar to other competitive games. Then they completely nerfed or removed several aspects of matches being versatile, and promoted "maining" heroes.
I definitely agree that something like this should be available for all heroes. Swapping tanks and healers dynamically should be encouraged, especially since DPS' get more freedom in the beta.
@@12171010011010 The real answer is that hero swapping, as fun and interesting as the community thinks it is, is the source of the balance issues.
1.) It allows them to have Pharmacy be a thing for so long because all it takes is a hit scan hero to pick off the mercy. Why bother balancing the heroes when you can just hard counter everything. This leads to the "meta" where players will just pick the heroes that have the weakest counters at the time. In reality there's little hero switching really happening here because the balance of the game leads to "these are the characters you have to play" nobody would even bother playing Pharah because she would fly up in the air and just get hitscanned to death before she can really land any rockets. (Or she would be buffed to be too strong for the counter to work either way it's the same thing).
2.) It makes players feel that switching fixes the problems, while we established the balance of the game sort of demands this, the problem with hero swapping being an option is, well, only the losing team ever seems to do it. The reality is because the game demands a meta due to the hero swapping, any time you DO hero swap it's because you made a mistake. If players were forced to stick their heroes not only would they learn to deal with their hard counters better (IE my pre DPS rework Symmetra had a positive KD versus Pharah because I knew how to deal with her.
3.) It generates toxicity, unfortunately the community feels that it's ok to demand teammates swap off heroes, but remember how I said "any time you DO hero swap it's because you made a mistake." Well, the community felt that it was acceptable to inform their teammates of their mistake of picking the wrong hero. A majority of the toxicity and issues came from the hero swapping mechanic as players would demand their teammates switch. Games where you get locked in have a little bit of this at the start, people have the audacity to tell you what to play despite not knowing you or what you're actually good at, but once the game starts this type of toxicity tends to vanish.
Sure it's fun to be able to pick something else, but one of the best arcade modes they had was the one where you were locked in to a character for the whole match. People would pick fun characters and have fun and when they went up against a counter they worked to overcome it. All in all, most of the problems with the game stem from the hero swap, even the balance of the game being bad is because of the hero swap.
Always love the editing in your videos KarQ!
"you never wanna piss off mercy mains" meanwhile made such an awful change to her SJ thats essentially a massive nerf. She's predictable now and can only SJ when at her target meaning unless she wants to dive the frontline with her tanks, she's only gonna be SJ rarely or putting herself in massive danger to use a SJ that will likely get her killed.
They also reduced the jump height of the ability and you can longer SJ Rez as you go too high and using the new angelic "ascent" removes your ability to use Rez. Bad changes all around honestly
i still dont really understand the new angelic descent- whats the difference? am i dumb lol
@@yuhhbaby3179 it now counts as an angelic ascent too, so say a junkrat is knocking you around, holding angelic descent will limit the amount of knockback applied to you.
They ruined symmetra. They should just rework her and bring her back to the support. It's already a struggle playing her, and they nerfed her even more.
The way blizzard has changed the game fundamentally, I don't think sym can ever be a support without reworking every single thing in her kit (minus the tele). Giving shields won't work, because they want heroes to be squishier, and relegate upfront protection to tanks. Buffing her slows won't work because they want to minimise CC. Barriers are for tanks apparently too. Look at how mei and torb, who used to have similar roles to sym, and how they've become more generic to increase their accessibility. The only difference is that Sym is underpowered with her gimmicks being too situational and underwhelming. There once was a popular idea to make her turrets also heal teammates, but at this stage, that kind of gameplay sounds more like something a new hero would have.
@@12171010011010 An idea I had was to make her turrets float around her for a short time. She used to be monstrous at close range, and I think that was okay minus her old m1 auto aim tether. I think it'd give a little more strategy with her kit, like if she pops all 3 turrets to slow and burst a target, then she's gotta wait out all 3 turret cooldowns, leaving her vulnerable to being jumped, while also spacing out her burst potential. Or she can trickle them out 1 at a time to focus on more sustained damage and provide light cc with the turret slow effect also being stretched over time. At the very least I think it'd be interesting. Her turrets always felt kinda limp to me and non-threatening if you pay just a little bit of attention to them.

