I’m 44. There was my music life before BTD and after BTD. I didn’t have any way of knowing it at the time. It’s only in the last few years loving Billie and Lorde that I realized 75% of what I listen to was born with BTD. What can I say? Sad girl music is the best. Lana is on her own level though. No artist seems to get better and deeper and more layered with more listens in the way she does. And yeah. I have never gotten sick of this album. I don’t think it’s possible.
Of course. Born To Die is essential album of this decade. the best. the most important. the most influental.
One of the, if not, the best discographies to exist. Her albums are always revolutionary for each year, the time, that they were released.

Lana was my first foray into english language artists!! We live in california, but i grew up speaking spanish so i never heard music in english.
After i got my first phone, the first song i heard was the born to die mv when it appeared in my YT recommended shortly after it came out.
I was 12 when i heard the album and was so captivated by it and loved her since. My fav song was always off to the races, theres just something so unhinged yet beautiful about the production and lyrics, and to me the album hasnt aged a bit.

nah, carmen is great and a very clever song, imo. carmen IS lana, she was an alcoholic in her teen years and she's using "carmen" (her younger self) as a metaphor for alcohol and how it can "seduce" people, If alcohol was a person it would be "carmen", a girl who everyone loves and is tempted by.
