Very good to have 👂 to hear. Last year I was asleep 😴 on my daughter’s bed 🛌. In the 3 o’clock hour in the morning I woke to the soft voice of the Holy Spirit say “ Philippians 1:21 “ I got up and started my day, immediately wondering if that’s even a scripture verse from the Bible? I looked it up and found it ❤.

I used to complain about everything but being in spiritual warfare I've learned matter how bad things are or get it's always something to thank God for. Look around you look at the people in the third world countries suffering nothing looking at your children starve and they can't be helped. Look at the children that are born deformed has cancer St Jude Hospital. Today before God I'm ashamed to complain about anything. Today all I ask God is for endurance in the name of Jesus Amen.

As a Teacher and a Pastor, it's really helpful for me! For to me to present the word of God i must understand the original intent of a Author whom they refer to that present day, meaning original ordinance that were there at that time, and than I could take a "biblical principle" and, Me living it first, and than preach and teaches for applicable in a bigger picture to others.

Philippians is a book that's always been a favourite. I've been going through tough times lately after the death of a friend through grief and self-doubt. This book reminds me that I need to commit it to God as I have been trying to do it myself.

My favourite book. Filled with joy despite the harsh circumstances of Paul and the Philippians. And I've learned yet another theme to this, which is how the central poem echoes through the entire epistle.

I'm having difficulty seeing the poetry in "The Messiah Poem" of Phillipians 2:6-11. Even verse 2:6 begins mid-sentence in my translation. Was this poetic in Hebrew? Thanks for your great videos!

“I gave My back to those who struck Me, and My cheeks to those who plucked out the beard; I did not hide My face from shame and spitting.” (Isaiah 50:6)

"My scourging at the time of the cross only reflected the life of spiritual suffering I lived in. I lived My life of sacrifice, of denying evil, or in other words fasting. Fasting comes in many forms not just food. It is a representation of going without for the greater in return. To suffer is no different to this and it is not referring to being in torment, but it simply means denying yourself for My sake. It means to count all things as loss in order to gain the highest prize - Me. When I was beaten and scourged, My prize was you. I counted it a joy to suffer for your sake, knowing that through it I would gain you. That is why it was a joy for Me to give My back to be struck and My cheeks to have My beared plucked. That is why I did not hide My face from shame and spitting; because it was a joy to suffer for you. Do you count it a joy to suffer for My sake? I do not require you to be beaten and scourged but I do require you to live a life of prayer and fasting. Like Peter, James and John on the Mountain of Transfiguration, they walked in the instant power because they were with Me.
Living a life of fasting is what it means for you to suffer. You must fast from your own desires even as I did, and focus your life building towards the real prize, knowing that in Me you have nothing to lose but everything to gain. Suffering is but for the moment so count it a joy when you fall into various trials, knowing that it will produce fruits of life. It is these fruits that make a person who they are in Me. Therefore, whatever things are true, noble, just, pure, lovely, of good report, - meditate on these things. Let this be your hope. It begins with will you make Me the prize of your life?"