One thing that never made sense to me and what I wanna see is Ana’s grenade being a counter to being Anti naded (also Junkerqueen’s ult). If her nade does increased healing, then why can’t it cancel out anti?
(So if you’re anti healed, then you can nade yourself or teammates and it will remove the anti effect)
It already does that for Ana nades if I’m not mistaken
@@Nickwilde7755 it doesn’t. I have over 1,000 hours on Ana and it’s not done that once
I really like this change, simply because I know from experience as a tank main. Its very common to be naded as a tank, with healers on your team being forced to wait it out, or anas from opposite teams throwing nades at the same target. You could argue it's a skill issue, but nades give so much value that it just feels frustrating to get hit by the enemy nade first.
I missed like three rez’s in one game yesterday because I’d fly to a teammate and then just superjump out of range completely by accident. I thought it was a bug but I’m super confused as to why that was an intentional thing put in by devs

Fr beta 1 felt like things were actually changing while beta 2 feels like they're just regressing even further than before. Characters devs like get extraordinary buffs while characters they don't like get unnecessary nerfs.
@@icarusrising2787 Hmm interesting point of view. Isn't it making 2nd beta one look more like OW 1? They even took away the speed buff from DPS, in my opinion, this was one of the main differences in OW2 and this was adding more cool dynamics in a fight. Mb I'm wrong but just throwing this away cz heroes like gnj/trcr/76 is not the best idea, it feels like they took the easy way to solve the problem. Well, it's just my opinion.....
@@mikedanger2324 I agree with you tbh. And yeah, characters like genji tracer and soldier shouldn't be the sole reason the speed buff gets removed. Idk why but they have this idea in their heads that they need to combine pre-existing character passives (such as mercy's self healing) with the new role passives. As it stands now, the only time dps gets a passive is whenever your team might be getting rolled so you decide to swap.
Thanks KarQ for keeping us updated on Overwatch changes. I use your channel as a bible for the game which is why I’m now the greatest player in Silver that the world has ever seen.
They clearly despise symmetra
I love how reworking symm just makes her more generic and worse without her niche… such great design choices there
another amazing design choice is the auto sj for mercy. Dont we just love it when blizzard fixes things that arent broken?
pretty much every rework for Symmetra was just trying to make her more Generic.
What the people still playing the game need to understand that THAT is the design philosophy going into all the designs. IF your character feels unique and interesting, they will likely see nerfs and reworks to make them more generic so they can appeal to the lowest common denominator. Who cares if the niche that liked them gets shafted.
Damm that's a quick upload
You guys realize how a lot of the heroes I’ve just gone back to how they were in overwatch one
with the new GA can you still slingshot (press jump when you reach your target for horizontal mobility)? That tech was helpful to reposition
Yes, you can!
Yes but it is really really janky, I honestly think it’s bugged or something
Not so sure about the superjump change, but other than that the changes are cool.
Haven’t seen anyone talk about this, but it seems Anas sleep has been buffed. Ana has enough time to shoot the slept target twice instead of once before they wake up, Meaning you can kill most DPS and supports if you hit them with sleep
I wanted to see a lucio buff as his healing wasn't much already, it would be cool to add another speed mode involved. IMO his boop never felt attatched to his kit because all his other abilities were based on speed and healing because he was able to heal or speed and buff those also, but doing something like a zarya bubble except it makes them speed up instead of block incoming projectiles would be cool. But, it lasts longer than zaryas bubble. This could come out with some really cool combos with a soldier running across the map with his sprint with tactical visor and gunning everyone down with the speed. Or a nano blade with increased speed would require lots of team comms but the result would be amazing and devastating. I know his boop is kinda iconic but it never had synergy with his other kit like other characters like doomfist with all his abilities working together for combos, and D.VA where most abilities can be used at the same time and can be fun for a low cooldown, ability spam mess.
