Imagine being told you are the most powerful being in their world. Only to be (temporarily) crippled, powerless, useless. Then to be told that the newly established air nation peace keeping force will replace you. After all that, everyone now tells you to rest easy knowing that you are no longer needed. Damn, Korra really got put through a grinder. Wished they had kept expanding on that, trying to find inner peace, instead of another massive conflict.

@lightningjadejavier that's what happens when the villains/antagonists are very powerful. That doesn't mean she is a bad avatar. Plus, she still managed to defeat them all, and despite suffering a lot, she still came back every time she was needed.
