  • @Psalm-ii2sh
    @Psalm-ii2sh Před 3 lety +2

    Did you have to dry the eggshells out before crushing them into pieces?

    • @GardeningSecrets
      @GardeningSecrets  Před 3 lety +1

      Firstly collect the eggshells. Once you’re ready to prepare the cleaner, wash the eggshells and line them up on a baking sheet. Dry the shells outside in the sun or on low heat in the oven for a few minutes. Use a mortar and pestle coffee grinder or high-speed blender to blend into a fine paste

      Perlite is the name of a naturally occurring mineral.

    • @GardeningSecrets
      @GardeningSecrets  Před 3 lety +1

      kindly read this: Perlite has several uses in regular gardens
      in Soil Mixes: you can make your own homemade soil mixes using a combination of perlite, loam, and peat moss in equal measures. In pots, it keeps everything loose, aerated and well draining.

      Mix a complete fertilizer with the potting mixture, such as 10-10-10, or a high-nitrogen and high-phosphorous fertilizer, such as 20-20-10. Supplemental nitrogen prepares the okra plant for the long growing season, but too much nitrogen leads too excess foliage and lackluster pods.