I really wanted them to add a new ability to genji for balancing because he is not very popular now and I wanted to see them change it up a bit. I was thinking something with a sword and a replacment for deflect because even through it was good, it never felt like it was very necessary. it was only good if you were going to counter widow and even then all you have to do is dash up and secondary-fire melee combo her head. No deflect needed. A cool bleeding close range slash would be cool as it brings that old bleeding effect genji had (if I remember correctly) but also nerfs it as it wasn't part of dash and it was only close range. Would really be useful for flanking as that is what genji was used for and would help if a hanzo or widow escapes because they have wall climb and grapple respectively. It adds to the reason of playing him because his swords is what people want to use and giving it a slash ability gives of a better feeling than placing down an uno reverse card on a rien wanting to use firestrike. Also a little blade charge reduction would be nice.
I kinda wanted to see more changes to the game with this beta but it is what it is. (Yes I wrote an essay).
So they're making the already clunky Tank Doomfist kit clunkier.
Yeah, great.
They're still doing the thing where they balance for OWL over Ladder.
I'm sick rn and this is like a gift from the gods
Awesome video! 👍👍
They are out of their minds making pharah boop like that she already had a fine distance
This new DPS passive, will you be able to charge up someones' ult faster by playing Tracer and then switch to a new hero to gain more ult-charge, at the beginning of a round?
Same thought I just had. If they considered this side effect and leave it in the game, it'll develop into such an interesting meta
No they thought about that. They confirmed already it works using ult charge points. So 300 points is still 300 points when you switch over. So the more expensive an ult is the less noticeable it will be. Not to mention it caps at 30% of an ult charge so you can’t really Exploit it either. You’d have to use tracer for a fair amount of time before you can even reach the 30% cap and at that point you’d probably have been better off using another hero.
@@MrJayza89 Ah, thanks for the informative answer! I totally understand it now :)
God what did they do to Symmetra and whyyy
I just want to tell you: i love your new intro:)
You have reached 500k subs man congrats
They need to leave Mercy’s SJ alone for the love of god. They’re just ruining her atp
They keep trying to fix something that isnt broken. Her movement was absolutely fine. Maybe make the backwards ga a bit easier, but nothing was wrong with sj.
Isn't it enough for them to give Mercy's passive to all the props, they're still trying to end up with the one thing that makes it minimally viable in the game, why are they trying to nerf a character who isn't even in the meta?
I like almost everything but the junkrat a'd pharah changes from this patch weren't wanted/needed at all
Hey KarQ thank you
Mercy horizontal GA slingshot seems way faster and further now from my testing
Isnt the junker Queen like super op??? She heals from every damage and can inflict anti?????
Yes she is. If the enemy tank goes junker queen your tank might need to because their is no way to counter her as a tank so you have better odds try to diff her than trying to counter her. And her shout and passive healing just makes it harder to kill her if she isn't already pocketed.
Dont forget has multiple abilities that pass thru shield
💀
Best part of the new Beta is waiting over 10+ minutes to play Tank!
I was backfilled and my "priority requeue" was over 13 minutes. If they had even one support hero that was new the times might be a bit balanced. You removed one tank and then released and a tank and dsp character... supports have nothing new to play which is why nobody wants to play them in the beta
Almost 500k man
The new mercy jump physics isn't the same as the tech version, unless Blizz wants control on the max possible height achievable with the jump. The tech version was so unique and loved it's going to be hard to find a balance in destroying it while turning it into an official game tool.
All they have to do is make a tutorial on superjump when u first open the game
J Queen is some of the most fun I have had in overwatch in a long time.
Like roadhog but not boring
literally so fun
I think Junkerqueen will effectively remove Road hog from most games. Her abilities help her team, and her self healing can't be cancelled like Hogs. Plus she's more fast paced and fun.
They really need to bring back the old Mercy SJ. My grandma doesn't play Overwatch.
You should do myths about Junker Queen
congrats on 500k!
