one more thing about durian is they have very short shelf life, max 3 days. After that they will start acidizing, resulting in more sour taste and stronger smell. Thats why imported durians are usually tastes worse and pungent smell compared to fresh durian.

durian with sticky rice(pulut) and coconut milk is one of the best combination
My grandma eat durian with steamy hot rice and a little bit of saltwater,i never try it though

We, the malay people, put plain water without salt in the durian pangsa ( durian compartment) to cool off our body. We rarely drink coconut juice to cool off our body from durian heat, instead we eat mangosteen and rambutan after eating durian to balance our body temperature.
You can use the white part of durian cooked with chicken make it durian chicken soup... It is super effective to cool off all heat from durian

One tip. If you are concern about the smell of durian from your mouth or fingers after eating durians, rinse your mouth and fingers with the water that you mixed with salt in the durian shell. We would run water from the tap over the thorn side of the shell onto our hands to wash off the durian after-smell. No soap required👍

Kaori san, 你好， 新加坡朋友说好彩日本朋友不吃榴梿，现在中国大陆只小部份朋友开始爱上榴梿，近几年来新加坡榴连已经很贵了。再来日本朋友和韩国朋友都爱吃榴梿那就完蛋了啦，肯定非常贵，我们新加坡朋友都吃不起了啦！
