15:54 no, you aren't wrong. LIMITLESS is an OST from Duel Masters. If you see the credits of their album you see that Ateez worked with Japanese Lyricists and composers instead of Edenary. That's why Limitless and Diamond are so weird if you think of Ateez's discography.

There's this theory where we have seen, in the previous MVs and video Diary, that San has always sacrificed himself to protect his groups. But, in Wonderland there's a scene with San and 7 poles, and the theory suggests that San's sacrifice was vain and Ateez's perished.
But, and this is my interpretation, if you see from a different point of view, San did sacrifice himself but not in the way we think. As we know, there are TWO dimensions in Ateez's lore, the A and Z. My thought is based on the quantum principle of superposition, that states that a particle can be in a superposition of different states, so that means that San that we are seeing is living in a certain dimension YET he's from a different dimension. Also, when we see San alone we can think that the rest of Ateez perished, while when we see San with the rest of the group, is a different San that came from a different dimension, so the original San of that dimension perished instead but somehow was replaced by a different San. So that’s why San is behind the rest, he might know he really doesn’t belong there yet he’s protecting their backs like he did in his real dimension. Also, this interpretation might differ if you start to consider also the timeline, but I will just stick with different spaces but considering these alternate versions at the same time. I’m not going to interpret my view of time space here, it’s already difficult for me to learn physics on uni so I will finish it here. THANXX FOR THIS VIDEO REACTION!
It's interesting how minimalistic all their Japanese videos are, and yet how beautiful and impactful they are for their simplicity. The songs tend to be more vocal-driven for the Japanese market, too. I think it's telling that even though this song is not the product of the Eden+Edenary team, not only does it fit with ATEEZ's overall concept and theme at this stage in their lore, it also nicely showcases how they can take a song and make it cannon, if you will. There are, as always, more questions than answers, but they've done a great job of showcasing the members and highlighting Wooyoung's and Yeosang's vocals here, which we simply don't (can't?) get enough of. I love your analysis, and it's cute that you thought it felt anime [because it's anime]. Good read of the room!
rocky actually one of the songs that produced by hongjoong and he get inspired by rocky the movie when he wrote the lyrics also he said he was thinking about mingi and his hiatus so that is why ming is kinda the main character in rocky mv and even when they perform it in concerts rocky is one of my fav songs and the story behind the lyrics makes it even better for me
ohhhh i forgot rocky also is not just 8 months ago it is older than that it was a b side korean tracks on one of their albums that released in 2021 and when atinys loves it a lot so it became the title track for that Japanese album

Limitless is the op song for the anime "Duel Masters WIN". I love all of their Japanese releases; they all sound amazing. They ought to create osts for more widely watched anime since their music-I don't know how to put it-just fits. I'm hoping you can react to "Still Here", another of their Japanese songs. The vocals are just fantastic.

I could go on and on about how obsessed I am about EVERYTHING that ATEEZ is and how fascinating their lore is, how moving and inspirational their lyrics are, their jaw-dropping talent - from dance skills, to vocal ability and range, to being performance BEASTS/KINGS, their duality, their gorgeous visuals, their amazing videos and the beautiful cinematography, the cool experimentation musically and their music production, and just how sweet, humble and kind they are as young men and how they remain so down to earth, despite their growing success and popularity.
And yes, just as so many others have mentioned, this song is an OST made for the TV Tokyo anime Duel Masters Win - so some of the lyrics (like in Hongjoong's rap) might make even more sense if you are familiar with the anime, especially "card" references: like at the very end of the song when when Hongjoong sings, "With this CARD we'll win, shield over rare" and in the chorus when Wooyoung sings, "now take hold of this HAND...", because it's an anime about cards (kinda like YuGiOh).
ATEEZ and their production team have this amazing ability for their lyrics to have several layers of meaning. Every single ATEEZ song correlates ( in one way or another) to their lore/storyline, but even if you don't know a thing about their lore, the lyrics can still apply to one's life... and with this song, the lyrics clearly apply perfectly to this anime about cards, too.

Atiny theory is we’re going back to the treasure series or the wonderland era and this song is somewhere in between because the logo on the flags is the logos for wonderland and treasure, in wonderland San didn’t have a flag but was surrounded by the members and the seven flags.
The anarchy symbol was also on there kingdom stage for Rhythm ta it was on the van, the blimb, and when Hongjoong was speaking it was on the podium. You’re were right about it also being on the Guerrilla MV but last we seen it, it was on San stomach when they perform Cyberpunk.