I hate how they made a limited beta for server testing, then a pay wall for Guaranteed access. Cuz now obviously the servers are overloaded and nobody who didn’t pay is gonna be able to play it.
I didnt pay but got in, but I agree on your point. My case is probably kind of rare.
That genji buff is insane
Nvm
The hoodie you mean?
Ahhhhhh I was wondering why I was nailing the super jump every time when normally I just cannot
the quality of your intro is better than the game itself
They forgot to mention the roadhog dmg!
Went into practice and did a hook headshot combo to every hero and a decent portion of heroes can't be one shotted now
Please tell me this is true. Hog has been too strong too long
As a Hog player, this is bullshit if true that he's been nerfed. No, he wasn't too strong. People just got punished for bad positioning and not being able to properly bait us out. It's entirely the DPS's fault if they can't use cover properly.
@@OrphanHart yup, soundin like a hog main
@@OrphanHart “bad postioning” stop acting like your hero can’t 1 shot players from 20 meters away. It’s not bad positioning lmao
Bad positioning, speaks in 50m hooks u cant even escape lmao
My experience so far as a PS5 Mercy main:
- Mercy is a terrible experience on console especially (gliding cancels your beam, rez bugs into superjump wayyyy too often and cancels rez)
-Ana feels amazing, I can’t explain it but her bullets feel bigger and easier to hit, plus the sound is 🤌
-Lucio is so fun, especially with 1 less tank
-Bap feels the same, but his healing seems slower, idk why
-Zen feels harder to aim with, idk if his projectiles are smaller now
-Brig shield bash go FARRRR, plus you feel like an extra tank now that there’s only one
-Moira feels OP as HELL and I love it, had 2 games in a row with no deaths and insane damage/heal numbers
there were no changes to the hitbox of both ana's and zen's shots, plus they didn't do anything to bap's primary heal.
@@user-zr4er6zy9v I’m just saying from my experience of… I’d say around 10 games, this is what my thoughts are. Wanted to play more, but work beckoned
I agree, I was so mad I started rezing and then just randomly popped into the air canceling my Rez 😅
This is it. I played mercy on xbox and it was just. horrible. I can't describe it specifically but ive never had a worse time playing mercy.
@@user-zr4er6zy9v You can be sure that something has changed in Zen, even if they have not announced, his ores especially are very strange, maybe a bug?
For exact numbers on junker queen as of rn her knife throwing deals 15 overtime damage and 15 healing same with her melee and her ultimate deals 100 damage and heals 100 damage per hero hit healing 500 hp
Did they keep the Bastion gun has no spread they were talking about using in the experimental card?
One thing they didn't realize about the Mercy changes: they accidentally got rid of her prop bounce tech, wall slide tech, floor bounce tech, etc. Anything that was a GA movement tech off an object doesn't seem to work. Also, it lowers her skill floor soooo much to be able to superjump so easily, and honestly, she's already easy in terms of aim, so why tf would they do this to her?? She still requires a lot of positioning and game sense, but her mechanical skill was entirely based off of her movement tech, and to see some of those techs gone really sucks. She used to have over 15 different GA techs.
Quick question to everyone that sees this: Has anyone on console gotten the beta without paying?
They made an announcement that those who are lucky will most likely receive beta access July 5 or later
will you be able to earn the beta through twitch drops this time or no?
the new mercy GA jump is a hard movement nerf bc the cooldown DOESNT start until the apex of the jump making her more vulnerable as she is stuck in air for the cooldown duration...
Mercy change is super frustrating. So many res got canceled because now she auto super jumps out of range if you forget to cancel when you reach your target.
It happened to me and the frustration was immesurable.
i dont understand why did blizzard decide to destroy symmetra, she is now pointless to play, same as big nerf for doomfist (imo he was perfectly balanced)
I mean playing with mercys new changes i found that if you use crouch or even space you can cancel out the auto jump. I mean it does teach you to pay more attention to how your playing which is also a good thing and a bad thing but yeet. I have found myself accidently cancelling rez and other things but once u get used to it its like you can normally play her anyways.
sooo close to 500k!
