    is used as a commercial mushroom for food in Finland, but it requires very careful cooking for eliminating the poison. Every vendor has to have visible warnings in sight and provide specific cooking instructions. The cooking has to be done twice in a well ventilated space (water changed for the second cooking). Of course I don't recommend the use of these mushrooms to anyone unfamiliar with the procedure. You also have to be sure about the exact species of Gyromitra you are dealing with - like always with any mushrooms.

    6;43 we did this in africa, early 90's to help with their farming. we'd collect under bushes etc and add to the rows...cool huh