I also wanna point out, that the only ATEEZ member that glitched in this MV is Hongjoong. 😉 Whereas in Halazia we had Seong Hwa and Jong Ho glitching.

A couple of lore things with Ateez's Japanese releases, they seem to never be situated in the current timeline. Most Atiny assume that this mv in lore takes place between Answer and Wonderland so it is based in the Treasure Era. The reasons we believe this is because the flags in the MVs are the Treasure Era logos and Flags... we first see the striped flag in Wonderland. The reason we say between them is because the specific color of the flags, there is only one Treasure Era album that is the exact same color of the flags being flown and that is the Album that Answer is on.
Another thing is as you mentioned there are only seven flags, every member but San seems to have one, and in the MV for Wonderland San is surrounded by seven flags... In lore we are not sure if San is dead or just trapped in need of rescue. We have actually seen San sacrifice himself for the group in several different instances. In Ateez XR concert there is a VCR that has San taking down one of the Android Guardians (dudes in a white chain mask that we see in Answer, Fireworks, and in Kingdom), we see San sacrificing himself again in the Answer performance in Kingdom, in Guerrilla San is the sacrifice by leading the guards away from the rest of the members, and of course in Halazia he brings the ball down on himself (there may be more but I can't remember at the moment).
We see two versions of each of the members, and some think this is a double meaning, not only are they overcoming themselves but this just may in fact be both Ateez and Halateez, with Halateez training Ateez to help with the fight.
The tattoos are one the album cover for Limitless and they decrease in size on each member from Oldest to Youngest, cant really tell though if Seonghwa has the longest as the oldest or if Hongjoong does as the leader, Jongho definitely has the smallest.
Oh and this sounds like at anime opening because it IS an anime opening. Lol the two songs on this album are from the anime Duel Masters Win, with Limitless being the opening OST and Diamond being a song the play within the anime itself. Which is why sometimes they said the word Rare out of context or the references to shield and attack, which I believe are all cards within the anime.

Also, I agree San doesn’t have a flag if you look at the group photo shot. I’ve heard theories that he died in Halazia so he wouldn’t have a flag, so you’re right on the money. I’m not knowledgeable on a lot of the lore but it seems to be the common theme
Im in love with ateez harmonies. All their vocalists are so good. And their harmonies are even brilliant. jongho and Seonghwa in Rocky and jongho Yunho in Limitless. Its just chefs kiss.

The tattoo you see are little dashes that are also on the album cover. I don't know the meaning, but I know that the lines are longer for the older members and gets shorter for the younger members. Jongho is the youngest so he has the shortest. I think it's a cool detail honestly!!

"get your head out of the gutter" and then playing limitless right after is EVIL xD no but in all honesty, i don't remember ever having seen the rocky mv even though youtube says i have... and them showing a wrestling belt is probably poor research, but at the end of the day it's an mv and this isn't a harmful mistake (imo, correct me if i'm wrong, i know nothing about wrestling or boxing)
and limitless def could be played in an anime, ppl already made jokes about it and put a group picture of ateez next to haikyuu, yuuri on ice and free (i believe) lol

Hongjoong in the Rocky MV reminds me a lot of like G-Dragon from BIGBANG.

Rocky is a legit amazing Work out song lol ! Personally I am not the biggest fan of Limitless (I am not a massive Fan of the chorus tbh, I love the Vocals but the "background" music is not something that I like)
It was kind of you to describe it as "minimalism", but I always feel sorry for ATEEZ's MVs released in Japan on a small budget. Among the Japanese releases, "Rocky" has a unique choreography, and "Limitless" uses a chic color scheme based on black. It doesn't feel "cheap".
Japanese is not a suitable language for rap, so rappers are always struggling. The rap part of "Rocky" is hard to hear even for me, a Japanese person. This is not a problem of ATEEZ, but rather the Japanese translation was not good. But "Limitless" is very well translated and the words fit well with the melody. With that melody, the familiar Japanese sounds very fresh. I love Sun's part too.
However, while "Rocky" was a very ATEEZ-like song, "Limitless" has a J-pop, anime song-like atmosphere, and I don't think it's ATEEZ-like. how did you feel about it?
